Adjustment of the sound volume

If you have some code like

sound(1). play ()Member()'Whatever')) and

Sound (2). Play (Member ("Whatever2"))

Is there anyway to adjust the sound volume here while one is stronger than the other?

Thank you!

You can adjust the volume of the any of the audio channels where 0 is silent, and 255 max:

Sound (1) .volume = 100

  • Is it possible to adjust the sound volume of Windows to more than 100%?

    Hello

I have a very simple question:

Is it possible to adjust the sound volume of Windows to more than 100%?

I explain why I need to do this:
I can watch DVD files or .avi with my computer and VLC, that allows to adjust the volume to 100%. Some DVDs have a very low sound. So if I set VLC to 200% volume and the system volume to 100%, I can watch movies in good sound conditions. Then, my computer speakers are strong enough for me watching a movie.

However, I have a problem with VSD: I use VOD with Windows media player and that player does not allow me to adjust the sound to more than 100%. So I put the sound of Windows media player at 100%, the sound of Windows to 100%, but the sound is very low.

Please don't tell me to buy speakers, mine are pretty strong, and I find it uncomfortable to plug the speakers.

Please don't tell me to use a software that increase the volume of the file I want to watch VOD.

Is there a way to increase the sound volume of Windows to more than 100%?

Please don t tell me this, please don t tell me that. You want to hear other people's opinions or what?

AFAIK all sound level settings in Windows are synchronized and if you change the sound level in the properties of the speaker at the same level will appear in the Windows for the Volume Mobility Center and the maximum level is 100%. No more than that.

As you already wrote the sound level can be increased in combination with Windows and some players.

Is there any other way to watch these videos, but using WMP?

It's easy - no one will be able to tell you a way to do it.
Sound control is very limited when you use the timeline sounds. That's why
It's great to have the Sound class, which gives you a lot of methods
and properties to deal with sound. One would be setVolume(), which
allows developers to change the volume of the sound when running.

  • My icon sound/volume on the taskbar disappeared.

original title: my icon sound/volume on the taskbar disappeared. Cannot be corrected through Notification because it is impossible to check the sound/volume box. What to do?

When I try to do what needs the help of Windows, nothing happens at all THE

The problem of this type is often fixed by replacing sndvol32.exe in the system32 folder. Click HERE. Download the file. Save it to your desktop. Double-click the file to open. Click on extract in the lower part. If you are prompted to replace an existing copy click Yes. Restart the computer. Check the sound icon.

  • The sound allows you to check the default speakers. However, some applications use some speakers while other applications use different players.

I produce several channels on mogulus. (see http://theallyvideo.blogspot.com/)

I use a HP desktop computer smart touch and a few laptops from Sony to run the application studio to mogulus.com.

Use the mogulus studio, I can watch multiple video streams live as sources and monitor outgoing video as well. There's my video stream live from other computers/producers in 4 different States more video feeds of my two laptops. NOTE: see www.mogulus.com

I am running Vista on all three machines. (I found that XP cannot handle 4 video stream, I got up to 9 with Vista.

Audio wise, it has worked on all three computers.

Mogulus studio, use Adobe to handle all audio and video.
I can turn on or off the sound of my guests so I can hear them and coordinate that I then put on the air and see how long they need.

The outgoing video monitor also has an audio mute button. When using the PC's built-in speakers, it's a MUST to mute the audio monitor outgoing when you go live, and then reactivate the sound when he in transmitting the other guests, or playing pre-recorded clips.

I also have a Microsoft keyboard with maximum volume down and cut the buttons on my desk. Two Sony laptops have the same keys and worked perfectly, controlling the built-in speakers. The keys make it easier to mute the speakers to use the key mute in the studio during the 'live '.

I had another option for speakers of inhibition to avoid the Larsen effect. It is to plug headphones into the headphone jack on the monitor.
I could connect the headset, do some direct ads, spots a show pre recorded, disconnect the headset and wander in the 'studio' listening to the show through PC speakers.

