ADF Vs other Frameworks Java?

Hi guys,.

Do we not have any available comparison table using which I can convince the customer as to go to the ADF for all Java application development custom.
I use ADF to last 4 years so well versed with its strong points, but still as you know that we have need of comparison and stats to leave a strong impression.

See you soon,.
Kamal

John is right (John, seems to agree with you a lot now!)-sometimes (unfortunately) decisions can be based purely on an agenda protectionist (is a spring, for example, guru will say, 'hell, Oracle there guys are nailed then I recommend ADF, and I guess I'd better go now because I'm more the $1000 per day expert!).

That being said here is a few points to consider.

(1) the Big Picture - comparing ADF frameworks would be like comparing a car to a transmission. The gearbox does only one job and if you want a motor to source who besides and make working with this gearbox - oh, and you want direction, is another solution, you should bolt on... is your favorite engine really designed to work with this gearbox?
The point is that ADF is a framework for end-to-end - if you do not have to spend huge amounts of effort and time to manufacture of every bit of work together.

(2) its development is determined by level applications company - it's not as long as other executives are not, but the fact that Oracle has bet the mortgage on ADF is at the heart of his requests for merger as well as its products as Web Center, BPM, Business Intel, Enterprise Manager etc etc. The requirements of these applications drive innovation in the ADF. I think that the fact that the ADF is such a core in the ecosystem of the ADF has its own advantages with regard to the development community, support, guarantees.

(3) as it is driven by real business applications, it solves the problems of real-world applications. Multi-channel deployment, internationalization, personalization, security etc. etc. There are features that are all integrated in ADF - don't always get you that with a framework that focuses on a specific technical problem.

4) associated 3 points above, other Oracle products are built to work with ADF (or top). So, if you want a solution of treatment of activities (such as BPM) so this isn't a different battery technology to get this working with your ADF applications - this is the same pile.

(5) productivity. Again, this can be subjective because if you're used to spring for example development, then you can be more productive in that - but we have testimonials from clients tell us that they were 30% more productive with ADF that .net - this point asside - producitivy was one of the key requirements of our own development of Fusion teams when we were building ADF - if we could do even 10% more productive, then it's an extremely positive quality for development teams.

Those are the types of points you're looking for?

In addition, who didn't make a tween, Tween when you have two frames and want to add a couple of frames between them so that they begin to look like the first image and gradually change to resemble the last image. • Difference between ADF and OA Framework

    Hello

    Can someone explain the difference between the ADF and the framework of OSTEOARTHRITIS?

    Concerning
    Mikir

    Karbi,

    OA Framework is a framework that uses components ADF (ADF business components) and is loosely based on a display technology (UIX) which was the predecessor of the ADF faces. It is only used in the Oracle Applications (e.g. E-Business Suite) environment. ADF is a versatile application development framework that can be used to develop applications.

  • Smartphones blackBerry one other Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException uncaught

    Hi all - I'm new here, so please accept my clumsiness.

    My apologies to annoy everyone on this subject again; I have seen and read the thread where someone (of the Germany, like me) had the problem to constantly get the error Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException no message intercepted, but the proposed solution didn't solve it for me (or else, I was too stupid to understand). In addition, for some reason, the link given to improvements in T-Mobile does not work (I get the msg that it is an invalid URL).

    Some data:

    BB bold 9000 smartphone v4.6.0.126 (Platform 4.0.0.135)

    Carrier: T-Mobile

    tried battery pull, several times in fact, and it makes no difference.

    have you tried sms/email = separated under Messages, but only got the "untrapped" error message again.

    The trick to reinstall the device OS sounds good, but how do I go about this? (* daft *)

    I would be extremely grateful for the help; the at T-Mobile customer service said Friday (24) that technical support remember, but they have not yet and when I call them they just tell me to be patient, something which is becoming quite difficult.

    Thanks in advance everyone,

    Viveka

    Follow the exact procedure, originally posted by Bumblepie

    The software seems to be corrupted.

    Make sure you have the latest version of the software for your device and your carrier installed on the computer.

    Click here to get your carrier software - http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    It's the device, software, not the Office Manager.

    Download and double-click to install you're your computer. Don't connect the device again.

    Once done, go to drive C: Program Files: common files: Research in Motion: App Loader and double-click on loader.exe.

