  Hi all

  I'm looking for an easy way to find all occurrences of a term, through multiple Word documents and review of each instance of the word in its local context (i.e. extracted) without having to open each document.

  For example, if I want to search the term "religious atmosphere", the search results would be something like:

  Paper 22: '.. '. but the religious atmosphere had not evolved to the point where... »

  Paper 22: "...". not that the religious atmosphere was still too controversial for a settlement... »

  Document 35: "...". If anything, the religious atmosphere was still little developed for a city... »

  Document 35: "...". it in no way improve the religious atmosphere until the decision was... »

  Paper 42: '.. '. up to - what point, the religious atmosphere was very collegial with all the elements of... »

  Any Microsoft or utility 3 rd-party which can put each instance-by-side and in a context extract would be a real, real help!

  Ken is perhaps more familiar with the Agent Ransack, I am, but a quick check she finds every instance of a string of text and shows the term in the context of a single line subject to the following:

  • At the end of the search, a list of the files found is accompanied by some statistics.
  • If you select one of the files found, each 'hit' for this file is displayed in the context of a single line.  In other words, you get a list of hits in context as in your original question.  Instead, you get a list of, say, 42 documents and then if you have selected the Document 22, you will see:
    • «.. but the religious atmosphere had not evolved to the point where... »
    • «.. . not that the religious atmosphere was still too controversial for a settlement... »
  • The display of content seems to work with OK * .doc, *.docx and files *.pdf; not so many other types of files - even if it looks for text in all kinds of other files.

  Agent Ransack is free.  Download and try it.  If you don't like, just uninstall.

  How to map styles InDesign for export to EPUB/HTML as the content can be rolled up inside two tags, as follows:

  If InDesign doesn't have this feature, which is the more programmatic, automated way to go to achieve this result?

  In my opinion, this isn't the way it is intended to be used by Adobe, but GREP-style in the paragraph styles allow you to play on a certain level with your request. According to your criteria of GREP, you can select the entire paragraph or selective words or phrases. Here is an example of wrapping the two styles of child with the paragraph style:

  

  

• Adding multiple RDMs to a virtual machine

  Hello community... we do a lot of fun virtual project of the SQL cluster, running on ESXi 5.0. Without going too much into the details of design, I'm looking to try to generate scripts, adding a bunch of RDM (45ish) for a virtual machine. The RDM were presented to the guests, so the next step is to add the ROW appropriate to the virtual machine in the right order.  Here is a partial list of the available RDM:

  

  Based on our design, I know that 46 LUN must go in SCSI 1:1, 47 LUN must go to SCSI 2:1, 48 LUN must go to SCSI 3:1, and so on. I have a worksheet that has a correlation between LUN ID and SCSI ID required.  I can also manually add 1:0, 2:0, 3:0 for created controllers. What I would do is script the rest.

  I saw a number of scripts, and I don't quite see what I need.  To begin with, how can I specify LUN ID?  From there the questions keep coming. Any ideas/suggestions?  Thank you!

  The error is because there are 2 controllers returned (the same one twice).

  If you have 2 connections open vSphere? Make one

  If there is more than 1 entry displayed, you should check if you are in multi mode. Make one

  If so, cut 1 vSphere connections. For example, by

• Using a choice of multiple words in a drop-down list field to launch a java script

  I'm a complete newbie to manuscript of java and relatively new to your building in Acrobat.

  I use a drop-down list field to fill in automatically other fields based on my 1st drop-down list selection.

  The 1st field drop-down allows me to select a variety of suppliers.  Once I have selected the vendor, he auto-remplit the coordinates for this provider.

  I've plagiarized the writing of scripts from this link: https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/change_another_field.  I even changed my domain names for the moment.  I'll change my return form field names and the script to match once I got it working like I want.

