addons that my browser redirect
According to me, one of my addons redirects my browser. Lately, my browser randomly redirects me to a page about various computer games. She does without any warning, and this happens only now and then. I ran a virus scan on my computer, which has entered its own. It does only on my Firefox, so I think it might be associated with an addon I have. I would like to everyone with similar experiences to answer and tell me your story, as well as suggestions as to how addon may be responsible. Personally, I think that Firefox should ban any addon that does this. If this were happening on IE for example, it would probably be classified as a virus by Microsoft. I got an addon called Flashgot, and I removed it. I will update this threat if I still have a problem. Thank you for your help.
OK, I'll take my 1 or 2 pieces of spyware/malware per year and the movement on.
Nice day.

Updating NVIDIA, I received a message that my browser (Firefox) was corrupt and that I had to do my default browser Internet Explorer with Google as a search engine. I had many major problems with software advertising, viruses etc since I updated FF 2 days. Firefox was hacked? I reported these problems and give all the details in the last days, you can find them if check you email from this account (Stephenwolf) or +. +++ @hotmail.com. Go now will contact again later today.
public email Edition and robots to spammers. You should get an email when there are answers.
I hope that your update was not one of those sites that run misleading ads on the search engines for packages of shit... but it sounds really like your Firefox is not clean yet. Here's my method to track down and clean the bad Add - ons and other hijackers. I know it seems long, but it's not so bad.
(1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Beware of everything that you don't recognize / remember, since malware often uses sounding names important or innocent to discourage you remove. Out as much garbage as possible here.
(2) open Firefox page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
- in the Windows "Run" dialog box, type or paste
firefox.exe "about:addons"
In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions. Remember that all extensions are optional, none come with Firefox.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Any improvement?
(3) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.
Success?
Then we can work on the restoration of your normal settings.

I built a company Web site over the weekend and a praticualr addon that was embedded in an update of the browser, attached his own marketing campaign in words and phrases that I used in my site coupons which pop up remove the reader of my site. In my opinion, it is insidious leach as advertisnig that undermines the ethical marketing and craps on the business site attempt to honestly do their lives. The information you provide to remove these little monsters are vague. My OS is windows 7 and you go deep for windows XP. So who benefits for MOXI YELLOW tie its coupons as a tick on a dog, without permission, without offering compensation and like a tick, is a bitch to extract. If you care for real please contact me so I can understand the whats, why and how my problem. It's terrible. its slow my business online and this IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. You can reach me at the [email protected]. One way or another, with or without your help, I'll solve it and if that means don't use only not firefox more then let it be, and I will breath my experience everywhere on platforms of social media, forever. Believe me...
Happens to you? Or have you checked who happen to other PC, too?
Who use you as host for this web site?
Your webhost can be add you have your page web/s; some low cost hosting services inject advertising into their pages customers to help offset the cost of the low hosting plans prices they offer. (But it would have been in their agreement with you, in the 'fine print'.)How about providing a hyperlink to your web site if wee can check and see if this is happening to us, too.
BTW, a web browser which is sent from the hosting server - he can't do this shit, unless the PC is already compromised. The 'trick' is to understand what end is compromised; the source and the receiver.

I've been on the beta channel for centuries and have found this problem for some time. Many Web sites meet that my browser is not up-to-date, as the Mozilla site done before asking this question, but when I check updates the answer is always that the browser is up-to-date.
Why?
Hi larssonswood, this is caused by the masking extension agent you have installed.

I just started having this extra window that says: "RECOMMENDED updates! It is recommended to install the software to make sure that your browser is the latest version. Please update to continue. "The link says: Rvzr - a.akamaihd.NET. I'm a little reluctant to touch anything because it never happened. In addition, I've doubled checked and my firefox is 28.0 isn't up-to-date. I even re-downloaded firefox to ensure, and I always get the pop-up window.
You're smart to be wary. You can check to see if an unnoticed add-on slipped? In particular, I suggest disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions on page modules. Either:
- Command + shift + a
- Tools menu > Modules
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off.
Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
That get rid of the nagging dialog boxes?

In addition to the question below, another problem is not only my email responses are deleted when the browser refreshes, the message itself is no longer available. I have to start from the point early in my e-mail list, rather than staying on the email once opened.
Moreover, I reset and restored my Firefox as a solution, which did not help. I did it twice, following the instructions. The process has been painful and I had to get a little information, not to mention a problem with bookmarks merged. I would like to avoid this solution at all costs. Here's what I said earlier. Once again, thanks for any help, you can provide.
For several weeks now, I noticed that my browser "refreshes" the food more frequently, so often, in fact, that no matter what email, chests or survey questions that I answer get wiped. It started to happen with the last update. I can't find any setting in my preferences that will stop the constant refresh (reload? updates page?). It's also frustrating when trying to make purchases online, and as I said, write emails, fill out forms, fill out surveys, etc.
Thank you in advance to quickly solve this frustrating problem?
I use a Mac and spin the Mavericks. This problem was present with the previous operating system, too. Thanks again!Greetings,
The new version of Firefox, 27.0, seems to have solved all the problems I listed above, and I am delighted. Thank you for your time trying to help me solve problems. For security reasons, I was hesitant to go to an earlier version and went to the opera instead. Opera didn't is not supported, however, by my institution if while it helped, I couldn't stand using it.
Thanks, too, to the team which built 27.0. I appreciate it.
My problems are now solved.

Y at - it an addon that will make the tab bar to disappear?
I have multiple windows and tabs not. Does anyone have an addon that hides the tab bar? I am not upgrading my version of Firefox if I can not hide the tabs as well as block the automatic Checker addon that is sent on my system if I try to go above version 20.0.1 is there a way to disable or remove that as well?
try to remove the user.js file - normally should not be in your profile folder at all if you did not create yourself.

I got the message to update my browser, I went on the site and download the latest version of Firefox. I update my plug-ins as well. However, I always get the message that my browser is obsolete. I uninstalled it, reinstalled, without success. Please help me. When I go to help and select about Firefox, I have that I use the latest version: 6.0.2.
Check general.useragent preferences on the topic: config page.
You can open the topic: config page through the address bar just like you open a Web site.Filter: general.useragent
If all general.useragent prefs are "BOLD" (user set) then right-click this pref and select reset.
It would be probably due the FBSMTWB on the end of your useragent that you had added the Fast Browser Search toolbar extension.
