Need to add Windows XP to Windows 7 so I can play my games that work on XP

I use Windows 7 Professional. I would add Windows XP as a dual boot, because I have a lot of XP programs; especially the games I want to play. However, the instructions say to install the old version first. I don't want to uninstall Windows 7 first; then install XP; then reinstall Windows 7. Is there a way around this? Microsoft Virtual PC will allow me in XP Mode, but he says that he wo't work for games intensive programs; This is why I would like to add the XP software I have on the disks, so I can run these intensive programs of games. I hope that a solution to my question.

Thank you!

As you have Windows 7 Professional, there is no need to dual boot XP.
You can download and install XP Mode in Windows 7, allowing you to play all your old XP games.
