  Hi all

  I have one server PowerEdge T330 with 8 slots of disc and have currently 3 SATA drives running a raid 5 configuration.  I have a virtual disk configured for Raid (must).

  The operating system recognizes the disk and is able to use the resources...

  My desire is to add another hard drive to the table (hard disks of the same size, same brand, etc.) with 4 disks without losing any data.

  I looked in the settings of the iDrac and the only adjustment was to add the new disk as a global hot spare or a hot spare dedicated to the virtual drive.

  I also looked in the BIOS and do not see a way to add the new drive.

  Does anyone know how to increase capacity?  I can blow the virtual drive if necessary and start over without problem.  I intend to gradually accomplish this Act until adding 8 disks. (5 times).

  Management controllers RAID and tables is not made in the BIOS iDRAC or systems. For the management of the RAID (virtual disks) arrays, you have OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA).   Hi Rhandelle, in addition to what said Alvaro, yes it is possible increase of the storage volume by adding additional hard disks. It is also possible to extend the current raid volume, but if you don't do this correctly, you can lose your data. I recommend instead is that after you have added the support of hard drives to create a separate RAID with new hard drives and used VMWARE for you extend the data store.

I moved all the files and subdirectories contained in the original "\Windows\Installer' in the target directory (the these files had been previously copied to a temporary directory and after the move, I checked that they were visible in the folder '\Windows\Installer' open the symbolic link with the Explorer).
  Then I launched a system patch, and I discovered that the installation of the update of the software deleted program point junction that I created, deleted all the cache contained in the directory with the name of substitute target different files and recreated the "\Windows\Installer" folder in the original disc.

  We also recommend to run the troubleshooter for CD/DVD playback and burning. To do this, try the following steps:
  a. see play CD/DVD and burning issues.

  c. restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

  Your question is not related to the material. Unless you use a form any direct IO to enable communication of the VM with material then the virtual machine communicates with the hypervisor.

  Yes, it is, but remove the optical drive (DVD-ROM) and install a caddy drive HARD SATA CD/DVD-ROM (see on ebay etc)...
