Adjustments to combine/merge

CS4 on Mac. I had to make some changes of color in the photos. In general, I will mention three or four descrete objects in the photo, and then change the color of each on an individual adjustment layer. Once I am satisfied with the result, is there a way I can put these three or four layers together into one, in order to reduce the clutter in my layers panel?

If all you want is to save space I do a group of these layers or turn them into a smart object.

Merge the layers into a single layer also works, but is much more dangerous; You can't go back after closing the file. So you must of course be absolute, 100% sure, that you must never separate the layers again.

Personally I never merge layers, but that's just me

  • Merge two e-mail accounts

I have a few email addresses Yahoo and SBC Global, I'm able to check in a single mailbox on yahoo.com, while being able to select in each address when you compose an email.

However, I'm unable to understand how to configure my Apple Mail account to reflect my yahoo.com account. Currently in Apple Mail, I have a separate account of the SBC Global and a separate account of Yahoo. I implemented this way because it was the only way I knew to be able to select different e-mail addresses when you are composing an email. The problem with this configuration is the number of unread emails is doubled due to them being two identical mailboxes.

If possible, I would like to combine/merge the mailboxes while being able to have two e-mail addresses to select when you compose an email.

I hope that what I am asking is logical and someone out there will be a solution because I know that I'm not the only person using several e-mail on the same Yahoo account alias.

Thank you, in advance, for any help you are able to provide.

    Chris

Hello and welcome to Apple support communities, OMMBoy.

If I understand your post right, you are wanting to be able to set up your Yahoo/SBC Global account once in post, rather than implement them separately, but still be able to choose one or the other when you dial an outgoing message. I know from personal experience, how practical is to be able to choose the account that come from your emails, so I'm happy to help you find a solution for this today!

It is not a way to 'merge' mail accounts in the mail that you mentioned, but hopefully that won't matter because it seems that these two accounts are already merged on the side server. That you would do so first remove one of these mail e-mail accounts so that only rest. It shouldn't make a difference, that you decide to keep. You can find steps on how to remove one of these email accounts in Mail for Mac: Configure Mail with your email accounts, specifically this section:

    Delete an account

When you delete a mail e-mail account, messages from the account are deleted and are no longer available on your Mac. The copies of the messages remain on the mail server account and are still available (from webmail, for example).

Important: If you are not sure if you want to keep the messages are still on the mail server, move or copy them to a mailbox stored on your Mac (the mailbox appears in the section on my Mac in the mail sidebar) before deleting the account in Mail.

    1. Choose Mail > Preferences, and click accounts.

    2. Select an account, then click on the button Delete .

Note: If the account is used by other applications on your Mac, you are prompted to delete the account in Internet accounts system preferences. Click the button to open an Internet account, and then clear the box e-mail for the account. To stop using the account in all applications, make sure that the account is selected, and then click the button Delete .

Once you have one of these e-mail accounts deleted, you will follow the steps of Mail (Yosemite): use e-mail alias, to add the address to remove as an alias. Don't worry that the article shows "Yosemite", the steps are the same for Sierra.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

    Take care.

How to merge 2 PDF files on iPad?

    Hi shanebrianmurphy,

Adobe PDF package (paid subscription service) offers the possibility to combine files.

Document help Cloud | With the help of Adobe PDF Pack

Alternatively, you can use Adobe Acrobat Pro (desktop app) to combine files.

However, the reader app on iPad/iPhone has no support in-app to combine/merge PDF files.

  • Create a form block, merger and retrieve form data

I am new to acrobat and impossible to find a starting point for what I want to accomplish.  I have a directory with 1000's single-page PDF files (file names are data_0001.pdf, data_0002.pdf, etc.).

For each single page pdf, I want to integrate a form with a list of radio button containing several options and a comment text box.

Every page needs a single form ID that may be associated with the original PDF, one page.

I want to merge all the single page with format pdf files embedded in a single multiple page pdf file.

A user views the pdf file of several page and selects the option button and adds comments on each page and saves the pdf file.

I would then like to export a spreadsheet file or csv of three columns with columns from the saved pdf file

'the original pdf file name' 'result of the list of the radio button' 'zone comment text '.

I need to make at least 100 times, so that each step must be scripted.

Can someone provide a link to what anyone remotely close to the workflow steps needed to achieve this with acrobat.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

You can use a batch process to add form fields to each PDF. You should do field for each unique page names, so that when you combine individual pages in a single PDF file, the form will behave properly. You can base the field names in each PDF file on the name of the original file to achieve this. To add field with a script in a batch sequence, use the JavaScript doc.addField method: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.435.html

You can then combine the single page PDF files with fields of form in a single PDF file, or by using an external script (for example, VBScript) or a script in Acrobat, but you would need the list of files to be combined, especially if you care about the order of the pages. Acrobat also has the function of "file > combine > merge files into a single PDF", but I can't say that it will work to combine that several shapes at once, so you'll just have to see.