    Once the Welcome screen appears, plug the battery in and click Next. When you see the PIN number appear after maybe a few minutes press next.

    Once he arrives at the device application part, select only things you need, uncheck all other languages, etc..

    On the last page before you click on finish, you see an option "ADVANCED", click on this button and make sure that both check boxes are fixed.

    This will fix the problem.

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Java webservice class methods mapping: which are the best practices? I seek advice from experts...

    Hallo,

    in my application (let's call it "MyADFApp"), I created a Java class (let's call it 'Services') which maps simply a C++ application methods (let's call it "Différendsapp") similar to a Web service.

    "Différendsapp" works on the same machine where the "MyADFApp" (works on Glassfish).

    I need to use the 'Services' methos both in the model layer and ViewController so:

    • I imported 'Services' in the AppModuleImpl
    • I created in the AppModuleImpl method for each method of 'Services '.
    • I exposed these new methods of AppModuleImpl for the ViewController
    • I configured class 'Services' to call "Différendsapp" on localhost since it runs on the same computer in 'MyADFApp '.

    In AppModuleImpl, I can call 'Services' methods directly while controlled beans think I call these methods to help

        BindingContext bctx = BindingContext.getCurrent();
        BindingContainer bindings = bctx.getCurrentBindingsEntry();
        OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("ServicesMethodToCall");
        operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("param1", param1value);
        operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("param1", param2value);
        operationBinding.execute();

    I am a beginner and I would like to know by experts if the instinctive approach I follewed is good or not and if JDev/ADF offers me a better way to use my class of 'Services '.

    For example, I tried to convert my class of 'Services' in a DataControl and I wonder if will work it after you have configured the class to use localhost or not.

    I wonder if after you have configured the class to use localhost will work in the case I have to import/use also the class directly in managed bean (which I did in AppModuleImpl).

    I would be happy if you could answer my questions and give me some explanation.

    Thank you

  • How to replace oracle JInitiator with other Native Java Virtual Machine?

    Dear Experts
    I installed ony my server not IBM application called "IBM Filenet IDM webservice".
    It is used for the analysis documents aweb application.
    The problem is that this product uses other Machines virtual Java.  IBM.
    This causes a conflict with Oracle JInitiator.
    So, I decided to depend on Sun or IBM java virtual machine.
    But I don't know how to do this.
    What are the system requirements?
    Help, please

    Hello

    By default in formsweb.cfg you have a section called \[jpi\].
    If you run the form with config = YPI added to URL Sun JRE will be used instead of Jinitiator. Note that you must specify correct jpi_classid in formsweb.cfg match the version of JRE to your client computers.

    To configure forms server to use any version of JRE installed on the client computer, you can create a section in formsweb.cfg

    \[jpidynamic\]
    baseHTMLJInitiator = basejpi.htm
    jpi_download_page = http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/1.4.2_09/index.html
    jpi_classid = clsid:8AD9C840 - 044F-11 D 1-B3E9-00805F499D93
    jpi_codebase = http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-windows-i586.cab#Version=1, 4,0,0

    and to call the forms with configuration of parameter URL = jpidynamic

    It will be useful,

  • Data storage of radio buttons in other frameworks

    Hi everyone, I'll try to find a solution to this problem: in the frist of the project, I have 3 radio buttons (Mambasradio, Amaronradio, Mastajbuonradio). In the second frame, I have a ComboBox (centers). I created 4 Bay (mambascenters, amaroncenters, mastajcenters, nothing) and I tried to change the table of the Centers.dataProvider with the selections of option buttons. So if I chose Mambasradio, the dataProvider will be

    Centers.dataProvider = new DataProvider (mambascenters)

    I tried many things but I haven't figured this. It gives me a Null object reference error in the second picture. Here is my code.

