  We have a copy of Acrobat 5.0. and so far he has done what we need, which is not much more to add bookmarks, links, and some retouching. I know it is very old and I know that things are changing.   I added a lot of comments and notes like that and when I view the PDF in Reader (on this computer I 9.4.2) I see little boxes square on empty lines. The lines were created when I pressed ENTER twice to insert a blank line between paragraphs.   They are not present when I open with Acrobat PDF, only when I use an Acrobat Reader.

  Problem solved - it is a police problem. Apparently Acrobat cannot manage specific fonts and it is best to stick to a very small selection of font - Arial, Helvetica, Times Roman.

  I have not test a large number of fonts. If I do, I'll post there results here.

  I created a tabular form on a page. When the page loads I want the::AddRow() to call x number of times where x is the value returned by a list of selection (from 1 to 10) on another page.   I need to get rid of these annoying two empty lines at the end of any table of contents.

  Is it possible to prevent them from getting inserted? Or remove automatically after the update?

  This is crucial for me, because the text box (for OCD) adjusts its height automatically to the content (line numbers)!

  In my view, this is a bug. And I have pointed out. But it has not been fixed in versions a little.

• InDesign epub ebook results-paragraphs not separated by an empty line of the formatting

  Hello.

  using indesign to create an ebook and export in the form of epub file... works well.

  Note: the only 'style' I did a request is "style of paragraph 1" for the chapter titles.

  The ebook resulting on the adobe digital reader is very good: notes and hyperlinks intact (imported correctly when you use the "place" command in indesign.

  Issue.

  The blank lines between paragraphs have disappeared.  It's definetely adverse and hostile eyes.

  Is there something I can do - possibly using a "universal method" if it is the correct wording - so that the white lines between paragraphs are maintained in the conversion?

  Select the paragraph after the empty line.

  go to the paragraph styles window, select the Launcher window and click New Style, name it "parabreak" or anything that makes sense to you.

  then under menu dashes add to "Space above" = everything you point size is 14pt... for example, and then click ok and apply the new style to your paragraphs, you want a space

  

  

• Visual glitch (vertical lines after the first tab) with 33 FF

  Since Firefox 33.0, I have this glitch visual - a few random vertical lines that appear somewhere near first tab if only one tab is open. I tried different versions and it began with FF 33.0 and in all versions of 33. Now I test 34.0b7 FF and it seems that is not there. So I hope that its does not pop up when 34 goes stable.

• Remove empty lines in the merged table

  I'm looking for a script that will find and remove empty lines from a table that contains fields of fusion.

  I have a table of data with about 800 cases. This table is used to merge a page report which shows the various components of the employee's income. There are about 20 lines in the table and 5 columns. I apply the merge fields to a table in my .indd file and merging works perfectly. However, there are several features/components of income who share not all employees. Therefore, all pages of the 800-page report contains several blank lines should I have deleted so that the remaining data lines to snuggle up to each other.

  I need a script that will find blank lines in an .indd table and delete them. I found the script that did this and works perfectly on an ordinary table with blank lines. However, it seems that a table cell that contains a merge field (< < myField > >) is not necessarily 'empty', even if the data in this field is Null. I found that after the merger, I can highlight a blank line, press DELETE, run the script, and the line disappears, as needed. But it manually thousands of times would frustrate the purpose of the script. Also note that I've rubbed my data file to ensure that no hidden formulas, characters or spaces. The "Remove blank lines for empty fields" option does not work on the fields in the table (it seems to me. If I'm wrong, let me know).

  It seems that I really need script which will remove references to empty merge fields after the merger. I could run and then my other script.

  I have spent hours on this and hope someone can point me in the direction of a solution.

  You can remove the markers of merge field by doing a search and replace of TEXT PLAIN for and replace it with nothing. That should allow your script to work.

  It is a weird behavior that was introduced in JDev 11.1.1.4. We fixed this in the next version by adding the new line always above the current line.

  You can do two things:
  -Make sure that the size of the range of the iterator binding is greater than the number of rows displayed, in this case the new line will be created directly below the current line
  -extend the JHeadstart TableBean class, override the createNewRow method and create a line in the first line

  I get a lot of text files from the writers and editors with™ and®'s. In InDesign, I add a line or two for the FindChangeByList script to automatically exposing these symbols. Can someone give me the GREP for this? If he could also find some MSDS superscript (where the author does not know how to create the™ symbol, but knows how to the Exhibitor, so they pretend) and replace them with™ s be fantastic.

  You don't need a GREP search for them - a text search will work just fine. Add the following lines at the end of the definitions of the FindChangeByList.txt file (I assume you are using the version of JavaScript... right? If not, I will need to change the lines a bit):

  text {findWhat: "^ d"} {position: Position.superscript}, {includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, includeFootnotes:true, wholeWord:false} find symbols (TM) brand and make them exposing.
  text {findWhat: "^ r"} {position: Position.superscript}, {includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, includeFootnotes:true, wholeWord:false} find trademark (R) symbol and make them exposing.
  text {findWhat: 'TM', position: Position.superscript} {changeTo: ' ^ d ', position: Position.superscript '} {includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, includeFootnotes:true, wholeWord:false} find the Exhibitor brand symbols typed as a "TM" and transform the symbols of the mark by exposing.

  You may need to add tabs between fields after you have copied these lines on this message - I'm not sure that the forum will maintain their when copy/paste.