  If I use only one name in my drop down list provider (1 field), the script works perfectly and auto-remplit contact as expected information.  However, many of my suppliers are two words or more... and I need those names in print, so I can't do just a contraction of a Word.  Here is the script I use:

  Unique provider name, I used in the example above is "ADLEMI."  If I add 'BEST' to ADLEMI (see below), I get a syntax error.  I really need to be able to use several words in my list drop-down provider to trigger auto-fill.

• How to add multiple Meta tags?

  I work for one allows large education State to add meta tags to the header to the Dublin Core metadata initiative. In this case, not having not meta tags is not an option.
  
  The metadata must be unique for each page. Using the keywords / Description provided in the menu settings will not work.
  
  Files of "ccKeywordsAndDescription.htm" "ccKeywordsAndDescription.js" piracy is not an option because different meta tags data are required on each page, and sometimes several of the same meta tags data are required on a single page

  For this reason, adding a template parameter for each editable meta data tag seems not to work as well.
  
  This question was raised once before in this form by another but no response. I thought I would check again.

  It doesn't look like this is doable in Contribute, so we're going outside a solution.

  Users create the page they need in Contribute, from a model with an editable header. Then the users return the page with a program of creation of tag Meta called Tag Gen which has the same editable according to its preferences area. They can add the necessary tags save and close the page without ever dealing with the code of the page. Then, they'll be back to post the page in Contribute.

  It's kind of a lot of Mickey Mouse, but it's the only solution we could find.

• Adding the word "Windows" to the left of the start menu

  It is a whim of mine and I'm tired of searching after I click on the Start button, the program lists rises and to the left, there is a black line empty. I would at least put 'windows' return or maybe another word.

  Right click on the bar--> tasks--> properties--> Classic Start menu--> Start Menu customize--> tools to check display administrator and check the Favorites!

  And BOOM there it was.

• Library folders showing twice when adding multiple disks

  I have the same structure of directory on drives D and F. I would like to have a wedding (2012) on D and F, the files contain the same subdirectories, but in addition to a Windows library it will show the folder twice instead of having the folder once and showing the contents of two files in the same folders. How to display the file once and the content of two files on separate drives in 1 subdirectory.
  Marriage (2012) on D and F. Structure could be "Wedding (2012) \Pictures" when I make a library, I click on the library, and he will show me the directories of two 'images' instead of one with the contents of these two files in one.

  I asked about this on another forum and eventually divide my libraries for wedding, birthday etc instead of a video library with a folder called videos then records. the best way to only once the list must used the directory junctions.   All you need to do is install the application.
  Right click on the folder that you want to see another place (not in the folder, the folder name) click on "pick link Source.
  Navigate to the folder you want to see the folder you chose as a binding Source
  Right-click on the folder (not the folder, the folder name)
  Select "delete as ' then choose 'Junction '.
  Go to the folder and you will see the listed folder

• Import multiple Word documents of several pages with the same master page?

  Hi, I should start by saying that I have no experience with script.  However, I wonder if there is a simple script for the following problem:

  I created a master page with three linked text boxes. Right now, I use Cmd + D to select a file in word, and then Shift + click in the first box to place the text on the page. But I have 125 pages that are exactly the same, just different layout Word files to import. I could repeat this process 125 times, but I wonder if there is a way to tell InDesign to create 125 pages using the Master Page X and a for each import file?

  I use InDesign CS5 v 7.0.4 on Mac OS x Snow Leopard 10.6.7 v

  I'm sorry. The problem is that InDesign treats the two pages of the spread of master together, I guess you have to make a few hoop jump. Try this, then:

  If the EntryName fiield is for example 'Shepton Mallett', it will be back if I search 'Shepton' or "Mallett" or 'Shepton Mallett', however if I spell 1 word of the search expression erroneous "i.e Shepton Mallatt", he finds no results. I realize that I have to split the sentence search and search on these two words, but not very well what is the right way to do it. I also wanted to strip of common words (IE, a, etc.) of the expression of research if it does not return loads of results. I prefer to keep if possible in sql (not verity)