    Frame1

    import flash.text.TextField;

    Import fl.events.DataChangeEvent;

    Import fl.data.DataProvider;

    Stop();

    afterteam.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, gotoplayers)

    afterteam.addEventListener (MouseEvent.CLICK, changedatacenters)

    function gotoplayers (Event): void {}

    gotoAndStop (4)

    }

    Frame 2

    var mambascenters:Array =]

    {label: "P. Gasol", data: "Pau Gasol"},

    {label: "T. Duncan", data: "Tim Duncan"},

    ];

    var amaroncenters:Array =]

    {label: "D. Howard", data: "Dwight Howard"},

    {label: "T. Chandler", data: "Tyson Chandler"},

    ];

    var mastajcenters:Array =]

    {label: "B. Griffin", data: "Pau Gasol"},

    {label: "A. Stoudemire", data: ' Amar'e Stoudemire "},

    ];

    var is null: Array =]

    {label: "», donnees", data: "«»" "}

    ];

    If (Mambasradio.selected) {Centers.dataProvider = new DataProvider (mambascenters)}

    If (Amaronradio.selected) {Centers.dataProvider = new DataProvider (amaroncenters)}

    If (Mastajbuonradio.selected) {Centers.dataProvider = new DataProvider (mastajcenters)}

    else {Centers.dataProvider = new DataProvider (nothing)}

    use change of Auditors as part of your radio buttons to assign the value of a variable when a radio button is selected:

    section 1:

    var selectedRB:String = rb selected, assuming that your property data is "mamba", 'amaron', "mastaj", for example

    rb.addEventListener (Event.CHANGE, f);

    function f(e:Event):void {}

    selectedRB = e.currentTarget.data

    }

    section 2:

    Centers.dataProvider = new DataProvider (this [selectedRB + "centers"])

    < SkinFactoryImpl > < getSkin > cannot find a skin that fits the family portal and version v1. We will use the portal.desktop of the skin.

    You must install the latest patch bundle for WebCenter portal.

    I believe that this error is a bug caused by certain features that are available in the portal Builder, but not in a framework application.

    Basically, WebCenter is throwing items of metadata to specific models of devices. In the portal Builder, you can create different templates depending on the device, but this feature is not available in the framework where the error.

    Just install the latest patch bundle and your problem should be solved.

    Also... Note that Oracle recommendation is to use the portal generator and not to develop any new application with the framework.

  • ADF FACES - JAVA SCRIPT-LINKS

    Hi all

    I am facing the following problem using ADF Faces and with Java script

    What I need to do... i read a string in a 'list' in a JSP page that is in the sesion (I did), then I need to print as many links with the name of the list items.
    For example, if my list have the values {'value1', 'Value2', "Value3"} I have to print the following links

    VALUE1
    VALUE2
    VALUE3, which are the names to read from the list

    But I can not

    I did the following... within the JSP

    < % @ page import="mx.com.uaem.htb.sspoc.portal.Util"% >
    < % @ page import="java.util.List"% >
    < % @ page import="java.util.ArrayList"% >
    < %
    System.out.println ("Dentro JSP");
    List < String > myList = (list) Util.getSessionMapValue ("myListRef");
    for (int i = 0; i < myList.size (); i ++) {}
    System.out.println (myList.get (i));
    % >
    < % - Código HTML-% >
    < af:commandLink text = "< = i % value % >"
    action = "#{mostrarResultado1.mostrarReferencia}" / >

    < af:commandLink text = ' value #{i} ".
    action = "#{mostrarResultado1.mostrarReferencia}" / >
    < %} % > This IS THE END OF THE LOOP

    Here, I'm just trying to print the value of the 'I' variable (0,1,2)
    And I got 3 links (as expected), but I don't see the value of the variable i

    The problem here is that I don't see in the adf faces tag (for example the < ad: commandLink...) a variable that has been declared in the block of <>% Java, I mean... I don't see the i and the myList.

    Can someone help me?
    I tried many options... but I can't

    Thanks in advance

    Use the af:foreach tag - you shouldn't write Java scriptlets in your JSF.

  • How covert "asynchronous http" from c# to Java of BB

    I'm trying to convert a code of .net compact framework Java of BB.

    But the problem is that I can't find API on asynchronous http BB Java.

    System.Net.HttpWebRequest . of the .net compact framework is the following method for asynchronos http.

    • Public Overrides IAsyncResult BeginGetResponse(AsyncCallback callback, object state)

    Anyone know which API of Java BB is compatible to the BeginGetResponse method ?

    If this is not the case, how can I implement http asynchronous with BB Java?

    Thank you

    Sorry if I'm off base, but while the "asynchronous" term is used as part of these applications, I'm not sure they really are "asynchronous HTTP."

