  Hello.

  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but when I use a smartshape as a button (I select use as a button box), the slide does not stop as it does when I insert a button.  Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

  The normal buttons pause to 1.5secs by default, and you can uncheck the break, change the "timing" in the properties, timing Accordion Panel.

  But they have many more advantages, as you can see in this screen shot, they can appear to the rest of the project, which is impossible with any other interactive object.

• Active forms, groups, buttons

  To try these new features, I created a simple swipe. The slide contains two groups, each group containing 3 smart shape objects. I wanted to make a group in a button that would show the second group. However, it seems that only one smart form can be a button, not a group of shapes. Is this the case?

  No Jay, a group cannot be an interactive object. In advanced actions you can hide/show a group which is a huge time saver

  Would be useful if someone has a solution for me, but I think it's more a problem with Captivate Smart forms in general.

  I like to use active forms in the form of buttons especially now you can have different States for the normal, over and down. The problem is that the active forms when used as buttons shrink, which in some respects is good because it gives the user some type of visual feedback of interactivity and I think that it is the intention then Smart forms as buttons have been introduced. But here's the problem, if you place your cursor on the edge of the button shape and click shape retracts and is no longer under the cursor. When you release your mouse button does not trigger any action that was attached to this button

  I'd be happy for someone to report a quick fix that I am missing but I have not found all the messages about the present. This problem makes me see again my principles of interface design when you use Adobe Captivate and active forms in the form of buttons to make sure that the user clicks in the active area of the Smart button shape.   Hi Rod,

  Yes, it was one of my first thoughts, but I quickly discovered that although the new States are great, they are still very limited in this first version of new feature and you can affect only the background and outline of shape, what got me thinking and found a workaround.  It won't work if you don't have a stroke that is already applied to your shape and you use a fill sold.

  First, I added a line of px 1 to the normal state of the smart shape and it's the same color as my filling. Then I activated the idle state and added a px race 4 of the same color.  "Hey Presto" it worked and the smart shape does not decrease at all.

  You MUST have a stroke, applied to a Normal State to work properly, or any size you do the low width of line of State, it will not increase in size correctly. Strangely, it has increased only very slightly and only about 2 px regardless of what size you defined in your inactive state.

  So that kind of works, but unfortunately I used a random variable of different smart shape using images, gradients and colors buttons different diseases. Close, but no cigar.

  They are still there, but it's a little confusing because they are not all in the same place. The group you see under the BBB (Big Button Bar) "Forms" is only a "types". Once you have selected one of these types, you have more choice in the properties panel, Styles tab, under the "Basic" accordion

  ACTIVATE in OPEN_FORM sets the focus to the form opened to make it the active form, but you can come back in another form.

  Do you have the question slides in your project and trying to jump between slides of questions or outside the question slides.

  I am working on the automation of check-in and check-out items in a queue to process, but the process queue is web-based. I can enter names of users, much IDs, passwords and 'press' buttons validate programmatically by using the properties of the ActiveX IWebBrowser2 (and Associates).

  I finally found a way to do it: download the IHTMLFormElement news by finding the name "dBase" and then find the 2nd (or nth) element with that name and then "click on" this element. Radio buttons are indexed from 0 (or at least LabView reads them like that), so click on the 2nd point ("SandBox"), I had to put a '1' in the index of the invoke node entry.

  

• Create a button to insert an image in a pdf form which disappears once the user hits, a form submission or form reset button?

  I am updating a form of company which was created in Livecycle Designer, by a user who has left the company, which has an image button to join.  The Acrobat of the company bought dc pro for me, thinking that I would be able to update the form, but it is not able to be edited, and I therefore re-created form in ms pro.

  I can get the user to insert an image PDF using javascript

  However not being is not familiar with javascript and still learn acrobat, it's that I can get in the previous forums before I lose myself.

  The javascript works fine to get the image, however is not immediately clear the reset form or submit buttons for forms are used.

  Can someone please give me simple and clear instructions on how to do it?

  P.S. Adobe website does not mention anything not being able to edit livecycle designer forms in other versions of acrobat, so I'm already very frustrated.  So please do replies newby friendly.

  You cannot delete directly. What you can do is a kind of a hack, which is to copy the icon of a button that has not applied to icon.

  If you create an image button (it can be hidden), set it to an icon, but don't actually select one.

  When you want to reset your other button, you can use this code:

• Copy of forms radio buttons

  I have a several page form that contains two text fields, and radio buttons.  The fixed text in multiple pages is different on each page, but the data on the first page in the text and radio button fields need to copy in the identical text fields, and radio buttons on every page.  Text fields are no problem, but how I do on the 2nd radio button entries and the following pages copy the entries on the first page?

  To do that right click on one of the radio buttons in the Group and select Properties. Then, on the Options tab, check the box that says 'the buttons with the same name and the choices are selected in unison. You can select several fields at the same time and apply to each of them, too.