So far has worked flawlessly, with two small problems.

    • (1) I sometimes forgot to mute the speakers when I spotted my local webcam and microphone. This would cause comments as soon as I saw the video and it came out alive. The microphone pick up the sound from the computer speakers.
    • (2) the microphone integrated into the HP desktop computer doesn't have a good sound. The mic's Sony are OK, but too far from my mouth to provide good storytelling.

I decided that the Microsoft LX3000 USB integrated boom Mic headset would be the perfect complement to solve these two problems. I bought three of them, so I would have them on computers cell phones too.

I installed the LX-3000 CD according to the instructions. Then I plugged in the USB cable to connect the headset/microphone.

The sound of the headphones was superb. The boom Mic on the headset is a huge improvement over those built in monitors or webcams.

Mute the Mic and speaker volume up/down on the cord of the LX-3000 is a convenience too.

Use the headset no sound PC speakers. So, the echo is therefore more a problem.

Use of the helmet, it is not necessary to mute the speakers. They are now closed all the time now. So, I go live, make an announcement, then play a prerecorded segment.

    That's where everything went south.

I take off the headphones so I can take a coffee. I realize that now, I have no way of controlling the segment recorded through the speakers. I have no way of knowing when the segment is about to finish and I need to rush to the computer to make the next segment or live announcement. Being attached to the PC by a foot 3 cord isn't good at all.

I try to do what I did with the analog headphone. Unplug the headphones to re - turn the speakers.
No luck there. The speakers are still silent.

I plug the USB headphones in. NOW I have no sound through speakers or headphones. The microphone in the headphones works well. like the mute of the microphone on the cord of the headset. Reduction in the volume of the buttons on the headset cable move the sliders up and down in the windows sound mixer, but no sound anywhere.

    I re - start.
Now I get sound from the earpiece. But, not the speakers. All the volume keys on the keyboard, monitor and headset cable + / up and down the volume sliders but have no effect on the speakers or headphones. The helmet is at full volume all the time and PC speakers are silent.

I look in the Control Panel, "speakers". I see that the 'helmet' has a green check mark and don't "speak". I select speakers and press the button "default". The speakers now have a green check mark.
    No change...
    I reboot...
Now, the speakers work, but the headphones does not work. Volume controls move the sliders, but do not effect the speaker volume. None of the buttons mute function.

This is totally unacceptable. The only way to switch between speakers and headphones is through the re-booting the PC and Control Panel. Cannot do when playing a mixture of 15 the second live commercials ads and 30 seconds.

This is where it gets weird.

While in Internet Explore on the page of mogulus studio, or Flash media encoder, the outgoing audio monitor goes to the HEADSET. If I start another copy of Microsoft Internet explore and reveal my mogulus channel drive, the sound of it goes to the PC SPEAKERS.

Looking at the volume mixer, I see that if I select the "peripheral" "as speakers SoundMax integrated Digital HD Audio", there is only one application, the 'Sound' volume control and control the sound of the IE. players page.
If I select "Device", "Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000" I get two Windows sounds and Mogulus Studio applications"

I get the same results on two laptops from sony.

    NOW FOR THE QUESTIONS.
OK, so how can I tell Blender what applications go to what audio output?

Can I set up so that as the studio flash applications will both headphones AND PC speakers.

Can I make the speaker MUTE button on the keyboard and screen work as they did and set mute the speakers for PC only. That would leave the headphone speakers all the time.

Except that how can I at least get the +/-and mute keys to work as they did.

    Thank you
    Bob

Bob, you can proceed as follows which allows different devices to be chosen for different applications in Windows:

Close all programs, are preparing to open the first program which will use headphones...
-Right click on the Volume icon and select playback devices
-Select the headset as default device and open the program that you want to use this device, it will play on the current default device (helmet)
-Now right click on the Volume icon and select playback devices, set speaker to the default device
-Open the program you wish to play on the speakers

The original program will continue to play on the headphones and the second program will continue to play on the speakers.