Regarding the export of data, this may also be film script. I would say that the script can create the data file that is added to the document as an attached file (data object), which can then be extracted. Creating a tab separated text file is simpler that ensuring a properly built CSV, that's what I'd be inclined to do. A user is not able to enter a tab character into a form field, so you shouldn't have a problem with that. See the documentation for createDataObject for more information: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.450.html

    Good luck

  • Acrobat 9 Pro: "merge files into a single PDF" creates blank pages

I have a similar problem in a previous post (which received no response).

I am able to pdf documents fine Word, but when I try to combine > merge files into a single pdf, pdf pages that result are all empty. I do not receive any error messages or have problems to save the file.

I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (9.5.1) on Windows 7.

Merging pdf files did not work at all since I installed the program.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to try a repair before a reinstall. If you perform a reinstall, be sure to disable everything first.

How are you trying to merge. This may be a feature added by AA X and I do not have, but the details are always useful. What happens if you simply open one and then use the Document > insert Pages (or as much as Adobe may have set this time) and add a document at the end of the first?

  • How to combine multiple PDFs into one document?

A printer told me some time ago when I bought a few things, I can combine PDF files into one pdf. Can someone tell me how you do it, and do this with pdf that are the size of the different documents? I'm an invitation, program, cards and certificates for an awards ceremony, and wanted to know if I can combine all my pdf in a big pdf, even if they are all of different sizes.

    Thanks for any help!

Even easier in Acrobat 9 (have nothing installed earlier to check): file > combine > merge files into a single PDF file...

You must have a full version of Acrobat, possibly Pro, player not only.

  • 2 passages from a scan of a docs duplex of 50 pages to merge into a PDF file?

First pass of scan on my scanner will generate the first PDF (name the PDF - A) with 7... pages 1,3,5, 49.

    Turn the pile.

    2nd scan past will generate the 2nd PDF (name the PDF - B) with 50, 48, 46, 44 pages... 2.

No easy way to combine, merge or "reverse-interleave" PDF - A and PDF - B to make a PDF with page 1,2,3,4,5, 6... 50 in Acrobat, or using some third party software?

Or I have to manually and time-consumingly reorganize pages to create a?

Or I have to buy an expensive duplex scanner that would take place my desk space for the jobs of these rare times - a year?

I have search everywhere on the Internet and I was surprised that it wasn't even mentioned.

In Acrobat, use the option "Both Sides" in the scan dialog box.

    Hello

He doesn't know how many pages on the first document and the second one... so he can't do the job. There are few options, the following is a good software:

    http://www.PDFSam.org/downloads/

I usually use PDFSAM ( Split hasnd Merge PDF) divide after a big scan OR to extract a chapter of a thick book. I also use it to combine/merge some small PDF files to a larger file.

Please download the basic version, it's free. You have to pay to use the other version.

  • Unallocated on the C: drive memory access

My C: drive currently has a partition F:, an unknown partition and 51 unallocated designated G (black band at the top of its management section of the computer on disk 0).  How can I access this 51G?  I just want to reassign the system C: partition.

    Thank you

    Thanks db

Yes, I messed up with the drive when I shouldn't have.

Doesn't seem to be an easy way to reformat unallocated space.  It's ok that just trying to get enough available in memory until that by the old computer entirely abandoned, and which shouldn't be long now.

    Thanks again

    John

It is actually very easy to format the unallocated space.  What is more difficult, without a third-party disk management tool, is to combine multiple partitions on your hard drive.

Like what, you seem to have 4 pieces of the player: C, F, 'unknown' (which is probably your recovery partition provided by the manufacturer) and unallocated.

While you're in disk management, right-click on the unallocated space and select New Partition.  Follow the on-screen instructions in the wizard to select the amount of space in use, the drive letter must be attributed and the file system to use to format the new partition.  Directions, with photos, are here: http://www.theeldergeek.com/hard_drives_06.htm

If you want to combine (merge) the partitions, Easeus Partition Manager is free for home use.

  • Batch adding 1 PDF file to many

I have a PDF file, Enigma, with that I need a hand combination. I have a 1 page PDF (let's call that 1) and I need to apply this page to several other individual PDF files (let's call them A, B and C). The final result should be simple files combined as 1A, 1B, ake sense 1 C?  It's almost like a source/destination that sort of thing, I have another program where I have an ability to source/desitination (no PDFs, the other stuff) and it looks like this:

    Capture.PNG

So the idea in this program, is that I can copy the format of a party to the rest.  My idea for Acrobat is to add 1 PDF file in front of a large number.

I can do manually in Acrobat using combine-> merge files, but when you're dealing with a ton of PDF files which can be laborious. Anyone have any ideas on how to do it more quickly? I searched online for command-line tools, publishers of lot, etc., but none seem to be able to do what I describe in this scenario...  I want to maybe stocks could help but were not able to understand this exact behavior yet.  I welcome any advice.

    Thanks for any help!

OK, so here's how you do it. Create a new Action and add this JS code (assuming that the file you want to insert is located at C:\temp\cover.pdf):

    this.insertPages ({}

    nPage:-1.

    cPath: "/ c/temp/cover.pdf"

    Start: 0

    });

Add an order record after that, and you're all done! Select the files that you want to perform the Action and run it.
