  • Why don't security browser Avira displayed when I search modules in the Add-ons Manager page?

Why don't security browser Avira displayed when I search modules in the Add-ons Manager page?

If I search in google, it appears in the list of results, and it displays a add to Firefox"" button.

However when I click on the "Add to Firefox" button, I get a message "Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer" with the button authorize. Why is this and is - it safe to click the allow to install this extension?

Hi Roberto2525, through the Manager of addons you will only find extensions that their developer chooses to host with mozilla / addons.mozilla.org, addons not they want to distribute themselves.

the warning message you are seeing is normal and is displayed before the installation of each addon. as the firefox addons are always free to do almost everything that is possible, you must install the addons which authors you trust (extensions hosted on addons.mozilla.org are carefully controlled until they are published).

from 41 firefox, firefox will require that hosted also outwardly need addons must be signed by mozilla, after what they've been through a few basic checks. so, if you install the extension avira and it says something like "could not be verified for use in firefox," then if please contact avira as well and ask them to get their signed addon: signature of the add-on in Firefox

  • How to remove the old plugins in the add-on Manager

That is my question. Add-ons Manager shows all of those I want to delete as persons with disabilities. The existing responses do not work because when I get home the Manager of the page the word "delete" is not there. (see attachment)

Plugins are part of third party software that you have installed on your computer. To uninstall the plugin, you need to remove the application that has installed the plugin in the first place.
This is not always desired. So I'd keep just those unwanted plugins disabled. They won't hurt.
There are ways to fix the Windows registry so that these plugins are no longer visible for Firefox and therefore will not be displayed in the Add-ons Manager. But unless you know exactly what you are doing, you should not start playing with it.

  • Why the add-on Manager creates a new tab whenever I go to the home page?

When I run Firefox my homepage tab appears with a tab of the Add-ons Manager and a plus sign for the new tab. Whenever I go on a website and then back to my homepage comes ANOTHER tab Add-ons Manager. This apparently will last forever. I got 20 tabs Manager modules showing. The only way to eliminate them is to stop Firefox and restart. Then it starts again. What is the cause?

I use the latest version of Firefox and 8.1 of Windows on a Dell Inspiron with 8 GB of memory and a hard drive of 1 t.

    Help, please.

You can have the Addons tab set as one of your landing pages.

Try to set your homepage again.

  • Add - ons Manager pages appear as "text only"; Cannot download add-ons.

Just installed Firefox v28 on new computer running Windows 7 Home. Installation went well and my browsing experience was as expected. Then I open the Add-ons Manager to install the same extensions that I used on the old machine, but something is wrong.

The pages appear in a 'text only' weird format... scroll down and down... and down (screenshots). Navigation has been frustrating because all the following pages have been in the same weird format.

Then I went to the box 'search all add-ons' top right of the screen and registered the names of the extensions that I wanted. The search results page was text only but easier to navigate. However, no matter what extension I have
selected for install failed during download (screenshot).

What I've tried so far: deleted all the history, cookies, cache, etc, closed Firefox, then rebooted the machine. But the problem persists.

UPDATE: the problem resolved itself on its own. I left the machine in pure frustration. Returned two days later, and everything has worked well. Have a little problem with the site.

  • I have install an add-on for Firefox, but it does not appear in my list of Add-ons Manager, and after I restarted Firefox, it went.

I try to install 1-Click Youtube Video dDownloader, which is supposed to add a download button to Yuotube video pages. I go here:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/1-click-YouTube-video-download/

and I click 'add to Firefox '. It gives me the window "install now". I click on 'Install now' and it is said that Firefox has to restart and it will be installed when Firefox opens again. If I click "Restart now" and restart Firefox. Then I go on Youtube, but no button. I check the page of the Add-ons Manager, and I see that it is installed in the extensions. So, if I go to the page and click 'Add to Firefox' once again and restart once again, go to Youtube, the download button IS there, and it works perfectly. But if I exit and restart Firefox, the download button is once again absent, but the extension is always installed. Why this extension works only when I restart twice, and then it disappears again?

When the button does not appear, but the extension is marked as active, try to reload the page to Youtube without using the cache by pressing command + shift + r to see if that triggers the extension to insert the button.

If it remains inconsistent, I would like to ask the developer to Add on to their Contact page: http://www.clickvideodownload.com/contact.php

  • Why nothing appears when I select "extensions" in the Add-ons Manager?

Somehow, an extension/app called Coupon Saver (which I never did and which is really annoying) has been installed. I've uninstalled it on my laptop, but it must also be removed from FireFox. However, whenever I'm in the 'Extensions' Panel in the Add-ons Manager, nothing comes at all. It shows all the tabs on the right with "Extensions" highlighted, but beside that is nothing else than a blue screen. Why is this and how can I fix this so I can removed the form for adding offending my browser? Thank you for your time.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in ' Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the side of the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.

If this did not help, then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

  • Add ons manager crashes after doing a Windows 7 system restore.

Firefox has been restored from 23 Version to Version 20. Now, none of my Extensions or PlugIns appears and when I click on "Get Add-ons" I just get a "loading" and it crashes. I tried to delete the files extension.ini and extensions.sqlite and restart Firefox, but that has not worked. It seems that the add ons and extensions are there, but just not accessible through add on Manager.

You would not lose personal data as extensions installed as long as you would not choose to delete personal data wouldn't you uninstall Firefox.

You should always be careful with the system restore feature because Windows does not show you what files are restored.

It is highly likely that some .ini. and the .js files in the Firefox profile folder have been returned to older versions.

Have what kind of problems you had with Firefox 23?

  • Why Firefox keep loading with the Add-ons Manager each time? I disabled all extensions and themes with nothing will do, loaded in safe mode, etc.

As noted, google it and saw that it is supposed to work if you disable extensions to see if you have a problem (he was not) and use the default theme, it is supposed to make them disappear. Even ran in 'safe mode '. Yet, EACH TIME it loads the add-on Manager. Should I re - download?

Do NOT reinstall Firefox. Think it fixes the problems, but it isn't really.
