Add Windows 7 to Windows 8.1

I have a desktop HP Pavilion 500-223w. It was to replace my HP Windows 7 Desktop, which is dead. I used this computer for Radio production work. Some of my software work not or even install on 8.1 but worked fine on Windows 7. I think replacing the 1 TB with a 2 drive to (since you can't install a 2nd drive) and make a score of 8.1 and the other 7. However I don't see the drivers for Windows 7. So I'll be screwed onto this idea? People of software that I use for my radio work have no plan to make a version of Windows 8. Ideas and suggestions welcome.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

You will need to DISABLE 'Secure Boot' and ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in page 'Configuration of the BIOS start-up secured' in the settings below, until you try to install Windows 7.

or

Also, as the hard disk can be partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or "UEFI - USB Flash drive" options in the boot menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive", "UEFI - USB Flash drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own disc of Windows 7 SP1. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (ENGINE OFF "Fast Boot" or the definition of "USB 3.0" to "AUTO" in the BIOS") as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

The specifications of your HP Pavilion 500-223w desktop and the desktop HP Pavilion 500-281 are almost identical, including the same Memphis-S motherboard. The property is new the HP 500-281 is a model that comes with Windows 7 64 bit is installed at the factory. Most of the Windows 7 drivers on the drivers of HP Pavilion 500-281 desktop PC page should work on your computer. If you have missing or unknown devices after installing the drivers, please post the "Hardware ID" Device Manager for devices as shown in the example below.

  • Cannot add Windows Vista PC to Windows 2008 domain. Error message: an attempt to resolve the DNS of a domain controller in the domain being joined has failed...

When you try to add a new computer Windows Vista (hqseven) to a Windows 2008 network, I get the following error message... "An attempt to resolve the DNS of a domain controller in the domain being joined has failed. Ensure that this client is set to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain. "Last year, I added two XP, a Windows 7 and another Vista box to the field.  I don't know why I can't add my new Windows Vista computer.

I am able to get on the internet with the Vista PC. I can RDP to the domain controller (hqserver64) or any client. (using the name of host or static IP)  I can also do a ping of the domain controller (DC) or any another computer on my network using the host name.

After initial search for information, I found the following error message when you do a nslookup from my new vista box.

    Nslookup mydomainname
    Server: hqserver64.mydomainname.net

    Address: 192.168.0.99

hqserver64.mydomainname.NET cannot find mydomainname: Server failed.

I do not understand why I suddenly get these error messages when I was able to reach this area in the past.

    Tomasz Hello,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

The thing that you are trying to run is technically not possible, and I'm sorry to inform you that, you can do that. Technically, you have two installs and need 2 licenses. Each hard disk and each partition on a hard drive are considered to be a separate computer.

    1 OVERVIEW.
    a. software. The software includes operating system software. This software does not work
include Windows Live services. Windows Live is a service offered by Microsoft under a
    separate agreement.
    b. license model. The software is licensed on a basic computer copy. A computer is a
physical hardware system with internal storage capable of running the software. A
hardware partition or blade is considered be a separate computer.

    2. INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS.
    a. one copy per computer. You can install one copy of the software on a single computer. That
    computer is "licensed computer.

  • Windows need to install files to add windows to new Mac.

Fan of my Pavilion dv6-2173 quit like the portable unit. There is no way to restart it without replacing the fan that I was going to do, so I bought a new MacBook Pro. The hard drive on the HP was fine, so I removed and got an envelope to make it an auxiliary hard drive. And I want to capture all my data files. Unfortunately, I can't find them. The drive reads very well and all subdirectories arcane of Windows appear, but I can't find the library or my personal data. I talked to Apple and they said that I probably need to use Boot Camp, capture a Windows 7 or 8 ISO file and a Windows OEM Installer (it's HP). I run into a few roadblocks, trying to put all these things together. Boot Camp was easy because it is already preloaded in the MAC, but I'm having trouble finding an ISO of Windows on the Microsoft Web site and can't find a WIndows 7 / 8 installer from the HP site.  Then... of ideas?

I was able to capture the data using the laptop of my grandson and move it across to another remote drive with FAT32 format. But it took five hours. His computer wouldn't let me access the data until I gave her administrative ok for each of the major directories. He has then spent hours clicking on each file before displaying the contents of the directory. It was taking so long with the green bar and drive hard madly flashing I thought it hung. On the advice of my wife, I contacted a House local tech. A very nice boy said that the process takes a long time and the flashing green bar means it is working properly. So, I took the laptop to my basement store where I could keep an eye on it while working on my model railroad. In three hours the files appeared and I was able to start the transfer of the directories. The root directory of my image was 39 000 images. Yet once, this forum has been the one who has the right answer.

  • buy the new computer with windows 8 - How to turn off and add Windows Vista

My new computer came loaded with Windows 8.  (no previous program it)  I HATE Windows 8.  Can I get Windows Vista from my laptop and move it to this computer?

    Hello

If Vista is preinstalled on your laptop (HP, Acer, etc.) it is an OEM license and is linked to your laptop and is not transferable.

If you have purchased a retail License vista yourself you can transfer as long as uninstall you Vista on your laptop.

If you do not have a license make detail view you that your new computer manufacturer supply Vista drivers for this otherwise that you're wasting your time trying to boot Vista on it.

    See you soon.

  • I have windows vista on this computer and I want to remove it and add windows xp.

I have Windows Vista on this computer and I want to remove it and replace it with Windows XP Professional.  Whenever I tried to do, I succumbed. I tried to just boot from the cd and install xp and it tells me that the version on the computer is newer than the one I am trying to install and then gives me no option besides. I left and I restarted in safe mode and the command propt tried to fdisk and he said no authorized for this.  When I try to format it is said that volume id and I don't know who.  I've never been so lost trying to remove a platform in my life.  I would like to have an answer to this problem, thanks and have a blessed day, Robin

    Hi Robin,

    ·         What is the type of disc you are having? It's a drive to upgrade or full version?

    ·         How many partitions are present on the computer?

    ·         Why would you downgrade from Windows Vista to Windows XP?

You need demarrer start from the installation disc, choose the partition where Windows is installed (ideally the C drive). Format it and then go to the Windows XP installation.
