Hello, I've been upgrading my pc and I want to do the final work. My pc model is:

HP Pavilion p6300uk desktop pc, desktop PC HP Pavilion p6300uk Desktop PC product specifications HP Pavilion p6300uk - technical of HP...

I did the following upgrades so far

Phenom 2 x 4 (945) @ 3 ghz with 8 MB of cache

ddr3 RAM 2 x 2

ASUS directcui2 GTX560ti 1 GB

Noiseblocker XE2R fan

700 watt PSU

I want to add an ssd to improve performance, can anyone provide examples of compatible models, I can choose to please.

Hello

Yes, it uses the standard x standard SATA cable but short or long depends on the readiness of your machine. As mentioned above, you need a mounting bracket, something like this:

  • Autorun not working is not for software and games.

In my under AutoPlay control panel I "install or run program" defined for software and games. But whenever I put I have software or game cd in my drive autoplay does not give the option to run it. AutoPlay appears and displays 'Mixed content Options' and 'General Options', none of which are options to run or install the software. It's like windows ignores the files autorun.inf on the disks.

I found the answer myself, I went into my registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\ and I delete Autorun.inf. I ran ComboFix a few months and apparently he added

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\Autorun.inf]

I didn't notice until now because I have dual boot and I use mainly linux.

  • Adding an SSD for Acer Aspire VN7 - 591G - 70RT (need help)

    Hello

I have an addition an Acer Aspire VN7-591 G-70RT with a slow 5400 RPM 1 TB WD Blue that creates a bottleneck in my laptop.

I checked on Crucial to see if there are compatible SSD for my laptop which recommended:

MX200 crucial m2 Type 2280 (Single Sided) 250 GB internal SSD

I was wondering, do anyone know if this information is correct? I was having mixed information online, 250 GB wouldn't cut my storage needs, if I could only get a 2.5 SSD "so my intention is to have an SSD 250 installed and my 1 TB HARD drive.

Also, if the SSD was not the main drive would I still see the benefits of installing games who him? As in would be the existing WD blue always be causing a bottleneck?

Any help with this would be appreciated!

I have the device works now, I installed the MX200 Crucial m2 250G without any problem. Here's how.

    WEAR AN ANTI STATIC BAND:

Step 1) remove all the screws on the underside of the laptop

Step 2) use spudger or credit GENTLY lift a gap between the keyboard and the base, then use the credit card to slide slowly into the space to jump open clips, NOT FORCE.

Step 3) (OPTIONAL) remove the keyboard connectors by moving clip and gently remove the cable from the Jack. However the HARD drive slipped in for me without necessary to detach.

Step 4) unplug original WD HDD blue reversing the clip and disconnect the cable

Step 5) close laptop together and boot with Windows 10 USB install

Step 6) install windows on new SSD (for me windows automatically activated via the BIOS/UEFI) if it doesn't happen for you, simply re-attatch the original HARD disk.

Step 7) if the activation is successful, again set HARD drive and original format. I have kept all the original ACER RECOVERY and Partitions (Healthy) in case I need to restore factory default, but formatted primary partition.

  • Adding additional SSD for dell xps 15 with 256 GB SSD

Hi, I just bought a dell xps 15 9550 with 6th gen i7, 8 GB of RAM, and 256 GB ssd. Is it possible to add an additional SSD for the location of hard disk 2.5 inches remaining. If possible do I need to buy the cable for SSD too or is that what cable already included here?

    Thanks in advance,

There is a support and a set of rubber bumper needed to connect a disk 2.5 "hard.  In general, these are not delivered with the system unless it is controlled with a hard drive - you must remove the base of the cover to check if - some reports are that some versions can be delivered with the necessary equipment.  If not, they are likely available from spare parts from Dell and from other sources such as EBay and third Dell parts suppliers such as share - People.com.

  • I'm unable to install Shockwave, I Flash which is pretty good for movies and games?

Hello world. You can I'm new at this computer stuff. Thus, it is not easy for me to ask my question. But I just got this new top lab for Christmas and I want everything to be in working order. I came across some tips for setting up your lab on YOU TUBE tops and have changed my Firefox browser. That's when I learned that my Shockwave for Director is obsolete. What is c? Research I've done on Adobe, it seems that it is $ 299. the program? Why my laptop HP Pavilion would have something on this subject that I can't access? Well, I guess I'll have to uninstall it. I don't know maybe you guys have a better answer. But I'm not paying for another when I have no idea what he's doing? But it seems that the developer is working with the shock wave of games. Well, I want just the Shockwave to play the games. I also tried to install it on the Solution Explorer, but it won't let me. What is the next step?

  • Adding an SSD for my H50-50?

I just buy the desktop: 50-50 and that you want to add a 250GB 2.5 SSD ".

I want to configure so that the SSD 2.5 "has the OS on it and all the rest will be on the regular reader of 3.5".

I noticed that there is no additional cables within the computer to allow me to add a second drive.

    (1) what cable does and where they need to connect on?

