• Visual Studio 2010 Side By Side error invalid XML syntax

  I spent much of last week trying to research and make changes of trial and error to solve this problem, and nothing has helped. I am full of ideas. I get exactly the same results on all programs, on which I worked in Visual Studio. I also had it on Visual Studio once, forcing me to have to reinstall Visual Studio to correct.

  The question:

  I have just published a new i7 Windows 7 x 64 system base to replace my old system of Windows 7 x 32 i3. They both have the latest patches and the latest .NET until 4.5.2. I also use Visual Studio 2010 with all the patches except service pack 1 (although I tried at a time with the service pack and it made no difference). I also tried 4.6.1, .NET and it made no difference. This new system is brand new, with very little installed outside Microsoft Office, SQL Server 2012 Management Studio and Visual Studio 2010, Windows 7.

  For these past years, I've worked on 6 programs different here (so far), and we use TFS for source code control. On the new system, I lower the code and it compiles properly for all solutions. I can run the programs of many times without any problem and the event logs show any problem of their execution.

  Then, after restarting the system, none of the program will run. When I try to run one of them, I get immediately a dialog modal system indicating that the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.

  When you look at the event log, I always get the following error next message:

  Activation context generation failed for "[program]". Manifest error or the folder policy "[program] .exe." Configuration"on line 1. Invalid Xml syntax.

  NOTE: replace [program] with the path + name of the given program.

  I use the system generated 'by default' unmodified manifest files. I tried to review them and files config in XMLNotepad, and no problem was indicated, except in the manifest, he noted that the first schema referenced file assembly.adaptive.xsd which was not anywhere.

  If I remove the encoding = "Windows-1252" part, the program runs without incident, although .NET puts the right encoding of part in the first run. I tried to put the udf-8 coding and .NET simply replaces the encoding with the above value at the start of the program. After a reboot, it is unable to run again for the same reason, until I have change the configuration again. This isn't a solution long term for production code!

  If I change the project settings and disable the Click Once security settings and set the project do not generate a manifest, then he works constantly (several tracks to try again and several restarts without incident). However, I use Click Once to deploy updates, so it's not a useful alternative to long term because at the time wherever I try to publish to Click Once, it changes the security settings of full trust automatically and generates a manifest, triggering the problem even once. This also causes the advertised program with the same problem for everyone who gets the update.

  These programs all compiled and ran on my old system without incident, even after multiple system restarts. They also have deployment click once without problem, and the click once deployment took place without incident.

  It is as if .NET does not recognize the encoding "Windows-1252". And, since the only real difference between my old and new systems is the former is x 32 and the new is x 64, so I think it has something to do with the x 64 version. But that is only a guess.

  My new system is essentially unusable as a system of development because of this problem at the present time.

• Invalid SQL syntax causes the removal of the view

  I have found that when you change a view through SQL Developer, entering the syntax invalid SQL and hit 'Cancel' causes in my opinion should be deleted. Here are the steps that present this problem for me:
  
  1. create, save, and close a valid database view by clicking right "views" on the Connections tab and selecting «New view...» »
  2. open the view via a right click on the view and selecting ' Edit... »
  3 change to point to a non-existent table
  4 try to save, select "OK".
  5. when presented with an error message, click OK in the dialog box "Edit Error object.
  6. click on 'Cancel' in the window "Edit View".
  7. right click on the view, and then select 'open '. The "SQL" tab is empty, even though you can see the value in the "Columns" tab
  8. after refreshing, the view is a party.
  
  I looked under the problems known and searched the forum to see if it had been reported. Please let know us if there is some setting I can change to avoid this problem. I hope it's a bug, because I can't imagine the changes not saved, causing the removal of the view would be the desired behavior. Please find below my contact information of the environment.

• I've forgotten my pwd sync and the email I used is like. How can I copy my old info, acct (setting, Add - ons, ect.) without sync settings, a new account?

  I recently had to reset my computer to factory settings. After you install firefox, I realized that I had forgotten my password synchronization. Unfortunately, the email associated with my original account is now gone, so I can't just change my password. From now on, I copied my account from my laptop information and substituted default account on my desk information, so at least I have my favorites and other features the same parameters.

  Is it possible to create a new account and copy all my old settings (excluding the synchronized data) and create a new synchronization configuration? Or the method I've implemented will be effective to synchronize any bookmarks or changes that I do from one computer to another?

