Add column if the value in another column

How can I add a column as column name 'YES_OR_NO.

SELECT VALUE_ID IN THE TABLE TABLE_NAME

VALUE_ID
---
1
2
3
4
5

Now, I want to create another column in the sql query called YES_OR_NO and that if there is a value in VALUE_ID then column YES_OR_NO must say 'YES' if there is no value in the column VALUE_ID of this line YES_OR_NO must say 'NO '.

or just a way for her also to work would be to show this new column or not if a value in another column of table_name_2 (this would be ideal)
If new column yes_or_no and fill by a Yes or a no if a value is found in another table

Assuming that you are on a version that supports the CASE expression:

SELECT VALUE_ID
, case when VALUE_ID is null then 'NO' else 'YES' end as YES_NO
FROM TABLE_NAME

The task seems simple enough, but I have not found a way to populate an attribute transitional according to the value of another attribute when the line is queried. What is the best way to achieve this?

    Thank you.

Use VORowImpl, if you have any transient attributes defined in the view object, whose value is derived from other attributes of the line, you can override the GET method and add logic there

  • Deactivating a page element based on the value of another element on the page

    Hello
I have a page element I want to turn off if the value of another article (drop-down list item) is set to a specific value. I followed the example in the book 'Pro Oracle APEX"(p.320) in this regard. He ordered me to do this in the HTML form element attributes for the element section:
    OnChange = "htmldb_item_change (this); html_DisableOnValue (This, 'Closed', 'P3_PRIORITY', 'P3_ASSIGNED_TO'); »

It works very well. It disables the element I want to disable. HOWEVER, it does not neutralize the article unless the element with the onchange attribute is changed.

How can I add features to disable the second element, even if the first element does not change, but contains the value 'Closed' when the user of the first load of the page?

Thanks for your help and your insight!

    Hello Reid,

The easiest way would be to (also) a Condition only read the item that you want to disable.

I have a pdf form that I added to the text fields. My challenge is that of the financial section of the form, if the value of a specific field is empty or null, I blank block of signature financial review.  I've been trying to find a way to cover the area of signature with a white box or have a text box with signature block text appear or disappear depending on whether the value is zero or empty.

If seen many answers on how to make the field itself disappear based on value, but I did find something that causes another field or shape appear or disappear depending on the value of another field.

    Please try the following script,

    var signid = true;

    If (SignID) this.getField("signaturefield").display = display.visible;

  • Validation form column against the value of another Table

    Hello

I'm new to this forum, so please bear with me a bit!  I only have a small amount of writing PL/SQL experience, and I've never written Javascript or JQuery before.  I am an Oracle DBA and I coding experience C and PERL, so I have a strong technical background.  But I need some advice on the best way to approach a problem.

I have an application of data base in Oracle Apex (version 4.2) with a tabular form on a table: Let's say that #1 with the conditions of licence 1 a, 1 b, and1C.  I have to make sure that the value entered in col B is not greater than the value of a column in another table (for example table #2 pass 2 (a).  From a conceptual point of view, the amount of money available is in the #2 table, and my tabular form lines are an act of spending money (such as orders or invoices), so I have to make sure that we spend more that we have.  Who is?

Does anyone have tips for the best way to do it?  I'm figuring that the biggest problem here is perhaps to account for people who enter multiple lines in the form of tables at the same time, right?  So, if a person is entered 3/invoices, I need a total to ensure that they do not have spend more than we have in the #2 table.

    I really appreciate your help!

    Best regards

    Laurie Baublitz

Ah, I was not totally with you on this charge then. My validation works overall, but it totals the amount for each line, regardless of the task. Okay - who was not totally my solution but more a demonstration of the technique that you can use to validate your tabular presentation in this way.

You could solve this issue with a safe collection, or with a table plsql where you add an entry for each task name and keep the amount stored in there.

Anyway, it would be better for you to spend a little time on playback on the plsql collections or collections apex!

Remember, this is a sample and you will need to take stock of it. The best solutions are those where you need to experiment with 8)

  • How do rotate on a date and see the sum of the value of another column

    Hello

I searched through the forum and cannot find a query similar to my question feels so post this new thread.

First of all, it is probably useful indicating that I am using Oracle 10 g.

I have a table that is used to store the details of the booking (essentially a booking system) and I would use this data to display the details of the customers stay on one line.

