Add crop and bleed to pdf files
I have 2 pdf files that I was invited to add crop marks and bleed to by our external printer. Please let me know how to do this with Acrobat Professional XI.
Thanks for the help!
Ken K.
Hi Ken,
You'll need Acrobat Pro to add the marks and bleeds. Here's how: using Acrobat | Advanced print PDF settings
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Can I add a link in a pdf file to open another pdf file?
Is it possible to add a link to a pdf file that will open another pdf file? I have an after-school registration form and I want to be able to have people to click on a course and it opens a PDF with the description of this course?
Thank you very much for your help
Of course, but you must then send the two files together to recipients.
A better way would be to set the second file to the first and then create a link to it.
That way you would just distribute a single file and know with certainty that the link worked.

HP Officejet Pro 8610e: cannot print documents I scanned and saved as pdf files
All of a sudden I cannot print I scanned and saved as pdf files. I get a message indicating that the printer is "Impossible to convert the PostScript file. Don't know how to handle, but I have to be able to print the docs I'm scanning and saving in pdf format. Can someone help me?
Thank you

Hi @GTR3,
Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.
I see that you are unable to print the PDF scanned documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.
You are able to print any other format PDF on the Mac, or the question is just limited to your scanned PDF files? Whether the soft friendly PDF work with - Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader?
In the meantime, I recommend you try the following steps:
- Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
- Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
- Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
- Finally, click here to reinstall your printer.
Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.
Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

I can no longer open and read a PDF file
I can no longer open and read a pdf file, yet all the configurations appear to be correct, I uninstalled and reinstalled and still the problem remains. Can someone please help?
What PDF reader do you use? If it's Adobe, I suggest you remove it and install Foxit.Foxit Reader
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/Secure_PDF_Reader/If you still have problems, create a file association.1. download and save the attachment to the office, if not already.
2. right click on the saved file.
3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
4. click on: choose [default] program.
5. Select: Foxit Reader.
6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
7. click on OK.It works for you? -
I export to PDF, but can't seem to download and open the PDF files. I need to download something?
Hi Lisa,
To download PDF files, you have nothing else except a web browser.
However, to open the pdf file that is downloaded, you certainly need to download Acrobat Reader: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC DistributionKind regards
Rahul

Acrobat Reader DC works fine and opens a PDF file without problem - until I have a word document open as well-, then the PDF file crashes. I can't open a PDF file, a word document is also open.
For troubleshooting, you can disable the Protected Mode (https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783) and see if that solves the problem. If the problem persists, please re-enable the Protected Mode to improve safety.
Let us know how it goes.

MS Surface RT Tablet and printing of PDF files
I am interested in buying a tablet of Windows 8 Surface RT realizing that no 3rd party applications can be installed. I regularly use the printer of the pdf file of my current system and wonder if this tablet Windows 8 Surface RT has a pdf printer (virtual printer) file that is pre-installed with Ms Office and home 2013 RT?

CS6 - create an index and import a pdf file
How to create an index for a book, and import a PDF in InDesign CS6. The CS6 InDesign is only allow imports of XML documents not PDFs. Is there a work around for this? And I'm not... to create an index - find the tab from the drop down "subjects."
Thank you in advance for your help!
As mentioned earlier, you asked 2 different questions. I hope that this answer allows you to satisfy you with both of them.
Creating an index:
The sample file is an extraordinary, but the creation of an index is well explained. InDesign cs6 indexing - tutorial on how to create an Index for your book! - YouTube
Import a PDF file:
As I said before, you import PDF images files. You can use the same path than with images: drag and drop,
D, file-> Place Please pay attention to the 'options import' as you can choose between different "cultures": Bounding Box, Art, Trim, bleed, media.
For a multiple page PDF, you can choose the page or page range. Etc.
Nicolas said the "PlaceMultipagePdf" script that you will find in the window-> Utilities-> scripts Panel. Get off at samples-> JavaScript
This script updates the Pdf pages on a new page. Try, if you are tempted to import a multi-page PDF document.
As I said before, you can also import other InDesign files. These editable resident files, i.e. you can open and change what must be changed and the imported file will be updated like any other document bound, as Illustrator documents for example...
Since these files are regarded as "graphics" (equivalent to Illustrator data files), they can't be changed inside InDesign.

I'm creating a simple manual and I wanted to know if I can have an image slider in a PDF file without the need to have one image per page. The cursor will be clickable and whenever the user clicks on the previous or next image will change.
Second, you can add captions to the images? Rather than having lengthy descriptions, I wanted to know if you can add captions to the PDF format.
Finally, how can center you an image in a PDF document?
Thank you
I have a PC, Windows 7, Acrobat Pro XI
-A slider effect can be added using layers or button form fields that contain images and then use the button to show/hide these items when you click it.
You will not get the fancy transition effects you have on the web pages, but it will display a picture after another
-What kind of legends? Just the text that appears beside them? It's something you should do in the authoring application, before converting the file to PDF.
-Ditto regarding a picture of centering.

How to add comments and review the .psd files in Acrobat colleagues?
I work in Photoshop, would like to be able to collaborate with the wizards and online customers - as, I believe, Adobe Live used to do...

Hi Bonus Studio,
If you want people to comment on your files in Acrobat, you must first save your .psd as PDF files. Then, your support and your customers can open PDF files in Adobe Reader or Acrobat and use the annotation tools to add their comments.
