Active to generate set max file size

Hello

I was wondering if it is possible to set a maximum file size when generating assets, instead of setting the % quality.

For example, instead of marking with a layer of background.jpg50% I want to tagf it background.jpg150kb

It kind of works where the number is less than 10 KB (need to use just the letter K without the B), but does not work for anything over 10 k

Is this possible to do?

Not that I know of. Generator is probably 'see' the 10 k as just 10 for the quality setting.

No reason why you want full control over the size of the file rather than size of the file size or quality of file?

  • WHT should be the max file size in oracle for large databases?

I have Oracle 10 g and Oracle 11 g on AIX, respective sizes databases are 780G and 900G

    & previous DBS was limited to 5 & 8 G,

Now my direction wonder why they are limited to 5 & 8 G?

As I said the recovery time will be more if I did not restict the file size?

But they are not happy with the reason,

What should be the size of maxfiles? & why should be gods to 5 & 8 G?

    Help, please

    Thank you

But how much the size of the file, we can keep the perfect production database?

It depends on the demand, there is no such measures.

What's the diff is, if I keep all files with maximum 8 GB, or files that are more and more like what?

Put the files in AUTOEXTEND , so that if you give any initial size of 100 MB for example, it can grow to its maximum size... e i to the block size of 8 KB 10 gr 2 is 32 GB.

say if I mount point 0f 100G & 12 files of database with the unlimited maxsize parameter, both the mount point will be 100% full.
IS there no impact if the mount fpoint is 100% complete, are there any problems with DISK i/o for the moutpoint.

Well, you must plan what is the existing free space, how you can keep the free space, how much you can add. Nobody will not add without checking the free space in the mount point. This is called planning.

  • DNG vs. RAW owner files sizes

I was told that the dng files are compressed lossless files and would be physically smaller than files gross owners and started to use them in my workflow.  And this seems to be true with most Canon CR2 raw files.  However, I discovered a camera when this is not true and I am looking for a confirmation and an answer as to why.  I have both a Canon 5 d Mark III and a Canon 5 d camera.  On the Canon 5 d Mark III dng files are all smaller than the corresponding raw CR2 file.  About 17% smaller.  However on the 5 d dng files are as much as 50% more according to the raw settings.  The 5 d is a 50mp camera.  Fixed at the maximum 50 mp the dng file is smaller.  On the smallest setting, 12 mp, the file sizes are much the same.  On the medium setting 28mp file sizes can be 50% larger.  Someone knows why?  28 mp is the setting I use most of the time.

    Sparky

This happens because the raw files not full resolution are not of the actual raw files. They are already demosaiced. The unit also uses a different compression algorithm for those who is not completely without loss if I remember correctly, like the color rendition is cooked in raw/sraw. It is a very bad idea. So the advantage of size compression lossless dng only works for normal files, full resolution, raw. In general, if you shoot in raw, you really do not want to use lower resolution settings, some of these cameras offer as you get all the benefits of the raw files of this way.

    2. double-click on my computer, right-click the icon for your hard drive, click left to get its properties. If you see options to set Quota management make sure that they are disabled.

  • What is the size of the max file on an NFS datastore

the blocksize parameter sets the size of the max file on a LUN data store, but I can't seem to remember or find information about the maximum file size permitted with a NFS data store.

any information or references would be appreciated.

personally, I wonder if that format of underlying disk as ntfs or ext3 for zfs as determined by the o/s

    Thank you

    Wayne

As much as I know there is no size limit of the NFS file - it depends on your OS - all that it supports (if you plan to use this file inside the virtual machine) and the size of your NFS share.

As a general rule people tend to apply limits of san to NFS, just to put a figure on it.

PS I did some tests with 2 TB filesize on NFS.

  • Custom fonts: min and max maximum size on the font file?

    Hello

What is the limit of file size (max and min) on the font file for loading custom fonts?

I have search the Forum and found a comment by Peter_strange.

"The documentation says 60 K or 90K depending on how load you, 90 K if you load a an InputStream memory."

But I want to be sure, share please if someone has the info.

    Thank you.

    Pradeep thanks for your clarification.

Now, I checked that there is no limit of min file size and maximum file size limit is 90 KB for load of cases and 60 KB in case of direct load flow.

I also have a resource good sample by peter_strange -.

  • Project of bloating and repair in Premiere Pro CS6; The Max project file size? Adobe welcome coders...

    Greetings.

After a few sessions, navigation I have not found a specific problem within a bloat of project management. First; We are always backed up. I have a copy of the restoration of the project to which I have referred herein. Verify that the list.

Several people have posted here and around Creative Cow with problems about a growing using CS6 file size; I look at the files range from 300 MB to 2.8 GB. The unfortunate problem is when the project crosses a magical line that translates into an inability to open, import, export or access the sequences contained therein. Has anyone addressed a solution to repair the first CS6 save files? Reduce file bloat? I saw nothing (remember the days of repair FCP7... of solutions exist because the problems were frequent; fortunately not so bad with Adobe).

Know someone inside the code size file size maximum project first can read? I've created a monster... More than 200 sequences using 4.5 TB of sequences, which extends from Red EXCam MPEG4 and H264 codecs. And for a while, the size of the project was manageable. Then, it inflated. And one day stopped randomly opening. No of auto-enregistre it open.

Just curious. The files are not the problem, but the 2.8 GB backup file is. Specifications of the machine / / etc. are freely available, if needed. a lot of ram, no problem with all projects (just that one beast).

    See you soon,.

    Jon Michael Ryan

The problem lies in the automatic backup. Disable it. Turn 200 minutes. Save the project yourself. Make your own auto save folder. It has everything, but he healed for us. Now it's turn to Adobe to fix it.

  • cRIO FTP transfer file size limit

    Hello

I generated a data file on my cRIO which is about 2.1 GB in size. I can't transfer this file to the cRIO via FTP. I tried windows FTP Explorer, the built in MAX file transfer utility, coreFTP and WinSCP. I am able to transfer other files on the cRIO which are smaller in size.

Is there a file size of FTP transfer limit? It is around 2 GB? Is that all I can do to get this file out of the camera?

    Thank you!

OK, I was informed that there is a CAR on this #252919 issue. VxWorks cRIO targets cannot FTP of files greater than 2 GB. The workarounds are to transfer on a USB key or upgrade to LV2013 and use WebDAV.

  • Why the file size does not change when I use "Process multiple Images" to add a watermark?

    Hello

I use 11 elements. To add a watermark to a lot of JPG photos at the same time, I use the function 'process multiple files.

I select a source folder and a destination folder and adds a number to three numbers for each file. I do NOT check the box marked 'change photo size. After that, I set the watermark I want printed on my photos and hit OK. All files in the source folder are processed and saved with a new name in the destination folder. Loyally.

But. The file size of the new file is strongly reduced, compared to the original. He's going from 10 MB to 500 KB (in general). Why is this? Is there a way I can help?

    Kind regards

    / Mikael Lindgren

File size reduction is the effect of jpeg compression. In the process several files dialog, check the bottom option "convert files to the format" and choose "jpeg max quality.
