AdBlocker keeps disappearing

I was glad with no problems for centuries, but he just disappeared one day. As in, he's going to go to work with the small icon in the browser, to be simply missing, no notification, no icon and of course advertising not being blocked, and don't check my modules etc shows me, I have no AdBlock at all.

I checked your forums and read to remove extension files in case they are corrupted, so I did, but nothing is fixed, my next few copies of the anti-ad disappeared too.

(After I found it went the first time, I downloaded AdBlocker Edge instead of the usual anti-Ad 2.1.6, that's what I use... But each time, the next day he's gone too. This is the third time in as many days, I downloaded this anti-ad.)

I've been checking while I browse to see where it goes, but I don't see it happen, as far as I know he disappears around shut down or start up, not while the browser is open. I tried opening and closing the browser but AdBlocker remains in place, only when I turn off the computer made it disappear somehow before using it.

Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

Hello, you use avast anti-virus software? It is known to cause problems such as the removal of the addons for the moment unfortunately...

The control at the top left of my browser buttons keep disappearing! They leave me no other way I know to close or minimize the page but to exit firefox. This is not the problem, unless I want to just look at other work on my screen but not leave firefox altogether but simply switch vertically when necessary. I am extremely frustrated with this! This isn't in any convenient way for the use of the internet and my other apps that don't require a browser to open.

Possibly related: last month, some Mac users have reported that the 3 buttons would disappear if you full-screened a video and then have left full-screen for video. A workaround solution suggested for this was to display the title bar, which is hidden by default.

You want to try for a few hours and see if it makes a difference? To display the title bar on each window, you must click on a button at the bottom left of the Customize tab. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

(PIN) App tabs and groups of tabs (Panorama) are stored in session data [1] in the sessionstore.js file [2] in the Firefox profile folder [3].

Make sure that you do not use "Clear recent history" to clear the 'browsing history' when Firefox is closed because who wins and prevent Firefox tabs from the previous session.

It is also possible to use the "Show my windows and tabs from last time" parameter, which is generally a more reliable way to restore the session data.

    Hello EJHX,

You can do this by changing the special folder of the Source registry path. You can use the Update to do, or you can do it manually.

[1] method: The use of tune-up to set up special folders

    • Open the integrator of the tune-up or the State Bar Directory
    • Select the Customize Windows from Start Tune-Up Center
    • Click options preferences and behaviors
    • In the left pane, select system under Administration
    • In the right pane, select special folders tab controller
    • Select "Windows configuration files" in the "Special feature" column in the list, then click on 'change '.
    • Find the folder and click OK when finished
    • Click OK again to save the settings
[2] method: Using Windows Registry Editor to configure the SourcePath value

    • On the start menu, select "Run."... »
    • Insert: regedit.exe
    • In the left pane, navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft Computer\ My
      \Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup
    • In the right pane, double-click the value SourcePath "' which is a string value
    • Insert the desired location, and then click OK to save the settings
NOTICE: You can change the setting back after you are done after the execution of SFC.

    Hi, Lewis S.,.

Shortcuts to sites will initially their own custom icon when you create a shortcut. This icon is called a "favicon.ico" and is stored in the temporary Internet files (TIF) cache, which is where all website files, are stored when you visit them. If the cache is disabled, all custom icons are removed.

You can restore the favorite icons of bookmarking site again. The other method is described below.

Step 1: Locate the favorite on the Temporary Internet Files folder icons.

    a. the default temporary Internet files location is C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

    b. navigate to the location above.

    c. ensure that the hidden files and folders is disabled so that you can access the location.

    Reference: Show hidden files

    d. type fav*.ico in the search field. This will pull up your favorite icons.

    e. copy and paste icons to another folder, such as the C:\Favorites icon.

Follow the instructions below to point the bookmark to the permanent icon file.

    Step 2: Customize icons

    a. open Internet Explorer.

    b. click the Favorites icon.

    c. right-click on the favorite that you want to change icon.

    d. Select Properties.

    e. under the web document tab, click Change icon.

    f. click Browse to navigate to the location where the folder is stored. IE C:\Favorites icon.