The table has the following columns:
    BOOKING_ID
    CUSTOMER_ID
    DATE_OF_ARRIVAL
    NUMBER_OF_NIGHTS
    NUMBER_OF_PEOPLE
    Some example records could be:

    BOOKING_ID    CUSTOMER_ID     DATE_OF_ARRIVAL    NUMBER_OF_NIGHTS   NUMBER_OF_PEOPLE
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1                    201      13-JAN-2010        5                   1
    2                    202      13-JAN-2010        3                   2
    3                    202      13-JAN-2010        4                   1
    4                    203      15-JAN-2010        2                   3
On this basis I would like to display the output so that I can show a sum of the NUMBER_OF_PEOPLE reserved to per customer per day, as such:
    CUSTOMER_ID     13-JAN   14-JAN   15-JAN   16-JAN   17-JAN   18-JAN   19-JAN
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    201                   1       1        1        1        1        0        0
    202                   3       3        3        1        0        0        0
    203                   0       0        3        3        0        0        0
I watched analytical functions in the documentation and several books of Oracle that I have, but have so far struggled to find how to make the performance desired. Even using the excellent response to the previous post on the forum, I got Re: how to count the occurrence of a date in a range I was not able to get a feasible request.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Hello

    macmanxie wrote:
... The suggested approach goes only to return a number if the DATE_OF_ARRIVAL corresponds to the date in the CASE statement, however I have the added complexity of wanting to show a count of all the days that the customer is booked, for, by making use of the NUMBER_OF_NIGHTS. I tried to use some of the examples provided on morganslibrary.org, for example:

sum( CASE WHEN TRUNC (arrival_date) between '01/13/2011' and TRUNC (arrival_date+no_of_nights) THEN nvl(no_of_people,0) ELSE 0 END) AS jan_13

but this does not produce the desired result.

You check if arrival_date is between January 13 and arrival_date + no_of_nights (as if the arrival date could all be posterior to the arrival_date + no_of_nights).
Are not really interested in whether or not January 13 ib between arrival_date and arrival_date + no_of_nights?

    NVL ( SUM ( CASE
                    WHEN TO_DATE ( '01/13/2011'
                           , 'MM/DD/YYYY'
                         ) BETWEEN TRUNC (arrival_date)
                             AND TRUNC (arrival_date) + no_of_nights
                 THEN no_of_people
             END
           )
        , 0
        ) AS jan_13

Always format your code. It is important to format your code if you are the only who who will ever read but it is even more important if you are posting on a forum like this and ask other people to read.
Not to compare the DATEs in the strings; explicitly use a conversion function, like TO_DATE, above, where necessary.
    Both
    SUM (NVL (x, 0)) and
NVL (SUM (x), 0) get the same results, but the latter is more effective. If you have 1000 lines, the first way is calling NVL 1000 times, but the second way is calling only once.

    If your previous thread
Re: How to count the occurrence of a date in a range
Gets you the right data, but it has one row for each distinct combination of customer_id and date, then you can switch it to a form that contains a line by the customer and another column for each date.

If you need help, post CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for some examples of data and outcomes from these data. The post you are trying better to a request, including a subquery that gets no cross-the raw table dynamic results.
There will be a fixed number of columns in the output swing? If this is not the case, how do you deal with that? Which of these options in the thread I posted above)
Re: County report and the sum of the number of rows by multiple columns

  • Filter a column with the value of another

Hello. Hope someone can help with this... On my search page, I want to use the value of the first list/drop-down menu to filter the values of the second list/menu. I use PHP and DW 8.0.2.

Example: The first column has each of the 50 States. second column has 3 000 counties. If a user selects New Jersey, I want to just 21 NJ counties to appear as options in the second menu downwards rather than 3 000 counties.

First Recordset works very well for the States. But in my second recordset, I say 'select distinct County of the said County WHERE AS var1'... and var1 is $recordset1 [County]. But the 2 column is empty. How can I actively pass the value of the first column in the second while the user is still on the same page?

    Sandman

    >>
Assuming that your table has a field named "State":
«select County of States WHERE state = "var1""
    >>

You can use this solution when the first menu page 1 and the second menu on page 2 (IE passing the value of a query on page 2), but as assumingly, you need to have this functionality within a single page, basic need based on a javascript solution 'drop-down menus of dynamic load' to load the menu2 - options "in situs.

There is an extension for Dreamweaver stand alone for this on the site of Tecnorama , that also wants to work without the relationships between the tables, in other words, with the data in a table, which matches your scenario.

  • Getting the value of a column based on the value of another column in a max group

Please let me know if there is a simple way to do it.  I came up with a way, but it is terribly inefficient and it must work quickly.