    My understanding of this term, it's that it is used to differentiate traditional regular web application HTTP request/response cycles and the kind of real-time demand used by AJAX, etc. usually to perform updates without a complete request/response cycle. In both cases, an application is published, and a response is received unless there expire.

    You build an application in webgame or a JavaME?

    If JavaME for BB, you are in full control of thread and HTTP requests, you can create new threads and issuing HTTP requests as want you up to a certain limit of the device. In other words, you must write the logic of the "async" call yourself.

    There are examples in the samples of the IDE directory. Order the browser folder com/rim/samples/device/BlackBerry and the HttpConnection API provides details on the query itself.

  • The difference between the ADR and ADF

    People,

    Hello.   I have implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 revision 5 for a University. I develop the application for Admission online for future student to apply for admission.

    I need to install Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework) or ADR (execution of Application Development) to run my application for Admission online web page for PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0, but I do not know the difference between the ADF and the ADR.

    My installations are below:

    Server machine: Oracle Linux 5.10 (64-bit)

    Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

    Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

    (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g

    (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

    (3) web Server: Web 11 g logic

    (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

    5) 8.53 PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 R5

    On the download page http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/ADF/downloads/index.html , there are 2 packages to download:

    (1) execution of the 12.1.3.0 application development

    (2) oracle ADF essential 12.1.3.0

    My Architecture Internet of PeopleSoft as shown above has been working properly for a long time. Logical Web 11g works correctly. It seems that the first 'Application development performance' package also install logical Web server which is not necessary in my machine. In addition, ADR is not free, and we may need to purchase the license.

    Essential because ADF is free and without license fees, I chose Oracle ADF essential 12.1.3.0.0 to develop the application for admission online. I read his paper on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/documentation/121300-cert-2164864.html

    9.0 Solution Campus system will be run by a University to do business formally.

    My questions are:

    First of all, what package is right for my application for Admission online Campus Solution 9.0? ADR or essential ADF?

    Second, if choose essential ADF, I have a few questions about the 12.1.3.0.0 ADF to match my installations as below:

    (1) as indicated in the document, ADF 12.1.3.0.0 can work with Oracle Linux 5 & 6 (64-bit) and other operating systems. ADF can also work with Windows XP? Can I install ADF with my Oracle Linux 5 server machine?

    (2) as indicated in the document, ADF 12.1.3.0.0 can work with Websphere Server Application. ADF can work with Tuxedo 11 g?

    (3) as indicated in the document, ADF 12.1.3.0.0 can work with the Firefox browser. ADF can work with Internet Explorer in Windows XP?

    Thanks in advance.

    If you want to use essentials, you must download the package from the essential. ADR is the complete stack where you must purchase a license.

  • Taskflows in giving personalised ADF of exception in Webceter spaces

    Hi all

    Yepp, I am able to solve this problem by creating a new application. Culd not find if the first cause.

    Question:

    ~~~~
    I created a group of ADF with Table query for all searchable attributes of a view object. Little attribute is of type database column NUMBER and their ADF attribute type is oracle.jbo.domain.Number. Some of these attributes are having more than 4 decimal places.
    For example: Cost attribute value is 1.23004
    After you run the search page, when I enter cost value as 1.23004, after the tab out. the value of cost in the criteria section is changed to 1.23 which is originally no results to return, even if the record with cost 1.23004 exists in the database. Initially, the table of results also showed only 1.23 as cost value. I changed the af: convertNumber MaxFractionDigits on 10 to show all of the up to 10 decimal precision (if it exists). After this is done, the result table shows the correct value (1.23004). but the search criteria still rounds up 1.23 for the first time. If the 1.23004 value is entered again it retains the value entered and search result works very well.
    Is there anyway that the automatic formatting of the criteria can be disabled? It is otherwise better to show all decimal values without rounding or the definition of the MaxFractionDigits?
    Really appreciate your help on this.
    Thank you.
    Sorry for the confusion.
    Build your own referee criteria view, you add the attribute number and check the tab user interface of suspicion for the attribute. Check if you can change the format here. As I'm not in front of a pc that I have to look at the other options. It may be a bug.
    There is this programmatic approach Oracle ADF Guide step by step - Oracle ADF tutorial: handle stripped to the ADF query component - see the values of input query but it should be possible to operate for the types of number with fraction numbers more then 2 out of the box.
