  • IPCC Express as a domain member server.

    IPCCX 3.5.3

    ICD Standalone install.

Is this ok (supported by TAC) to install the CRS as a member server. If so, is it OK to change to a task force to the area after installation of CRS? What are the implications etc?

I only think about this to make it easier to map drive network required by CAD (some tips on this operation when the IPCC is a working group?).

    See you soon,.

    NJ.

    Hello

The CRS is possible as a member of a domain after installation. It has been tested as such.

Note: do not apply any domain policies on CRS Server.

If security policies are pushed to the

Server, then these policies can have a negative impact on whether Yes or no services settings "start as" will be successful or not. There are many factors that can influence it, and thus, security policies should be avoided for the CRS

Server. Please keep in mind that if a policy is driven to a machine that translates a local change (eg. Register...) simply remove the domain can

"undo" a policy already pushed. In this case

that a complete rebuild and restore may be necessary if you can not find and undo the

    change.

  • Can I run a Windows 2003 on VMWare Server with a date system different from that of my current operating system?

    Hi guys,.

I would like to know if I can install Windows 2003 server using VMWare and run it with a date different system than my current operating system? Is this possible? A quick response would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Akshay

So I guess you are trying to run a virtual of Windows machine running at a date other than the ESX host and the rest of your network. Am I wrong?

    In this case:

-Do not use VMware time. If you have installed VMware tools open properties of VMware tools on the Options, tab uncheck the option of time synchronization

-From the services control panel access services 'Windows Time' and set it to disabled and do not forget to stop the service. The service name is W32Time, but its full name is 'Windows Time'

  • Impossible to P2V Windows 2003 x 64 server - an error occurred while opening a virtual disk

    Hello.

I have a physical Windows Server 2003 x 64 R2 Standard and try to convert it to vSphere with vCenter Converter Standalone 5.5.0 VM 5.5.

When I start the task, VM is created on vSphere, but after a few seconds machine is removed and task collapsed with messages: "year error occurred opening a virtual disk." "Make sure the server Converter and source computer have a network access to hosts esx/esxi source and destination.

There are no problems with access to the network, I check.

I tried many things (disable SSL on the server Converter, converter running directly on the source machine, see providers vss on source...) but without success.

    Any idea is welcome.

    Thank you.

    Ante

Please check if Windows Server is able to resolve the name of the ESXi host. If DNS does not work, add the ESXi host (s) of Windows server hosts file destination.

  • Is - this Windows 2003 64-bit supports the USB WD My Passport HIS drive?

I bought a WD 2 TB my drive USB of HIS passport and tried to connect to a windows 2003 64-bit server, but the drive does not appear in the list of local drive. I checked in the computer management > Device Manager > ComputerName > discs and found that there is a driver for device usb WD My Passport 0748.

I conect the usb WD drive in my windows XP machine and copy the driver ITS \\Extras\WD device driver folder and transferred to local drive of the windows 2003 server and I tried to update the driver but the driver update failed and telling me that there are no compatible driver in the source folder.

Here are the contents of the folder:

    wdcsam - security catalog

    wdcsam - information for installation

    wdcsam - file system

    wdcsam64 - file system

I tried to search the site Web of WD for the compatible driver 64 bits, but, according to the Internet, the USB doesn't have a driver for windows because its use of the microsoft driver. Below are the links related to the topic of Microsoft and WD which, in my case, does not contribute to the problem.