    GROUP_ID NO_REGISTRE READ_VALUE QUARTERLY

    ---------- ----------- ---------- -----------------------------

    2 1 0.035 00:00:00.000000000 01/01/2015

    2 0.035

    3 1 1.11 14:50:32.943000000 14/07/2015

    3 2 222 01/01/0001 13:36:47.017436000

    3 223.11

So what I need is for all no_registre is NULL, I need the value of QUARTERLY for the QUARTERLY to the MAX (READ_VALUE) for this GROUP_ID (not counting the rows where the no_registre is NULL).  So the result would look like this:

    GROUP_ID NO_REGISTRE READ_VALUE QUARTERLY

    ---------- ----------- ---------- -----------------------------

    2 1 0.035 00:00:00.000000000 01/01/2015

    2 0.035 00:00:00.000000000 01/01/2015

    3 1 1.11 14:50:32.943000000 14/07/2015

    3 2 222 01/01/0001 13:36:47.017436000

    3 223.11 13:36:47.017436000 01/01/01

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Or maybe:

    -production of the sample data:

    WITH t (GROUP_ID, no_registre, READ_VALUE, QUARTERLY)

    UNION ALL SELECT 3, 1, 1.11, TIMESTAMP ' 2015-07-14 14:50:32 ' FROM DUAL

UNION 3 SELECT ALL, NULL, 223.11, NULL FROM DUAL

    --

    -actual query:

No, you the code you show here is not the right way to do it!
You did a simple copy & past errors telling me that you don't understand what you copy everything.

    valueChangeListener="#{pageFlowScope.InternalUserBean.valueChanged}">

does not point to the valueChangeListener in the bena as this one is called "changeUserListener"!
A simple code debugging session would have shown this.

  • Derivative of a cell based on the value of another cell's true/false

    Hello

I try to create a list of digital control and would have put cells highlight according to a corresponding value in another cell.

For example, I would like cell D2 to white if the cell H2 is FALSE, or if the values of H2 is TRUE, I would D2 to be green. I want this for about 20 lines.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi JCR.

Conditional highlighting rules depend on comparing the value contained in the cell to be highlighted (D2) with a second value. The second value may be fixed (recorded in the rule) or may be contained in a cell of the second.

In your scenario, the highlight would be independent of the value in D2.

There are two ways to accomplish what you want using conditional highlighting, highlighting a third cell whose value depends on the value in H2 and whose pointing out will be seen as highlighting of the D2, OR by providing a third cell whose value can match or does not match the value in D2 , the value of H2.

Since you want to highlight only a single cell, and not a group of cells, the second method is probably more simple here.

Each cell in the column I contains the following formula, entered in I2, and filled then down on the rest of the column:

    I2: = IF (H, D, "xxx")

English: If the cell in this row of column H is set to TRUE (enabled), copy the value in this row of column D to this cell. If not, put "xxx" in this cell.

'xxx' can be any value that will be ever present in the cells in column D.

The below table conditional formatting rule is placed in cells D2 - D10. The cell reference is to the cell "this rank" in column I and is different for each cell.

    Kind regards

    Barry

  • XMLTYPE Datatype - extracted value of an element based on the value in another element

    Hi all

I have a typical XML problem in which I am trying to extract the value of a property on the base of another.

Here is an example of XML data:-

    < object type = "InstanceObject:instanceKeyValue" version = "2" >

    < property name = 'name' value = 'COUNTRY' valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = "keyValueType" value = "VARCHAR" valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = "keyValue" value = "SINGAPORE" valueType = "string" / >

    < / object >

    < object type = "InstanceObject:instanceKeyValue" version = "2" >

    < property name = "name" value = "DATA_SET" valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = "keyValueType" value = "VARCHAR" valueType = "string" / >

    < property name = value 'keyValue' = 'April 9, 2014' valueType = "string" / >

    < / object >

    My requirement is-

If value = 'COUNTRY' under/object/property then I need the property value where @name = "keyValue" that is Singapore.

    But when I do

    SELECT EXTRACT('object/property[@name="instanceKeyValues"]/object/property[@name="keyValue"]/@value')

I get the two keyValues SINGAPORE09-APR-2014

    While I only need Singapore.

No idea how we can solve this?

Sorry, I'm a jerk, so finally I just with this

    with t as)
    Select xmltype)
    '

    '
    ) x
    of the double
    )

    Select
    Val
    t
    xmltable)
    "for $o in/root/object.
    ["Let $p: = $o/property[@name="keyValue "]
    ["where $o/property[@name="name"][@value="COUNTRY "]
    Return $p'- or return $p/@value'
    go x
    columns
    path of varchar2 (40) Val '@value' - or '.'
    )

    VAL
    Singapore
    India
