So if I move my program files to the new SSD on the same computer, can I unregister?  Or just uninstall and reinstall it on the new drive - assuming that the computer will always be assigned to this particular computer registration code

If I install the programs on the SSD I will be able to access the data on the HDD (documents, pictures and music) of the SSD?

Any help would be accepted with gratitude.

    Hi, Smcc42,

It is not possible to copy and paste any programs installed on another disk - you must reinstall them because their files are located in various locations on the disk and because of the registry entries.

Way back when I upgraded my main drive to a SSD, I used the following to put all the files of program/user on my HARD drive.  My questions are:

    1. What are replaced to the default settings?

    2. If so, what measures are needed to reach my current setup?

    d:\Users d:\ProgramData

I would advise against using a script that in the beginning, because some people have had the tough get windows to read files that are not where they are supposed to be.

For applications and other personal files, 10 Windows offers a similar feature in the settings.

Program files (and the similar system attributes) should probably be intact until the symbolic links (which redirect Windows when he tries to find the file) running again. The application of this article did not work because Windows 7 was new, and equivalents of the command prompt (how I got to this topic) do not work.

  • Windows 8 move the SSD hard drive program files

    Hello

I just bought a new computer, it has 2 drives. one is a 32 GB SSD which was intended only for Windows operating system and the other is a 500 GB of HARD drive, which was for all other files and programs.

Now because my SSD is the player by default; the program, Program Files (x 86) files and the Users folder are found on C:. this sense that when I install a program and am not invited to select a destination (such as Office 365) folder, it will automatically end on C: instead of D:. Is it possible for me to move these 3 folders on the C: on the D: drive.

    Running under WINDOWS 8

Could someone help me with this problem please.

    Thank you

Support site for your computer manufacturer should help you with this. Normally a 32 GB ssd drive does not contain the operating system because it is too small. She is just a cache for recent files speed up the computer and it is not generally drive C.

  • I moved my Adobe program files on my drive E:\ and now I can't install Extensions

I use Adobe Master Suite CS5.5 on Windows 7 64 bit, I moved the programs using a program called Application Mover (http://www.funduc.com/app_mover.htm)

I am trying to install a .zxp extension in Flash Professional, but have not been able to do without Adobe Extension Manager knowing where my Flash program files.

The only programs that show on the extensions Manager are the 64-bit ones, Photoshop, and After Effects.

Is there a way of either bypassing the extensions completely Manager or is there a way to update the paths in the extension manager?

    Thank you

The extensions manager gets the path of the installation of all the products supported (DW, PS, etc.) of the database that is created during the installation of the suite. Application Mover does not know this database and cannot be updated, so after the Mobile Extension Manager cannot find all the displaced products.

To install the extension through the extension manager, please visit http://forums.adobe.com/thread/977023?tstart=0. Although this guide is intended for the bridge, it also applies to other products.

  • Comment to recover missing components after having moved from "Adobe" from program files and program files on another hard drive internal?

    Hello

I know that the title is long, but I'll try to be clear. I am currently working a lot on Premiere Pro CS6, since I else riding between movies and my drive Windows C is saturated. Jso got the real good idea to create an Adobe folder on one of my other internal drives and y 'cut and paste' (the thing never to do...) "Adobe" from program files and program files, in order to address space. So I created a file Program Files and another program with them each in a subfolder 'Adobe'. Following this bad initiative, opening again my firstsoftware, you can imagine that I had several bugs no one telling me that it lacked components (obviously) and my renderings, which once on two resulted in a "the software has stopped Monday and needs to close" (trickier).

I have the coup d'etat switched back the folders on drive C (story of a little more drive the nail), the missing components error message no longer appears, however problems rendering and stop persistent software.  Knowing that about 15 GB is miraculously freed himself... not what is more difficult, but also probably explains the bugs...:)

My question is the following should I uninstall and reinstall (Creative suite) where there's a you it another solution pour everything in order? Knowing it will take anyway that my C drive is dé-sature a bit.

Thanking you sincerely pour your help, your guidance, your time.

