  Looks like the address book on the 9720 is in wireless sync with service, might be a BES, Gmail, etc..

  Accounts have been added to the device that support this?  You can try to remove these and then you try to restore.

  As another test, you can try the following:

  1. make a backup of the 9720 - to save the State that you are now

  2 wipe the unit

  3. try to restore it from backup or BlackBerry Protect file

  4. If able successfully to restore your address book and then go to add back accounts

  NOTE: If you are on a BES, you may need to contact the administrator or Help Desk to have a defined activation password.

E-mail address changed in all address books and Contact lists. Now the TB still shows the old Correo electronico in < from > when reply or forward. It's confusing beneficiaries, who have sent their responses on a now non-existent account offshore. Check the Contacts Windows - empty. Check my Outlook 2007 - all Contacts changed appropriately. How do I kill this old TB e-mail address when it is not yet listed more - except when we try to reply or forward?

I don't remember the old data (ports, password, etc.) to re-create the old account to my wife several months ago and with a different ISP - I had written all this down, but it was destroyed in a fire at home - but you put me on the right track.   Calendar = calendar

  An open book = CONTACTS

  Piece of paper, folded in white corner is Newsgroups

  Once you find this little nugget of an icon (the one that looks like an open book)... you're out of the race.  Click on it, and it will take you to all the things you want to do with your Contacts/address book... (add, delete, change, etc.).

  I have a desktop HP Pavilion P6540F under Windows 7 Home Premium. A few days ago there was a problem with windows that virtually wiped out my OS and I had to restore my computer to factory settings. Before restoring my computer I backed up all my files on a disk. After Reinstalling windows, I placed the drive with all my files recovery on it in my computer and running the recovery .exe file that has started downloading my files. All of this worked perfectly well but the problem is that these files only stored in a file on my desktop and has not been restored to its original location. Is it possible to get these files to restore to the correct locations on my computer without having to manually, drag the files to their old location? Honestly, I don't know where many of these files were located before the restoration and many items such as preferences for certain programs are impossible for me to move. Thanks for the help.

  The backup that is used to recover only restores the files in a folder, leaving the owner to move. I agree, not the application of backup more useful, but better than nothing I guess.
