  The existing cluster has a connected SAN. Should what precaution I look forward to add a new host to the existing cluster? I did research that we should physically disconnect the HBA before adding, I don't know what it is to be honest.

  Once the host is already in the vCenter inventory, you cannot change it, you must disconnect host to vCenter, delete the inventory and add it again using a different name,.

  for example, if you specify IP during the connection wizzard, it seems in vCenter inventory under an IP address, if you want it to be visible as a hostname or a domain FULL, during the wizard name you used its hostname or FULL domain name

• Get error FRM-92101 after adding a node of the Web to an existing Instance.

  I added a node of the web to R12 existing EBS who already have a node of the Web. After I added the node, I get the error FRM-92101 while opening one of the nodes in the web forms. Before adding the new web level there is no problem with the forms. I ran the new autoconfig from all nodes again but the problem is still there. I am able to open the login page of two nodes, but only the question is coming with the forms. Am I missing somethig? Any suggestion please.

  Now that I've added the node of the Web 2 Finally using auto clone and adadnode.pl scripts. Therefore all URLs accessing EBS of browser web are to redirect to the Web node 2, no matter if I have access to the application of Web node 1 or Web 2.

  Did you run the AutoConfig successfully on both nodes?

  Seems something must be corrected in the context file or the database for other FND tables. I don't know why it's happening. Please help me.

  I still wonder why you have not enabled the file application.log until now. So, please report it the full error log here.

  I would like to add a new host Virgin esxi 5.1 to an existing cluster from the vcenter. What are the things that I have to preconfigure on the host before add you it? I configured the network already, storage will be implemented when I add it to the cluster, right?

  So, what I ended up doing was just set up time, networking and dns. I then added the host while he was in maintenance mode. I have a Compellent SAN storage and im using a folder in compellent to map all my Lun, then I can just add a new host in this folder, and it will automatically map all volumes to the newly added host once I go into vmware and make a new analysis on the FC HBA host (do FC fabric SW zoning first of course). I then added a file .locker on one of my SAN LUNS scrach location/newspapers. She's.

  Yes. You can create different consistency nodes in the same cluster with cache files - config.xml defferent as long as you use the same file tangosol - coherence.xml and the same file tangosol-coherence - override.xml. But you can't store the data in the cache in the various nodes (created with different cache-config file). In other words, a node only to create their own Hide modes that are launched with the same cache file - config.Xml.

  But when I try to store data cached from the client side, it reports the error message: it is staorage-disabled people. It shows that this console cache cannot store data in the server cache existing since then using different cache config files.

  Perhaps these questions already been asked and answered - is there a way to know how many knots (or list of names of the nodes) in a RAC cluster? I found the command SRVCTL who can tell which instance of a RAC database is running on node/server but I just want to know the names including the RAC cluster.

  To extend the clusterware to node3, you are right. If you want to extend 10.1, 10.2 and 11.2 RAC, then you will need to follow a different procedure for each version of the cars that you extend. The procedure of extension 11 GR 2 rac is different from 1og rac.

• Adding a node to a cluster... QPI?

  Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.  Here's my situation:

  I am running a cluster 4 knots in vCenter.  Each node is running dual Intel Xeon 5650, processors 6 hearts.

  The time has come to expand this group to another node.  However, after reviewing the customization options for this node and the budget, they gave me for the purchase, I noticed that I can now afford to get one of the new processors Intel's QPI.

  My question is - is there the predictable problems that may result from the addition of such a knot to this cluster?  I've got mode of EVC of my cluster set on "Intel Xeon Core i7" so according to my information, I should be OK, but I'd feel more comfortable getting someone agreement/confirmation rather than dropping a bunch of money on something that I'm not 100% sure of.

  Or maybe I'm dense and I missed something obvious... Please report it as appropriate.

  QPI does not affect the visible records/functions for a CPU.

  As ling as the processor supports the VCA (who founded any QPI CPU's) and is supported by VMware, you're good to go.  I have a QPI and not QPI CPU in my home group.

  I have a few questions about the activation of the VCA:

  1. is it correct that if a cluster is already existing and run several virtual machines I would be able to their or move them to activate CVS?

  2. is it true that if I have few hosts I could vMotion virtual machines on the hosts in the cluster and when empty to VCA and your choice?

  As in, if the cluster DRS has many configuration with resource pools and others I want to keep.

  3. is it always necessary to empty the cluster to enable EVC, even if the definition of the VCA operating at a level that all guests can currently use?

  4. If there is a cluster with, say, five hosts, would - it possible first to break two hosts of the cluster and vMotion all virtual machines for them, enable CVS, back the VMs and then join the other two hosts on the cluster? If do not and so rush hour now. The principle would work?

• How do I know how many virtual machines can be added to a host or a cluster?

  I downloaded the vKernel VoP VAPP and see on the environment page that explore the ability on the right box shows "you have room on 1 cluster to place up to 23 virtual machines.

  That means's the maximum VMs or this number indicates can accommodate 23 VMs?
