Need help with a warranty issue, but can't take the computer back to the shop
I have the following problem:
I'm a backpacker and bought a Toshiba A660/15j someone in Adelaide. I have the original receipt and the laptop is still under warranty.
Now 2 issues have been raised. First of all, I sometimes get a message that my system runs too hot and that I should stop the computer immediately and return to the service. When I open the monitor health all values are good and the system does not display any overheating (nor does it feel too hot). The second thing is that about two weeks ago, the battery started to empty real quick. When I now fully recharge the battery and do not touch the computer for 2 days, it will be completely empty. It is surely not normal!
The laptop was bought initially in Queensland, but I am now in Perth and have no way to go back and return to the store like it what I have to do according to the directives of service Toshiba.
What can I do?

There may be a build-up of dust in the radiator. You can buy a can of compressed Air from electronic stores (DickSmith and Jaycar for example) to blow dust through the vents.
What about the battery drain, update the BIOS to the latest version (take a look at mytoshiba.com.au-> Support-> downloads), then go into BIOS by pressing F2 during POST and disable the USB Sleep and fresh.
If you still have problems with it, you can send the laptop to a Toshiba repair center. There is a list ASP on mytoshiba.com.au

Reinstalling Windows XP to the factory setting would not be the first option.
It is possible that some third-party programs or the services installed on the computer interfere with the installation of service pack 3.
I suggest that you try to uninstall service pack 3 from the computer by using the recovery console and subsequently ask the article below for what to do before installing the service pack 3on the computer.

Need help with my video! Rhapsody can't find my Clip.
I tried to reinstall the Rhapsody software and formatting my Clip and those which do not solve my problem. I plug my video on usb and I find the clip in 'my computer '. I opened Rhapsody with the Clip into the usb port, and the Clip does not appear in sources more. The Clip used to work 100% good, but no more. I cancelled the forceps to try to resolve the problem. So the real problem is that I cancelled the clamp to fix the problem and now I can not find out how to get the Clip appears again in Rhapsody. Under 'my account' Rhapsody says "no authorized device. A few simple steps should get your device to communicate in MTP mode again. It is the most common source of problems with Rhapsody.
First of all, verify that Rhapsody is running correctly. Open the 4 Rhapsody client and login. Select a piece of music in the music guide and see if it reads normally.
Connect the clamp and take a look at the sources of pand in the upper left corner. How the Clip appears?
If it lists as E: SANSA CLIP all in capital letters, with a drive letter, the device is in MSC mode and cannot accept Rhapsody subscription titles. It can accept purchased securities, that they contain no DRM as MP3 files. Unplug the unit and switch to MTP mode manually:
Settings > USB Mode > MTP.
If the device appears as a Sansa Clip 4 GB for example, with caps and smalls, without a drive letter, Windows recognizes the device as a media device.
If Rhapsody sees the devivce as shown above, try to right click on the device and select allow. Transfers should be possible.
If it does not appear as a MTP device, leave the connected device (after manually select MTP mode) and go to the Device Manager. [Windows key] + [pause button], then Hardware tab > Device Manager.
Look for the yellow triangle. The Clip appears in the portable device, or Bus USB controllers tree. Select Uninstall (not turn off!), unplug, restart the computer and after it restarts, try to connect again from the PSG.

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.
If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:
Try these options:
The main Messages folder and select today's date, click on the menu button and then select Mark prior opened.
* Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
* Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
* Connect to Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced. On the right pane is the list of the data on your device. Scroll to the e-mail highlighted messages database, and then below, select TRANSPARENT. This will clear your system of all messages.

I have a form (test) I created in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.
I need help to create a custom JavaScript, so I can get the desired response.
1) there are several questions in each group requiring a numeric response between 0-4
2) there is a total set up field to calculate the sum of the responses of all of the above questions
(3) the final "score" takes the answer in step 2 above and divide by the total possible response
Any help to what Java Script I need to fill it would be greatly appreciated!

We have a HP G37035EA laptop with windows vista V6 s-pack 2 that we have had since nine for about 2-3 years.
All of a sudden he is will not let us go online. My mother I believe is an update of somesort - she doesn't remember, but it would have been one automated that pop up and since then it has not worked. When you try to go online, he said; Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage. It's IE V8.
The internet connection works without a doubt, we can make the HP updates, updates microsoft etc. and I plugged another laptop to our router which works perfectly, either with a cable or wireless, but this laptop is not less we surf the net so be it. We talked at length with Sky that host our broadband services and they have not been able to make it work.

Given the description of the malicious software on your laptop, I highly recommend a restore factory, preferably using your recovery disks. Two Trojan horses is known for download and install other malware and future versions of Trojan.Vundo may also install rootkits that will prove extremely difficult to remove - I believe strongly that there is still malicious software on your laptop, and I believe it is directly related to your problem to access Web sites, even if your internet connection seems fine.
Using your recovery disks to reinstall the operating system will all be first to format the hard drive - all - clear before reinstalling the operating system.
You will probably need to back up personal files before doing so, but make sure that they are carefully analyzed on a "PC Clean" before I be reloaded on your laptop - make sure that your laptop has all its security software installed before reloading the saved files.