Because of the helmet to helmet USB when you unplug them this device is disconnected (uninstalled) completely, she's not as expected with analog headset.

Where you disconnected the analog headphone the BIOS of the machine would automatically re - routing the sound to the speakers, I do not think, however, that a secondary feature differentiating the speakers in the headphones would be available in the playback devices in this instance.  This is due to the sound card as the primary and the only device in this case and the speakers/headphones being secondary speakers or all outputs simply.

You will be able to mute/unmute/volume adjustment for all devices in the Volume mixer (the switch A B device with the menu of the device), but I'm not aware of a way to run a stream audio reading by another device using the commands of its standard Windows at this time.

  • mouse control, LCD Brightness and sound volume

Hi, I am designing a VI that allows people with disabilities (with no hands) to use the PC-control with the mouse, the brightness of the LCD screen and the sound volume through several sensors. I found how to do to control the mouse but still cannot find how to control the brightness (using setdevicegammaramp) or volume (using waveoutsetvolume). can someone help me with these two functions please?

Try the attached VI. I don't know if it will work for your configuration, since other factors are involved in the brightness setting, such as the controls of the monitor and video card settings.

  • How to increase the control limits for the Audio Volume?

I have upgraded my PC base unit and no longer have the output of the Speaker Volume I had before. The audio output is more silent than before with the same speakers I used. I have moved all the sliders on the control panel of the Volume on their maximum position, but still can't get enough of output to the speakers. The important thing is for my use are 'Volume Control' and 'Wave', and these are set to the maximum. Now I have a motherboard with Intel D845GERG2 Intel i845GE chipset. The operating system is Windows XP Professional SP3, as previously. The sound card is SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio with Legacy audio drivers. I checked using Device Manager drivers and hardware to work properly. The problem is software because I can achieve the required high speaker volume if I use VLC Media Player and set the volume to 200%. With Windows Media Player, set the volume to 100% is sufficient. I'm looking to increase range parameter on the control panel of Volume as a general solution. Can you advise if this is possible? I looked at a few ideas, these courses: edit files (.inf) SoundMAX driver. Modify the registry keys concerned. Use different audio drivers (none seem to be available for my hardware). Install the software to boost the audio output (VLC Media Player should be achieve this somehow). Install alternative (rollback) Microsoft drivers. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just an update of my efforts on this issue.

I revisited the audio registry settings SoundMAX for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ \0005\Settings {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. These are installed when you install the driver for SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Changing these settings has already failed to get an increase of output audio volume. I have now found some settings of the value of these registry keys that have given me a satisfactory increase in the volume of the audio. In short, the cure for my situation was:

The file source (wdm3516b_Cadenza.exe) driver available from the Download Center Intel is a self-extracting ZIP file. Unzip this file to a location convenient temporary store (C:\Temp)

Use a text editor (Notepad) to edit the INF of the driver - in my case, it's "smwdmCH4.inf. Changes to this file cause the digital signature of the file to be invalid, but choose "Continue Anyway" to solve this problem during the installation of the driver. To increase the sound volume levels, the audio volume registry key value parameters that have been predefined 08 (hex) have been changed to 01 (hex). I suppose that this change dB levels produced by the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio.

    To install the new settings:

Uninstall the SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio hardware by using Device Manager.

Restart the PC - this should give a "new hardware found" restart of the PC.

Use Device Manager to reinstall the driver for SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. Do not use the automatic selections for this - run the installation process where you stored the INF driver edited file.

Once installation is complete, a check on the properties of the device must indicate that the device is functioning properly.

Use regedit to check that changes in the edited file driver INF appeared in the area of the Windows registry - in my case, it is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\ {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} \0005\Settings.

I will emphasize that it is NOT a recommended fix - it turns out that it worked for me. The usual caveats apply - save your original settings, or better yet, use software disk image to make a copy of your drive hard so that you go back to square one if she's going "pear-shaped" with adaptations that have been made.