    (2) what plate mount adapter do I need to install the SSD 2.5 "because I noticed that the drive fits through the screw holes in the basic training? -(à un coup de pouce, je pourrais juste utiliser un trou de montage et utilisation dele de ruban double face pour maintenir en place étant donné qu'il n'est aucune vibration avec un SSD)

Thanks for any advice you might be able to give.

Moreover, I am a little irritated that the computer only has a VGA port for my monitor as my DVI monitor cable. even my laptop 7 year old had two connections, VGA and DVI.

Finally (and I'm sorry to ask so many things) my computer has two VGA jacks, which is one of my monitor, the top that comes directly from the motherboard or the other that comes off (what seems like) a graphics card?

    Thank you

    Richard

    Dear Richard,

We just did. You will just need a SATA cable to connect the SSD that left free SATA connector on the main Board and a way to fix the SSD in the 3.5-inch Bay available (better not done by an adapter plate, but you can also use a method improvised for difficulty as the SSD because it is light and there is no mechanical stress during operation). There is only a single power connector free available on the cable running on the hard drive, and I used this. I saw no other connector of the power supply. With these two connections the installation worked fine.

Regarding the graphics cable: more VGA there is also a graphics card HDMI port. You can use a (available at a great price) adapter to connect your DVI cable into the HDMI Jack.

The harbour VGA and HDMI on the main Board come the Intel HD 4600 Graphics that are part of the core i7 processor, but they are probably off by the graphics card so that you should not use them when you have a graphics card in place.

    Hope this ionformation.

I would like to know if I pass the SSD to the main location so that it starts the system?

    Hello

Yes, you can try the BIOS. Sorry I don't know it will work or not because I have not tested. Please note: you need a SATA cables (and maybe a shopping cart) to use the second span on your machine DV7T:

Are you talking about physical size or size of capacity? For the physical size, it supports 2280 (or 80mm in length). For the ability in theory no limit, but the default value is 256 GB. More information:

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-540me: adding an SSD (SATA III) for HP Elite desktop computer. Is this possible?

    Dear Experts...

I want to upgrade my computer by adding an SSD as a master drive and move the original 2 TB drive to be a slave.

I found several coices of SSDS, but almost all of them are SATA III interface.

Is my office supports this interface? as it is just written that it has a SATA interface without specifying what version of SATA!

How many hard drives could this office holds? I already have two (the original 2 TB and my old drive 256 GB) and I wand to add a SSD for Windows and the progs.

Can I purchase this SSD for example? Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-series 500 GB 2.5 inch SATA III single-unit Version internal Solid State...

It is the official my desktop HP specifications page .

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

It has 2 bays free HARD disk as on its specifications:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c02781215

You can trade SSDS on your machine and make the old HDD as a secondary drive ("slave"). SATA III is backwards compatible so you can use it. Since then have been smaller SSD (normally 2.5 "), something that is similar to one of the following media:

  • Adding an SSD on my PC without having to replace the HARD drive

    Greetings!

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 180 t desktop PC with Windows 7 64 bit installed.  I do a good amount of games on my PC and a year ago I upgraded my card to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 graphics and my diet to a Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W unit.  I also have a card mother mATX (9.6 "x 9.6") of PEGATRON.

Recently, I tried adding an SSD for my machine in order to improve the performance and organisation for some PC games that I love.  I did some research on the subject and am found a bit confused on whether or not, my motherboard will be able to handle the addition of an SSD in my machine.  I have read that I need you sure that my motherboard supports natively AHCI?  How can I check to be sure that if I buy an SSD that I'll be able to integrate it into my system?

To be clear, I want to continue to use my disk regularly to run my operating system and all the other goodies on my PC and install an SSD for store and load my music/movies/games etc.  I was watching some affordable 'mushkin' SSD that seem to do the trick.  I can give the link for more later if necessary.  Thanks for your help!

    Hello

F10 to the HP splash screen you will get in the bios.

AHCI is recommended for use with an SSD, but it is not necessary. Most modern SSDS are supported operation garbage collection which does almost the same thing to maintain the SSD.  Check with the manufacturer of your SSD.

Even if the SATA controller is set to RAID and the SSD doesn't not part of an active array, topping should always work.

  • SSD for Inspiron 2350

    Hello

Is it possible to change my Inspiron 2350 for one SSD HARD drive? He came by default with a WD 1 TB HARD + 32 GB SSD drive for caching.

I'm looking to replace the small SSD with a 512 GB SSD for OS and keep the 1 TB of data. Is this possible?

Yes, it is - you need a player mSATA (NOT the newer readers of NGFF m2 which resemble the connector and displace mSATA market fairly quickly at the end).

Did this and it showed "No. Bootable Device Insert boot disk and press any key"

I'm really sorry, I could not find this before, but the slot under the hard drive is not compatible with the mSATA disks. It's for WWAN modules! Your laptop is not like 4 I thought, but Envy 14 equipped with the first generation of Intel processors. Envy 14-Sandy Bridge 2000 series could be BIOS modded to make the miniPCI-e interface works with the mSATA disks but Envy 14-1000 series is not possible to change.

Edit: 2.5 "drive 256GB solid state drive is listed as compatible.
