Stop to start and stop.

I have a gateway/Vista Basic Home Edition. When I turn it on it turns on and goes to my desktop screen and then it stops. Once it stops, it starts up and then it stops again. It will continue to do the same thing until I have to feel frustrated and just stop it completely. Help, please!

First try to start the computer in safe mode and check if it works well here.
Steps to start the computer in safe mode:
1. reboot the computer.
2. as soon as the screen is empty for the first time, or if the BIOS post ends.
3 start recording the F8 key repeatedly. The Windows Advanced Options menu is displayed.

    My iDevice doesn't connect to iTunes, I think its a result of the apple mobile device service. The restart option doesn't come up, it just says  "start the service" and when I click that an error comes up which says "The Apple Mobile Device Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if not in use by other services or programs". (I've already got a post with this information on I just wanted to make it more clear)

    If your iOS device does not appear in iTunes, try the following:

    1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
    2. Plug in your device
    3. Locate Bus USB Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
      It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB.

    you will surely find this switch status. But there are easier ways (but more expensive) for a button. Fiddling with a pen or a small screwdriver to switch USER1 is not what I call "user friendly"...

    -You have at least 2 voltage inputs on your module available. Use a switch voltage on the power inputs. Use a 'real' button!

    -You have an available serial port. You can set some pins on GND or voltage and check their status inside the cRIO/RT target...

    Thank you for the Microsoft Answers uisng forum.  I suggest that you check your system for corrupted files.  You use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files.  To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, clickStart, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    2. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

    The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • use of an input signal to start and stop screws

    IO have a Vi that must be started and stopped by a signal from a sensor on an automated production line. the problem is that the Vi I created to capture and compare images from a webcam placed on a robotic arm that is used to fasten the screw in part needs to be started and stopped a man using the screw that is "run" buttons located at the top left of the façade of the screws. How can I use an input of probe signal (+ 5 V for 10 ms) to statrt and stop the Vi? The Vi cannot be allowed to run when there is no room for the robotic arm work, it would consume electricity that costs money.

    No program in any language can be started by an external signal.  Some software must be running in order to detect the signal.  If this software is an integrated program running on a microcontroller or a multiprocessor supercomputer it still works the same way.  The power required by the computer is probably low compared to the power consumed by robots and other manufacturing processes.

    As you have described your system, you will need a computer that runs all the time while waiting for something to happen on the Web site, which indicates that a paypal transaction has occurred.  What is different from having a computer running LV with a VI in an idle state?

    If your process needs to be thrifty, you expect better have enough orders that you turn the whole sytem market very often.  The cost of automation of all would be excluded by the income of sproradic.

    It is certainly feasible to have a master computer that controls the power of certain parts of the system that are not needed at all times.  PLCs are used to control the State strong relays or contactors put different subsystems.  Make sure that time is allowed for systems comes on and initialization before you begin production.

    I would focus first on getting the automation of a condition but inactive of working before trying to go to the complete power down and control.  I think you will find that the power process will require sitting in a State of inactivity for some parts of the system while the other parts are being initialized, you will need to do in a State of rest.

    I am trying to write a program that reads continually samples based on the rise and fall of a digital triggering.  I want the measure to start on the front of the trigger and stop on the falling edge of the trigger.  I want the data that are read to be preserved and then added with the next set of data that the trigger rises again.  I have read the tutorial "Digital start and stop trigger" and can use the reference to stop the measurement process and I looked at the example "Acq & chart voltage - Int Clk - HW Trig restarts ' that comes with LabVIEW and I can get the two of them working separately with my request.  I'm quite confused however try to put the two together (see attachment).

    If I put a "Start.vi" icon inside the while loop then I get an error "you can do this while the measure is still ongoing".  If I put it out of the loop and then the process only runs once.  I tried to put a loop structure case for restart only if necessary, but this has produced another error which the source escapes me.  Is there a standard way to do this and if so someone can point me in the direction of an example?

    I think that in this situation, it would be preferable to use a Pause trigger.  You can use the break to stop the acquisition when the trigger was low and start when the trigger is high.  In this way, served only for the duration of your trigger pulse.  I've attached a screenshot of a VI that illustrates this principle in action.
