  Hello

  I am using Captivate 5 on XP.

  A question on the slides of question and the navigation between them.

  I have a slide menu with 6 chapters. Each of the chapters contain 3-4 slides. After each chapter, I have a question slide by a simple question about the chapter the user just visited.

  What I would like is that if the user answers correctly, he returned to the menu slide. If he or she responds badly, I would go to a saying to slide something like 'you answered incorrectly' and then go at the beginning of the same chapter. It would be even better if the user got another question when it will return to the issue once again.

  Then the same for the rest of the chapters. I already had a final quiz at the end, but I think that in this way with any questions after each chapter will be easier to use.

  Is it possible to orient the user based on the correct/incorrect answer to a question slide?

  What are the parameters of the Quiz? More specific: option then required. By resetting the failure levels, you now have a caption incorrect, right?

  And the quiz carried at least the menu slide, by inserting a button or click box, as Rod suggested at the beginning?

  BTW, if these questions are as simple as that (you may just created a sample) and one per chapter, I would have created question slides myself, not used the default question slides. This way you have full control and no mind as to the scope of quiz.

  If you want to display the timer and restart on each slide, add it to the slide master. If you want the calendar for the full amount of slides, add it to the first Question slide and set it to show to the rest of the project. If you must get rid of the timer later (after the slides in question), you'll have to hide using an action at the entrance to the first slide where you won't see the widget of the timer.

  We have an image used as a button that is hidden. All our slides have a button "Next" that must be pressed to continue to the next slide. However, when a user clicks on the image button that triggers somehow advance to the next slide.  We have already reviewed the timeline, actions for the next button and image buttons, but we cannot see what may be the cause.   You're showing a form in the screenshot button (but not the Actions tab, which is too bad. I do not understand the link to your first post, where you say that you use an image as a button, but this form button has a gradient background, not a picture fill?   ATTENTION: it happens that a form button is not disabled when hidden (it was the case for interactive objects up to a version, not sure that one). To be sure, it is really off, my practice is always to create a standard (shared) action which will first turn off the button and then hide it:

  Not at all, replied same question recently. The entire slide is considered as being clickable in this case, and since everything on a default question slide is on top of the stack, the entire slide will cover the shape button.

  If you want a question of access point where you control everything, do not use the issue of the default access point. You can easily create a question of access point with shapes like the clickable hotspots with the big advantage that the hotspots in this case need not be squares/rectangles.

• Insert the slide in question in the middle of the video

  I just bought 6 Captivate.  I have some videos of existing comprehensive training that have been saved in Camtasia.  They have no quiz.  I would like to import video in Captivate and insert slides of quiz overall.  For example, the end user will monitor the first minute of the video.  Then, the video stops and the user is presented with a Question slide.  The user finishes this quiz and start the video.  the video stops at the next slide in the Question.

  I can't understand how to insert the Question slides in the middle of the video.   I tried different search phrases in forum search but can't seem to find this exact topic.  I plead for a feature that does not exist?

• Adding video elements on the canvas

  The current documentation, I found this refers mainly to Flash not canvas.

  When I created a canvas element and go to the menu to import the grey import video out. Even if I try to drag and drop a video it is also rejected. Sorry if this is obvious, I am moving how I already did with edge animate.

  Maybe he did not do a good job of conversion, and/or MP3, it does are not compatible. As you have not said what converter you used I don't know if you can choose wav as an output option. :)  Use the help file to find out. Otherwise, use another converter of the change to wav, freemake is good as audacity.

  You must convert any static object on an interactive object to stack on top. You can do this by converting a MSO and setting to play once with no delay and no fade chained.

  I have a few slides of simple content on which I have two sets of items stacked text and image. The first set is visible at the entrance. The user clicks a button continue on the slide to display the second set. A "back" button appears allowing the user to return to the first series.

  What I'm trying to understand is how to reset the blade to its open position, when the user clicks Next, then leave the slide. I'm not under that with a playhead Captivate as the swf file is inserted into an LMS System.

  You must build a tip Action that HIDES all objects that are not supposed to be visible on the blade when it is launched and shows all objects that should be visible.  While AA must be performed on the entry of the slide from the slide in question.  This way, no matter where your user enters the blade of it will be put in place as it should.

