  Here is how I fixed that. I found that Skype on my android phone has been allowed access to my contacts list. I went into settings > device > find applications, tap application manager, Skype and tap, tap permissions and removed everything but storage (only contacts would suffice), back out and tap to storage, click clear data and clear the cache (don't know who is really important here, idc, remove all the things), regularize and open Skype... you will need to identify yourself again and it will ask you permission for whole again. Say no to contacts, everything belongs to you. on your Skype for windows, you need to close the session and back in. unwanted contacts address book disappeared on their own. If you want to be an extremist, uninstall and reinstall Skype.

  They won't be notified somehow. All Skype does is to read your address book and, if you do not want it to do this, go to Skype\Preferences\General and a tick 'view the contacts address book '.

  sort this out. But seriously I really have no idea what you're talking about, unless you have activated somehow out of the toolbar with the cat from address book and make messages on this subject.

  Press Alt + V and select Toolbars from the menu that appears.

  Hello: Unfortunately, my laptop crashed shortly after download and install Windows Update 1511, luckily I have a backup of NAS of the entire computer.

  I tried several methods to replace the original files of abook.wab & history.wab empty backup. The history.wab transfers showing collected addresses, but not my personal abook.wab address book file.

  I'm assuming that the procedures, I tried Thunderbird forums are for the transfer of the abook.wab are to transfer from one direct to another.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Missing address book problem SOLVED!

  What I did:
  1 uninstalled Thunderbird
  2 remove the entire Thunderbird folder in the folder AppData from my PC
  3 made a clean files and registry CCleaner, PC rebooted and defragmented hard drive.
  4 recovered the entire Thunderbird folder from my NAS backup to my PC AppData folder
  5. re-installed Thunderbird, with my POP3 email addresses and the main address book presents
  6 remove all my POP3 e-mail accounts
  7 re-created all my accounts POP3 e-mail, such as IMAP accounts

  Windows 10; have new computer and was able to successfully export all of my old emails, but for some reason that my address book are not displayed. Checked my profile and it shows all of my... .mab files but when I click "Address book" in you bird, there is nothing there. Have you tried exporting/import profile but same problem occurs. Thoughts?

  Never mind... solved myself! Thanks anyway... (and BTW, I didn't just "carry on my mail"...) I actually copied my complete profile... have done it before, so I'm not a newbie... it was just a glitch in the newcomputer I solved.)

  For address books, generally you are looking for a way to export to a file that Thunderbird can import. Yahoo and all offer two gmx export to CSV files.

  I've never used Incredimail. You should probably ask on export on the forums for Incredimail users.

  Until a very recent update (last week or two at the most) when I type writing, the contacts pane in the window of writing have shown my address book. Now it shows some kind of research, that I can't use because I have to see all the entries to see which ones I want to send an email. I can't get this behavior in safe mode.   I tried to remove and then install an older version of Thunderbird and the pane bad contact on the left was there. I can't find any setting to change the part of that wrong at the old I need. I would rather not try to reinstall win7 pro from scratch for this problem, assuming that would fix it.

  It was very strange. Now things work properly and I don't know why. I want to thank everyone for their help. The image shows the first letter of the contact you want on screen messages write with the address list. Before it wasn't to show a list of addresses, just search options to search for address books.   Address book synchronization can be achieved by synchronizing to a "service of address book based on the net. I use Google Contacts and the add-on gContactSync in Thunderbird.

  You have not asked about the calendar, but you can also synchronize the lightning calendar in Thunderbird for a service like Google Calendar.
