  I am writing a series of Actions and want to integrate Silver Efex Pro in Action.

  I'm have not used Silver Efex pro, but understand now you're working with B & W images are weakening in LR. What you are likely to see is not a tint or color difference, but a "lighter" image It appears as less color saturation, since the image is monotonous.

  As Gene McCullagh mentioned this is due to the differences in library modules and develop an overview of rendering the preview to view fewer images of 1:1. If a high ISO image is sharper and has asked insufficient Luminance Noise reduction may seem brighter and less strong in the library less than 1:1 view module (i.e. Fit). • Silver efex pro 2 is no longer export option in lightroom 4

  I have the collection of NIK software (silver efex pro, etc.), properly downloaded on osx 10.8.4.  the last time I used lightroom 4 to export images, silver efex pro 2 is an option.  I did it with success several times, but now silver efex pro 2 is no longer an option in lightroom.  I would like to know how to get it back.  Thank you!

• PS CC: Impossible to save an action with filter Color Efex Pro 4

  I know not how to record actions, but I can not record an action using Color Efex Pro 4. When I try to record the action remains empty. What I am doing wrong?

  For anyone interested: to save a Color Efex action, you must select Color Efex in the menu Filter and NOT in the Google Panel in Photoshop (the one with Dfine, HDR Efex, Viveza, Color Efex etc.). Very strange, but that's all.

• Ive just purchased lightroom 5. In LRM in Photo 4, change in, I've been using NIK software color efex, silver efex, DFine, viveza, etc.. When I go to the menu "edit in", I see only one option for silver efex, not the rest of the NIK software

  You need to reinstall your Nik Plugins.

• Nik Efex Pro 4 very slow LR 3.5 and 3.6

  My computer is a 27 "iMac 2.93 GHz i7 with 16 GB of DRAM running OS X Lion (10.7.2).

  Versions of the software used for the test: opening 3.2.2 Lightroom 3.5 x 64, Lightroom 3.6 x 64, Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 x 64, Color Efex Pro 4.001 x 64.

  I think Nik Color Efex Pro 4 is very slow when "Edit In" from Lightroom is used to access the plug-in or stand-alone application.  This is a technical question, which I presented in support of the Nik.  I have not heard of them yet, but I thought it would be a good idea to post here.  Maybe someone has the same problem and knows a solution...

  Image used in the tests is an of a Digital Rebel XT 8-megapixel image.  The image was taken in 2006.

  If I select "Edit In" in Lightroom, choose Color Efex Pro 4, wait the preview display, and then select the fog filter it takes 2 minutes and 39 seconds on the 'calculation' go away and the image to be presented.

  If I select "Edit In" and chose Color Efex Pro 4 app delay is similar, that is a VERY long time.

  In no time my free RAM dropped below 10 GB.  In no time my CPU usage will more than 20%.

  If I select "Edit In" and chose Photoshop CS5 and then use the plugin CS5 it takes less than 3 seconds for the calculation to go away.

  If I use the Color Efex Pro plug-in in 4 aperture, version 3.2.2 times are similar to those in Photoshop CS5, which is very fast.

  The time interval is too short to get an accurate measure of memory and CPU usage in CS5 and opening

  What is causing this discrepancy?  This excessive delay - which exists when a filter is adjusted, changed, etc. a lot of essentially useless from Lightroom filters.

  Nik worked on that problem?  You have a solution?  If this isn't the case, I expect a resolution in the near future?  Surely, this has been reported before.

  I received an email of Nik response.  They acknowledged that this problem has been known "a small amount of time in the past" and went on to say that maybe it's duplicate fonts.

  I replied that I have not all fonts in duplicate so that isn't the problem. Now waiting on their reply.

  Nik reacted very quickly.  They completely admitted that this problem has been reported several times recently and their development team is "working on it".

  As well as many suggestions - which has indicated that with the exception of paragraph first, it's a boilerplate answer - should be making sure that your video card is up-to-date and supported.

  Their first paragraph suggests forcing the CEfex Pro 4.0 app to run in 32-bit mode.  It worked - the slow descent of the Efex app running LR has disappeared - at least on my system.

• Features of Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac issues?

  Greetings! After 35 years in the Windows environment, I became the proud owner of a MacBook air last night and I want to install Adobe Acrobat Pro for Mac on it. I would like to know if the features and functionality of the Mac version are the same as those on the Adobe Acrobat Standard I used in my Windows environment for many years.

  The Windows version gives me everything I need, especially the ability to add text as annotations of documents that have been scanned and sent in PDF format, fill out forms, create forms, etc..

  Also, can someone help me with the differences between the version of the subscription and the total of the purchase? The subscription version has problems, it is just as functional as the full version to buy?

  Pretty much, except for the lack of an Adobe PDF printer.  No LiveCycle Designer.

• NIK HDR Efex Pro 2 with Photoshop CC anomaly

  Whenever I use HDR Efex Pro 2 to create a HDR when I get back to Photoshop CC the Preview size/hardness of the brush is missing.

  To re-create the error, run Photoshop CC, open the 5 files to create an HDR.  Select one of the files, while pressing control and Option click and drag on the image.  Note that the outline of the brush displays also a model, default value is red, with the outline of the brush.

  Run the HDR Efex of CC in Photoshop, create the HDR, select tile of the entire landscape of presets.  Back to Photoshop CC. Select a brush and pressing control and Option click and drag on the image.  Note that shows the outline of the brush, but the brush model is presented is no longer.

  The only way I've found to restore the template is to delete presets Photoshop CC or a good preset on one defective copy.

  Anyone has an idea on how to fix this without copying a file?  I already reported it to Google, but have not yet received a response from them.

  We do not control the API - but the code of the plugin runs in our process.

  Plugins are not other applications, they are DLLs with reminders in Photoshop, sharing space with Photoshop.

  If we cannot witn against their bugs with the current plugin architecture.

  If you didn't mind working two orders of magnitude slower with no plugins do not access to as many features of Photoshop, we could put plugins in another process.   Then, of course there are things that we can do - just nothing reasonable, or that visitors and developers would be conditioned with.
