Bluetooth tends to disrupt the WLAN Signal in practice?

I know that Bluetooth and W - LAN, both running on the same band of signal, technically speaking, I guess you expect to disrupt each other, but I think to put a bluetooth mouse to use with the bluetooth on my laptop and so will use both Bluetooth and W - LAN whole, constantly.

Someone else did this, and you have problems with it?

Thanks in advance, Jack...

It's a problem of the first versions of material Bluetooth (Bluetooth 1.0 and 1.1). If your Bluetooth hardware is newer for example not longer than 4 years, then it shouldn't be a problem to use Bluetooth and Wlan at the same time. The specification of the bluetooth Bluetooth 1.2 material a mechanismn call "Adaptive Frequency Hopping" (AFH), which avoids interference between WLAN and bluetooth. If you are not sure if your material is new enough to check it out, visit the following Web site:

In case it of not possible to use the internal WiFi card, I recommend to use an external USB WiFi dongle.

The weak WiFi signal could be related to parameters that are in energy saving Windows power management.

It of possible to change the power to save the settings for different portable devices and generally depends on the use of the laptop. In case you use the battery mode, you can change the setting to increase the battery working time. But generally, this affects the performance of the device.

Here's a nice technical document how to manage these settings (it of currently for Win 7 but very similar to Win 8 or 8.1 Win)
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD12017W0001R01.htm

I recommend you to choose the most efficient setting of PCI Express wireless adapter settings
By the way: in many cases its helpful to change the configuration of the WLan router. Try to use different channels (1-11) and different encryption (WPA / WPA2 TKIP AES)

  • Satellite A350 is no longer able to use the WLan

    Hello guys,.

so... I started using Bluetooth earlier, use of the Internet via a cable... Today I tried to use my WLan again, but it did not work (worked well before).
So I tried to activate it via FN + F8, but all I can see is activate Bluetooth, one for the WLan disappeared?
The WiFi light only blinks when Bluetooth is activated. I would rather turn off Bluetooth that not being able to use the WLan.

    I think it's a similar problem
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=67514&TSTART=0
but I really didn't want to install a bad driver or anything like that.

I use a 32-bit Vista and my PC-Tool says that I use these networks currently (I just copy and pasted because honestly, I have no idea, hahaha).
    Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) Version = 6.208.729.2008 MAC address = 00:23:5 A: 05:61:05
    Intel(r) WiFi Link 5100 AGN Version = 12.2.0.11 MAC address = 00:21:5 D: 62:D8:1 C

I would be so happy if someone could help me fix the problem anytime soon, because I really need wireless capability soon. Thanks :)

Former Satellite A350 was delivered origin with Vista OS, so at first I would like to know if you use original recovery image (OS) that you got with your laptop.
If I understand you good WLAN card is installed and registered properly in Device Manager. Can you confirm this?

I have Satellite A300 and a friend of my A350 but WLAn works properly on both machines so I m a bit confused why the WLAN option is missing when you use the FN + F8 key combination.
I m wondering why WLAN is detected by the system but ignored by the utility of flash cards.

I'm don't know if this will help, but try to follow:
Enter the BIOS and set it to default settings
    Reseat the wireless network card.
Reinstall the extra value package, and check again.

If the problem persists after doing all this, you have to do a final check and reinstall the OS using original recovery image that you got with your laptop. It's a way more radical, but certainly more efficient to solve a software problem.

  • Portege R700-14f - impossible to activate the WLan

I want to set the standard windows 7 OS on the laptop (PT310E-R700-14f)
I have problems to get Fn + F8.
It won't let me turn off or turn on the bluetooth.

Now I think the problem is with the driver of the wireless (broadcom) adapter

The prepared image on toshiba has the Broadcom driver driver version: 5.60.48.42

in the download section, I can only find the version of the driver:

Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver Windows 7 (32/64) 5.60.48.35

    Best regards

    Marc

    Hello

Well, if the Wlan driver is not installed, then you won't be able to activate the WLan using FN + F8
This means that you will install driver WLan.