  • wallpaper keeps disappearing in XP

My wallpaper continues to disappear after reboot. He's going to stick around for several times, then disappear. The background color is not affected, and neither are the icons and the taskbar. It's just the image that keeps disappearing.

What is happening with my own photos and the value default ones (all the bmp). I tried to move one of my own pictures (bmp) into the wallpaper folder (C:/Windows) and selecting it from there, but the same thing happens.

The computer is not on a network, and no other user accounts are defined on it.

The only difference is that I have a new monitor. But despite this, the wallpaper will stay for a few days through several resets, then someday it just... disappeared. When I open the display properties, the image is shown as being assigned and even appears in the Preview Panel. By clicking on it, then again restores it immediately on the desktop.

I use Win XP, SP3. Thank you.

I'm sorry to say I think you are a form of Malware running on your system, defeating the wallpaper.

I would go to MalwareBytes.org to try their dose.

    Help!

    Hi ad391970,

The reason for updates make changes on the computer would be some conflicting third-party programs or there might be a corruption in the Windows Update components.

I suggest that you try to install updates by disabling the third-party program conflict and check if it works.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Perform the check and the clean boot if you have the problem.

    1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    User account control permission

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

    2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

    3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

    4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

    5. click on OK.

    6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

    7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

If the problem is resolved to check what is the cause of the problem, referring to the link given below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

If the step above does not resolve the issue updates suggest that you try to reset the component of windows update and check if it works.

Check out the link below to find out how to reset the windows component update

How to reset the Windows Update components?

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

If the step above does not resolve the question suggests that you check in a new user account if you are faced with a similar question. If a face similar to a new user account which means your other user account has been corrupted.

See the link below for screw a corrupt user profile.

  • Why my cable network keep disappearing?

    My network keeps disappearing.

It works very well for several days, then suddenly it disconnects.

The network itself works fine and accessible with the help of other computers. The router is OK and works correctly.

On the Windows 7 computer, however, the network turns off without warning.

Run the troubleshooter network leads to "no connection is available. But Wired etherenet is available and functioning OK. There is no problem if I remove the cable and plug it into another PC.

Something on the Windows 7 machine is clearly at fault - but what?

    Hello

I had already tried in safe mode and the problem persists.

I have, I think, discovered the issue.

Automatic update Windows 7 is activated and updated the driver for the network adapter to the latest version.

When I restore the old version, there is no problem.

There is clearly an error in the driver for the NIC - a card Realtek PCIe FF. The new driver is the problem - with the old driver, everything is OK.

  • Best sites to keep disappear once history of safari is disabled

I'm trying to put Hotmail and my work see connectivity service as my best sites, but every time I clear history in safari that they disappear. It is only on these two sites that make others seem to work well.

    Any advice? Cheers.

    Hi Aur0xx,

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support!

We understand that you are trying to add Hotmail and your workplace for your Safari Top Sites, but when you clear Safari history, these sites disappear.

The first article below explains that Top Sites that are not marked as permanent will be deleted if you clear the browsing history Safari.

Safari for Mac: delete your browsing history Safari

This article explains how to maintain a website in Top Sites.

Display your Top Sites - using Safari

    • Keep a site up to the Top Sites: Hold your pointer over the thumbnail of the Web site, and then click the PIN icon appears. To unlock the site Web for Web sites can be replaced, click the PIN icon again.

Once you have Hotmail and your workplace configured to appear constantly in the Top Sites, Safari history resetting shouldn't delete these sites.

  • My tabs keep disappearing.

My last update was 4/21. Since then, my tabs disappear from the view when I open several pages. If I move my cursor to the top of the page, they reappear. I wonder if it was part of the update? It temporarily allows you to display a little more of the page I visit, but if this is supposed to be an advantage... is NOT. I love being able to see it as the tabs I have open and without need to scroll to the top of the page every time. Please help me to correct or change it. Thank you.

Firefox may be full-screen mode. The F11 key toggles between normal display and full-screen.

He should not get stuck like that... If you find you need to keep switching off the display full screen, the file that contains the dimensions of the window may become corrupted. You can rename the file to fix this problem, but it may also affect what bars are displayed (for example, if you are using the classic menu bar, you may need to which restart). Here's how:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?
