  Accidentally, one of our directors had created a new data file on the primary with StandbyFileManagement set to AUTO.

  The problem is caused because it looks 'standby_file_management' database parameter is set to MANUAL, so a new added file on primary are not created in the standby mode.

  If you set it to AUTO on the main database, you will not encounter issues.

  ALTER system set standby_file_management = auto;

  I have a requirement to search for files to date in a data log application.

  The files are generated and stored in the format< dayofyear-dd-mm-yyyy.txt="">

  And it must be added the user shall enter information in this genearte the first day and I need to automatically generate the next day file reference. That is the problem. While I've evolved logical to create automatically the number of DayOfYear (Dec. 31 it will generate 01 as the next DayOfYear) I do not think that its easy to do the same for the date. I guess it must manage things like leap years and months of 30 days etc.

  Simple ideas to do the above? By joining my screws. (Version LV2012).

  I came across several documents that speak of FLASHBACK DATABASE configuration in dataguard environments. We have several

  A few other uses:

  (1) flashback allows you to test your DR. So you can activate your watch. Test the connectivity of network/applications and features on your recovery site and when done return the database to a physical standby. It must however ensure that this is allowed in your environment. In some places, I worked, it would be a big no, no, because they have no needs of data loss. However some companies that will allow as long that the watch is delivered in place for some time.

  (2) in the case that you do a failover for a reason, but what has been the main site would then become available, you can flashback what has been your primary to make the eve rather than re-instatiating the database from scratch.
  For example. You have a power failure on your main site if perform you a failover and your watch becomes the principal. Once it's your main site is back online, you can convert your previous primary in a day before making a full return/restoration (or any method you choose) to recreate your standby again. However you also have the option to use flashback on this database and then convert it to a watch because it would be potentially faster than the re-instantiation of the day before.

  Currently, using FM11 and creation of documents unstructured.  We do custom types, of the equipment and tend to start a new document from an earlier version.  We would like to remove the previous data from 'File Info' and be updated with the current data for the new document.  Remove us the 'File Info' data and save the document, but when opened, the data is always there.

  There is a setting in maker.ini (CopyFileInfoOnImport) that controls whether imported Doc Info fields are copied to or not. It is not documented in the Maker.ini reference Guide.

  If you want that content from another file, or a model that must be explicitly added to the [options] section as "CopyFileInfoOnImport = we." Similarly, if you do not want a model by replacing the already signposted meta-date. You must explicitly set this 'OFF '.

  Also, keep in mind that FM 'merges' content when import it formats, i.e. If the item exists in both files, it is replaced, otherwise, it is left alone.

  I do not think too that you can have the index at the top of the "stack".

  However, you can group the files / folders by Type, Date modified and file size by double clicking on the topic at the top of the File Manager.

  I see that your iPhone / iPad receive are formatted as files "winmail.dat" which you are unable to open attachments. I'll be happy to help you.

  If your Mac email contains a winmail.dat attachment - while this article is for the emails from Mac, the question is the same. Once the sender updates their e-mail applications, messaging on a device iOS and Mac applications should be able to open the attachments.

  In the meantime, he also winmail.dat readers available for both devices.

  I need to know the file current date/time number stamp and the version of "spoolsv.exe" in Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP2. My spooler file got corrupted and I need to know what that the stamp of date/time on the latest version of the file: spoolsv.exe. I did a search on my hard drive and found 8 copies of the file with 7 different dates. I need to know which copy in my file C:\windows\system32\. I suspect that the problem was caused by some kind of malware. I think that some of the different versions on my machine of the initial installation of the Vista, SP1 and SP2. 3 copies that would explain. I tried all the suggestions in this forum and several others. I tried sfc/scannow and it simply replaces the corrupted file by another. I understand how works this file and a simple copy will do the trick if I knew that the file to use. I know that I don't want to go back to the first version of 2006.  BTW... my symptoms are all my printers have disappeared, and when I try to 'add a new printer' I get an error message saying that my spooler service does not work. When I opened my services window it shows that indeed, he is arrested, but I will not start because the description column contains only the code garbled machine indicating that the file is corrupted, or it may contain a virus. I had been using F-Prot until this virus got by and now I use AVG. I scanned my machine with several cleaning packages and it is is more infected, but I worry that from this corrupt file grow something. I know that the problem is not with my printers or drivers, because everyone on my home network can print on all of my printers. None of the people I know are on Vista 32 bit.   I do not know.  I do not have a file association for. DAT files (Start / Control Panel / Default programs / associate a file or Protocol with a program / analysis then list for.) (DAT).  I guess you have not either.  Your best bet is to communicate with the person who sent you the file and find out which program was used to create it-then maybe you can get the program or to find a drive for this program.  Good places to watch once you know the program are www.tucows.com and www.download.com.  Here for example is an option for some .dat to open the files that may or may not work with your (given the MANY programs produce and, even once, you need to know what program the file): http://www.winmaildat.com/ (since you say it's a winmail.dat file I hope that this link could actually work).  If it's not, and if you find the name of the program that generated the file, we can help you find something to use to play with - but we need this name (and version number).
