  You cannot add these metadata in PDF format. You can use the robots.txt file.

  Simply create the pdf file and add a link to it, as you would for any web page - include a link to download the software Acrobat reader as well.  I would avoid using a Word file, in which case the person may not have Word installed on their machine.

  Can you please tell us how these PDF files have been converted? If they have been converted by a third-party application, then they don't contain any internal file information which are necessary to ensure a clean conversion. Or, it is possible that the font used in the PDF file is not available for service ExportPDF. Please see Will Adobe ExportPDF convert text and shape... | Adobe community.

  You may want to try to disable OCR as described in this paper: How to disable the optical character recognition (O... |) Adobe Community (although not optimal if the PDF files started as scanned documents, because it is OCR that converts the image into editable text text).

  Or, you can try to convert via Acrobat. You can download a free trial version of http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

  I have a little trouble with that. I tried a couple different pdf to word converters, and they have just created a document word with images of the pages in the pdf file. I was told that it is possible to convert an editable DOC file. These are the converters I tried to use.

  Adobe Acrobat can convert PDF to word PDF files to doc format that is made of texts, not the images. If the pdf file is a scan (and it takes a good scan), the pdf must be OCRB, first.

  Go to the Edit menu (maybe the menu on a Mac Acrobat) - preferences - display of the Page and check "see the transparency grid."

• Some hyperlinks not listed is not in the generated Word doc

  When I generate a Word document, some of the hyperlinks appear, but not all.

  I looked the site of Peter Grainge under printed Documentation and questions, but can't find anything that matched my problem. I also looked here on the forum, but found nothing.

  I have the feeling that this is a problem with the style mapping because the links that are not displayed are those that appear in lists (ul and ol).

  In other words, if I put a link in a paragraph that is a paragraph < p > < / p > regular, it appears in the Word doc and the link itself works.

  If I put it in a paragraph < /li > < li >, the link does not cover; There is no blue underlining and if you mouse over what should be a hyperlink, the pointer does not change to a hand icon.

  Can someone provide suggestions?

  I use RoboHelp 9 and Word 2010.

  It's a nice piece of detective work. If the links go to the content that is not in your book of accounts payable so it's as expected. After all, you wouldn't go to a content that was no links.

• How to reduce the pdf

  Trying to create a CV pdf with vector art in it who reduce below the limit of 500 k of most work sites and that it is impossible.

  Maybe it's more a question of Illustrator or Acrobat forum, but since I created the identity card project, which seems a place likely.

  Try each ID parameter, and ReduceFileSize in Acrobat, the pdf file will not go below 659 k or so, even if the dedans.eps' total 4.5mgs.

  I created the .eps in Illustrator and them optimized to the best of my ability, but they have degraded. Maybe there is a way to optimize even more before placing them in the ID?

  I guess that's for display, so I put the transparency blend space RGB and use the smallest file size preset with sRGB as a Destination and flattened via PDF 1.3

  My company gets a lot of PDF documents that we enter because they do not come in via EDI.

  I wonder if anyone has found a good way to convert PDF documents such as invoices and purchase can be used in EDI orders (IE XML, X 12 TEU). Please do not say use one of the free converters, I tried them and they are not even close to what I need. Also save it as an XML options do no good either.

  I'm looking for a "smart" converter, who knows where the data is and can create a XML properly formatted to import in our ERP system. I know that this may be asking a lot, but I thought I'd see if anyone had useful advice or was aware of certain software or services out there for this.

  I am currently the research myself for my business... There are a few translations out there I found. Try these.

  P2E2 - they look good, but are primarily focused on the PDF to Excel conversion. I wasn't able to talk to anyone there.

  ChimpKey - they seem to have the presence more regarding the conversion of the invoices & purchase orders. They also do a lot of commercial invoices for brokers. They were quite reasonable for fees and there is no contract to sign.

  ConvProSys - they seemed very inexpensive, but I'm still waiting to find out if there is a minimum period of contract to be signed + installation costs.

  I could of course, put these images manually in Indesign and easily type text,

  and then add text to the pdf...

  You can use the typewriter tool, and then type your paragraph wherever you want, but it won't move the images from the road. It is the same for the tool text box. I think that you work for ID.