• Duration of the slide show CS5 does not again refresh audio clip

  In a slide show, complete with 'Fit audio slideshow DURATION' checked (duration 00; 19; 32-24), I decided to replace the audio with a composition more short (00; 10; 00; 22). With the original audio clip erased and the new added audio clip and the 'slide show audio TIME Fit' checked, slide durations recalculated so that the last slide has a 00 exit point; 10; 00; 22 but the duration of the slide show is 'stuck' 00; 19; 32; 24. the end action takes place to return to the menu, but when the last slide goes black (at 00; 10; 00; 22) keeps him slide show running with a black screen, probably all the way to 00. 19; 32 24 before it hits the end action, even if I did not let it run again at this point.   Try to play with these ideas:

  Uncheck "Fit to Audio duration slideshow."  (As you probably now it have anyway).

  On the slide show tab basic properties, set the duration of the slide to zero.  Now, what is the length of the slide show?  The length of the audio new or old?

  Or, something great (so I think that the total is more audio length) on the duration of the slide.  What is the length of the slide show?

  Search now "Fit slideshow / audio.  How long is it?

  I had the same symptom as you did (audio plays beyond the end of the blades) when the durations of slide added unless the audio length and 'Fit audio slideshow' was unchecked.

• How can I omit the interactive elements of a PDF?

  Hello world. I work for a printing company large format. I'm running the questions during the execution of a file through our preflight software that was exported in InDesign as an interactive PDF.

  I don't have access to the native InDesign file, otherwise I would just re-export in PDF to print. My question is: is it possible to omit the interactive content of a PDF in order to get in my preflight software?

  I've seen suggestions of flattening of the file to omit it. Unfortunately, I need to keep the fine of corresponding color intact vector elements. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or need any other information about the present.

  You should probably use the preflight Panel in the pane of Print Production and run a correction to remove interactive elements (but because I don't do it, I can not tell you what (s) to run.

  My sincere apologies for not being able to help on your previous question.

  Now, that the Interactions are concerned, they were initially designed to be placed as standalone content on the slide.

  Also if you try to resize your interaction and place it on the slide as well as other content/objects released published will always give a priority to the Interaction that it deemed to be a specific slide of Interaction.

  In the previous project, you shared, you try to time the Interaction with PowerPoint animations and wanted it to appear later on the set of slides, rather than on the start. But, as explained above, presenter honored not this setting in your project, because he in fact has considered a slide of interaction and display interaction since the beginning of the slide room itself.

  Also the number listed in this thread is concerned, there is no direct way to do it but I would like to suggest something that might help.

  If you want to keep the interaction on your slide and other content, Interaction will be available at the beginning of the slide. Surely there is no way that delaying his appearance, but you can still use animation related to Interaction in another goal. Within your presentation-> playback option settings, you can enable the feature of 'Pause after each animation' (see screenshot below). It will essentially help you achieve the function of auto-faisant a break from your animations, using your narration would automatically stop, just before you claim in your narrative and inform the learner to click on the different tabs of the Interaction. • PowerCLI - an element with the same key has already been added ERROR

  I opened a case with VMware on a problem using PowerCLI. And pretty well, they said that they do not support scripts... But the error is not related to any script. It is related to the first command I run against one of our Vcenter and we have 6 of them.

  Everything worked well until we went from 4.1 to 5.1

  I can connect to our VCenter fine, but the first command always give an error and fail to the powercli but the task still occur in vCenter.

  When it gets ugly, is we have several powershell script to maintain and automate our environment but now these script fail.

  Example, we have a script to deploy the VM model and then configure the appropriate hardware configuration and add Notes and custom attributes. But the script fails after that deployment so the rest will not run. It will be possible that deploy us to the first virtual machine.

  So for 'Band-aid' question, I added a line to my script to start a virtual dummy machine, to make sure that what is in the script will work fine.

  As far as I know, done to the PowerCLI VMware supports.

  I don't think they support the client script debugging, but the product PowerCLI itself is supported.

• How to keep the slide paused when interacting

  I have a slide with interaction drag and drop. The user must drag 3 items in three targets.

  I have a button 'next' with a conditional action that continues only if the 3 items were dropped and if they were not it displays a group called "error", which is also a close button that hides the Group of "error".

  For some reason, the 'close button' which has action "mask" also caused the slide to play after a break so that it continues to the next slide.

  The only solution I have is to make a dozen buttons pause so that if one gets no suspended there is still a pause on the slide.