I recommend the WLan card. Install a diagnosis like Everest home Edition tool that will help you to get the WLan card details.

All the drivers are located here:

  • Satellite L450 - 13G - No WLAN signal after a few minutes

    Hello. I just bought a L450 13 G with Windows 7 pre loaded.

I noticed that a lot of times drops wifi connection. It starts as an excellent signal and then suddenly fades to no signal after a few minutes. I can't get it remains connected, if I'm in the same room or the next day. I have also a few years L or U 200 (I think) and it remains connected wherever I am at home.

    What could be the problem?

    Hey Buddy,

I assume you are using the preinstalled version of Windows 7. Is this good?
If so try to update the WLAN driver. If you are looking for your laptop model, you will find the latest version on the Toshiba site.

In addition, check the configuration of the router. If you use a MAC address filter, try to disable it. Try another encryption and password encryption.
Also check the firmware if you use the most recent one.

  • Unable to connect to the WLan satellite E300

    Hello

I also bought a new Toshiba e300 Satellite yesterday. I have the same problems and have updated to the latest firmware. What is complicated is, I have 3 other laptops (mac, more old toshiba & acer) and 3 iphones, they are all able to connect to my wireless network and it's only the new toshiba which cannot.

Other devices could see other local wireless in my neighborhood networks, while the new toshiba could see that my own wireless with only one bar of signal strength.

Looks like the Atheros device is the only issue. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

    >.. .updated to the latest firmware
    Firmware? Which firmware?

Maybe from other computers laptops don't use WLAN n standard and your new laptop computer for this. Who knows what standards to use all these wireless LANs. Try to check the WLAN settings on your router and your new Toshiba.

  • Tecra 9100 - unable to connect to the WLan access point

    Hello

I have a Tecra T9100 with miniPCI WLan. I reinstalled XP Pro and all the drivers (downloaded from the Toshiba site) and I've always had a problem with Wifi:

I can see all access point (in the windows control panel), but when I click on connect, I received a message that the access point is no more...
He didn't ask me for the security settings?

    does anyone have an idea?

    Much thanks

    Leclere

    Hello

To my knowledge the Tecra 9100 was equipped with the wireless LAN standard: 802. 11B mini card PCI ORiNOCO.

You need to check if the WiFi signal is strong enough for a transmission correctly
I think that the signal of WLan access points is not strong enough because of the distance.

  • Satellite Pro L100: Wireless network card cannot find the Wlan router

    Hello

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite pro L100, which has a built in wireless card, an Atheros AR5005g. I activated the card wireless via the switch on the laptop, and then I let the search for available networks. She is 4-5 or secured creditor and unsecured networks in my area, but it does not find my router which is about 3 meters from the hotel!

I tried to manually configure my network to see if the laptop can locate it, but without success. I've used a network card in my last laptop, a Belkin 802.11 g that I then inserted in the excellent connection laptop and bingo to 54mps. But I want to use the integrated wireless card that captures an unsecured somewhere network in my area but the signal is weak and is very slow.

Can someone help me please? The router that I'm trying to access is a Netger WGR 614. NETGEAR were not useful.
    Rgds,

    Richard.

    Hello

First of all I want to say that for these questions there is not a magic solution.
I think that you need to check many options that could have a negative influence on the WLan connectivity.
First of all, you should check if the Wlan router supports WLan standard even as the Wlan card. For example 802.11 B or G or both

Disable all ciphers on the router as well as the MAC address filtering.
Then check the WiFi channels! Try to use the same channel on the map of local area network on the router.

Which driver do you use? Try to download the latest WLan driver Atheros site.
I think the Atheros provides the own local network configuration utility. Try to use it.

As you can see, there are many options that must be verified

    Additional information:
Also, one of my notebooks is not able to connect to the router because I use a WLan router that supports a 802.11 BG WLan standard and in my book the AB 802.11 card has been installed.
So I can't connect to the router ;(

  • Satellite A660 - Bluetooth problem - disappeared from the bar of the State etc.