• By-side HTC Sync Manager error

  I recently had the hard drive in my laptop replaced as the last of them broke. I also have a HTC One S so one of the first things I did was re - download HTC Sync Manager, but whenever I click on it to open it, it is just straight up with an error message saying that it is impossible to start due to a side-by-side configuration error. I had a glance on the error log and have tried various things like controls error etc, but nothing worked. Just for the information opens additional HTC Sync, but the HTC Sync Manager does not work.

  IHAC who expected to see the following behavior on the management of the users password:
  
  (1) when the user change password on behalf of IOM, this password must be propagated to all targets (AD and DB table).
  Ok... I had the behavior.
  
  (2) when the user change the AD account password, this password must be propagated to the user IOM account (therefore this password will be propagated to all the goal)...
  How can I do to achieve this?
  With AD password synchronization, I can just sync the password between the target and resource password form.
  
  Note: AD is not the Source of confidence. The announcement should only be trusted for the password source.

  It seems that the connector has changed since the last I used it about 4 years ago. You will need to create additional tasks and the logic to handle this. When password on the form AD process changes, you will have to also compare the password definition as well. And if they are different, then you will want to reset the password on the user form. When runs in your task to change the user password, it returns the same password to the form of the user of the AD, which then will not do anything because there will be a real change on the ground, which means that the update of password does not work. And then you also have your task to change the password on your other resources that will send the new password.

• Vista error from coast to coast

  I get the following error when I try to run AVG anti-virus.
  Program cannot run because the Configuration Error side by side.
  The event log contains the following entry.

  AVG has worked up until the installation of .net 3.5 SP1

  I tried to uninstall .net SP1, but it did not help.

  Uninstalled and reinstalled several times AVG, including new download from the server, without change of status of the error

  I also installed and re-installed Visual C++ Version 5 DURATION as suggested with no change in status of the error.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  You could try to uninstall Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable and then download the latest version here:

  If you have any problems, it may be best to leave. Try to repair it could cause more problems.

• Cannot start applications. I have "set up side by side" when I try to run any application.

  I'm helping a friend fix his computer. He reports that, after restarting a auto update, if it tries to launch any application, it gets this error:

  I checked. Attempting to run desktop applications will generate this error. However, I can launch the Control Panel, Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) and another at the level of the system features (the command line).

  It seems that the C++ Redistributable packages have been damaged on his machine, so I downloaded the file vcredist_x86.exe Redistributable 2005 and 2008. Unfortunately, I can not run these files on his machine. You try to run generates them the same error generated by other applications.

  I also tried to run the repair of a Vista feature install disk but that also causes the same error.

  Go to the command (cmd.exe) prompt with admin rights [1] and run sfc [2]:

  sfc.exe/scannow

  He is able to find and repair broken files? If this is not the case, replace the manifesto by the file of your DVD [3].

  My battery ran out. When I then tried to start, I got a java message "update." I ran the update. I then rebooted, and now none of my apps will work. Get side-by-side configuration is incorrect message. Looked at the newspaper, but you see not all details that look useful to me. Something about invalid xml syntax in the manifest. Event ID 59.

  I tried to restart using the "last good configuration", but no go.

  Existing execution mode of administrator of the server... just stop all services, then it should be ok.

  Note: always if its only market not try to restart you PC and then start the services.

  Hi all

  My bad, I gave the wrong research base. Problem solved.

  However, I need only run a recon reliable source for asset
  Users. I have given filter as useraccountcontrol = 512 but had casting exception.
  Guidance on how to specify the filter to get only active accounts of the AD?

• ERR = 34 with no previous operation shown

  I have a new client that connects who receives a "err = 34" (Invalid DN syntax). I looked all over the news and I see this error again and again, but I never see it associated with a previous operation.
  
  As in the example below "conn = 1630 op = 1" has an err = 34, but there is no other lines in the log for this connection and operation, so I don't understand what operation occurs which results in the error.
  
  I looked at a bunch of logs & this customer, I just saw this question on & much more. "err = 34" is always on a line of operation which operates without precedent.

  The domain name that is used to link, and who is wanted for (the same DN) is DN is valid, and no problem on the link.

  "I think your search base" dn: UID = testid, O = Societetest. You can't have ' dn:' in the research base. Check it out.