You cannot move a folder from one drive to another program (as you know) because that destroys the links that the operating system must have in order to run a program

Disable this feature to unlock your serial number... Uninstall... Install fresh... also, the Adobe programs do not LIKE to install other drivers

Move the data files to another disk to free up space on your C drive

  • Why I no longer storage capacity after moving the files of external volumes?

Disk utility reported that I had only 29.76 GB available; the 250 GB SSD was used as follows:

Apps 48Go; Photos of 32 GB; Audio 24GO; 18 GB movies; Other 99.72 GB; Available 29.76 GB

After moving to photos of 34.2 GB external volumes, films of 6,76 GB and files of documents 1 GB, disk utility has reported:

    Apps 48Go; Photos 9GB; Audio: 24 GB; Movies 11FR; Other 132,14; Available 29.76 GB

After moving ~ 42 GB of data to external volumes, HD of 'other' content is passed to 132,14 GB 99,72 GB.

Not after winning more space, I moved other files; Other rose the same amount and available showed I have now 39 GB

I don't understand why 'other ' space used increases as much as I thought I had released.

So, how can I increase the space available in this SSD?

  • The access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" are not secure

    Hey there
Had a minor shock after I discovered that the access permissions default to the "limited users" in "C:\Windows\" and "C:\Program files\" are raised by the image automatically XP - Pro installed on my Tecra A6.

Default access permissions to the NTFS file in "C:\windows" and "C:\Program files" for "A limited number of users" should not have permissions "File/writing data Creation" or "Creation of folders/adding data. This opens up for what is called dll redirection attacks (ref: http://blogs.msdn.com/aaron_margosis/)

When you install a Win XP a normal retail or OEM Windows XP cd these two folders are special protected by this measure (not allowing the permissions listed for limited users). Installation procedure of your image work it around (in established Microsoft) measure and open breaches in security.

Now I have to drop all these permissions and hope that all of the utilities of your work for limited users after that that, otherwise you get a very unhappy customer on your hands. ;)

    Hi Henrik

Thanks for the information. I have a common user of Toshiba and I have never heard of such attacks to redirect m .dll.
However, I think that if each user install antivirus software (nothing unusual at the time; everyone should use) and activate the Microsoft Windows updates and OS firewall should be safe.

  • Error 1 has occurred to C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\VideoMASTER\bin\VideoMASTER.dll\Check Size.vi of data

Ok... Seriously I'm banging my head against the wall here.

I'm using LabVIEW 2011 SP1.  VideoMASTER 3.1!  I have compiled mass screw on the 2011 folder.  It does nothing good.  2 machines to put up with the same versions of LV and VMS.

I use the VBF in Image file VI niVMS to convert .vbf files to jpg.  I browse to folder of waveforms in the public domain for VideoMASTER and select the native C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\VideoMASTER\Waveforms\480p RGB OmniGen.vbf file.  I then monostable it in the same folder as the jpg file.  I get the following error:

    "Error 1 occurred in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\VideoMASTER\bin\VideoMASTER.dll\Check Size.vi of data.

    Possible reasons:

LabVIEW: An input parameter is not valid. For example if the input is a path, the path can contain a character not allowed by the operating system such as? or @.
    =========================
NOR-488: command requires GPIB controller charge controller. »

On computer A, I do NOT get this error (in fact, everything works fine for all files).

On computer B, I get the error.

Do the same for the vbf HDMI file in the folder of waveforms and it works very well.

Do the same for the 480 p file, but a bmp file and no error, however the bmp file is corrupted with no data.

I need to know what is happening in the bowels of this dll.  Maybe I'm missing a codec on Machine B?  It seems that I'm missing a dependency for this file type.  If so how would I know which?  VMS I reinstalled several times.  I copied the dll over the Machine A.  I checked is NOT a licensing problem.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you

Jigg, with some quick research, it seems that the accident that you see can be related to do not call the niVMS function initialize before VBF to picture file feature.  Please try to run each of the screws after the launch of LabVIEW 2011 and see if you get the same results, and also adding the Initialize works in your code solves the problem.  If so, it seems that it will be your workaround solution, but we will also file a bug report; crash is not an expected way to treat this condition.

Edit: Also, if you have other versions of LabVIEW, 2012, etc., which you can compare run this code, we would be interested in the results.

    Thank you

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