    Dear all,

    frustrated newbie.

Bluetooth has disappeared from the system on my Satellite A660 tray and I can't work out how to get it back.
It worked a few months ago, but since I don't use it everyday,
I did not notice when he disappeared.

I tried the fsquirt.exe thing, but the icon opens a window that does nothing (it seems to me that bluetooth is off but I can't find where to turn it on and Fn + F8 does not work).

I have downloaded the driver atheros, which is extracted to a temporary folder and then does nothing.
I think I need to uninstall - reinstall but do not know how to proceed.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    arghh

    Arfur

All this is a bit complicated on your laptop. I assume that stick Toshiba BT (BT software) is always pre-installed on your machine. Can you please check?

Using the FN key combination you can toggle WIFI and BT. When you say that it does not work how to understand this? Can you turn on WLAN on/off? BT option IS missing? You can use the WLAN button placed between the keyboard and display (function keys)?

Please check such fundamental things in first and post more details. Later we continue to discuss reinstalling drivers.

  • Satellite U400 - cannot bluetooth speaker pair using the Toshiba BT stack

    Dear all,

I would be very happy to help / advice you can offer the following.

    I have a U400 I got about 10 months ago.
The built-in laptop bluetooth that I keep all the drivers up to date via the toshiba tempro tool.
Last night, I got a bluetooth (Gear4 blackbox) speaker that I thought would be easy to pair it with bluetooth. This speaker uses the A2DP.

-The wizzard "Add new connection" found the speakers but could not perform a pairing no matter how many times I tried.
This could be due to my existing drivers are not currently supporting A2DP? I'm already using a bluetooth mouse without any problems

-Try to solve this problem, I downloaded the latest Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (Version 6.40.02) and I tried to install. I have not tried unistalling anything until this... I just run the installation. This has got to a point and got stuck trying to install the bluetooth file transfer. I had to cancel and then use system restore to get back to where I started. Should I unistall existing bluetooth before installing the battery Bluetooth Toshiba? What should I do?

-Toshiba laptop computers come with Toshiba Bluetooth Stack already installed?

I am really grateful for any help and advice

    Thank you very much

    John

    Hello
    > Toshiba computers laptops come with Toshiba Bluetooth Stack already installed?
    Of course!
All laptops that are equipped with internal BT module have a preinstalled BT stack!

But to be able to use Bluetooth, enable it first using the FN + F8 key combination

This key combination allows the Wlan and BT, so be sure you have chosen the BT and not Wlan ;)

  • Libretto U100 - Bluetooth to connect with the new Samsung mobile

Just bought 2 new machines: GSM Libretto U100, Samsung E720 Bluetooth equipped both. Uploaded everything first the last battery BT (3.2) using the wizard, my phone has been detected correctly and the first time that he asked a key access code, which i left blank. The second time I tried to connect, he asked no more code. The following screens will appear:
    1. the search for BT - Samsung E720 device detected!
    2. now connect to your BT device
    3. the local device connects to the remote service, please wait...
And now, you can wait for hours because the program has stopped responding.
My mobile has been configured for detectable and BT has been activated.
I read the manual of the phone, but these are the only parameters of BT. The other way around, when I leave my phone to a BT device research, he found nothing.

Thank you very much for making my two toys to talk to eachother!
    Ben.

    Hi Ben

It's not easy to tell what the problem is but as far as I know, you must set the password for pairing.
I recommend you to remove the mobile phone the Bluetooth Manager and re - install the mobile phone settings.
Try to set the password for pairing. In addition, see the following steps:

    1. check if the laptop antenna switch is on.
    2. press the + - key combination to activate the Bluetooth antenna.
If your laptop is integrated WLAN and Bluetooth.
3 start the Bluetooth of the TOSHIBA-> folder settings program Bluetooth to turn on the Bluetooth module. Bluetooth works if you see a blue antenna with a bright blue border of the bar on your screen. Also a blue antenna icon with the name Bluetooth information interchange will appear on the desktop.
    4. check that your Bluetooth hardware is properly installed.
