Admin Connection OK but no PING

No idea why I would be able to connect remotely and connect on FMS2 using the Management Console, but NOT be able to ping the server, restart the server or watch any stat Server? I always 'tempting ping failed Test Server"or"error asking for stats of the Server Test Server. I can also see the list of applications, which I registered in the Management Console, but nothing happens when I try to start them.

Server is on HR ss4
Management Console is open from Windows. The FMS server manually from command promt Ping works fine.

Of course client applications unable to connect to either server applications.

Case solved!

You must have installed a package called "seamonky_nspr", which is on disc 1 installation ES 4 but not installed by default. For some reason any FMS2 installs without it and works even without displays error messages or error writing to the log. However, when to stop the server using the '. '. "/ fmsmgr Server fms stop" and the error message regarding a missing library.

    On the target computer, make sure that Port 3389 is not blocked by a firewall.  If you use Windows Firewall, go to the control panel Windows Firewall, check that "Don't allow Exceptions" is not checked in the "Général" tab, then click the 'Exceptions' tab and make sure there is a check mark next to "Remote Desktop".

    You can also ensure that a program is to accept incoming remote desktop connections to raise a command prompt (start-> Run-> "cmd") and entering the following command:
    netstat - year |    find "3389.
    If all goes well, you should see the following line returned:
    TCP 0.0.0.0:3389 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING

    My Satellite Pro M70-132 have problems with Wi - Fi connections (WiFi built in)... Generally, when the connection is excellent (indicator of windows), the pings are slow - very long time: 1212ms, 325ms, 645ms, 2112ms, 91ms, s 168ms... etc 'demand time limit has expired' (or sth like this).
    I have updated with the latest version of the Intel WiFi driver - it does not work...
    I installed new system - it does not work...

    I successfully connected inside the ASA via a software "Client VPN" tunnel network and got an IP address of 10.45.99.100/16.

    I am trying to ping the 10.45.99.100 outside 10.45.7.2, but the ping fails (request timed out).

    On the SAA, including the "logging console notifications" value, I notice the following message is displayed:

    "% 305013-5-ASA: rules asymmetrical NAT matched for flows forward and backward; "Connection for icmp src, dst outside: 10.45.99.100 inside: 10.45.7.2 (type 8, code 0) rejected due to the failure of reverse path of NAT.

    I have a vague feeling that I'm missing a NAT rule of course, but not all. What did I miss?

    You seem to have a configured ACL NAT0 but is not actually in use with a command "nat"

    You would probably need

    NAT (inside) 0-list of access inside_nat0_outside

    Personally, I would avoid using large subnets/networks. You probably won't ever have host behind ASA who would fill / 16 subnet mask.

    I would also keep the pool VPN as a separate network from LANs behind ASA. The LAN 10.45.0.0/16 and 10.45.99.100 - 200 are on the same network.

    Try to get a RV016 installed and work so that people can work from home.  You will need to charge customers remote both WIN XP and MAC OS X.

    Have the configured router and works fine with the VPN Linksys client for WIN XP users.  Can connect, ping, mount the shared disks, print to printers to intellectual property, etc.

    Can connect to the router fine with two VPN clients third 3 for Mac: VPN Tracker and IPSecuritas.  However, once the connection is established, cannot ping the VPN LinkSYS router or any other IP address on the LAN Office.  Turn the firewall on or off makes no difference.

    Is there documentation anywhere that describes how the LinksysVPN for Windows Client communicates so these can be replicated in 3rd VPN clients from third parties for the Mac in OS X?

    The connection with IPSecuritas and VPN Tracker is performed using a shared key and a domain name.  It is not a conflict of IP address network between the client and the VPN 192.168.0.0/24 network.

    VPN Tracker and IPSecuritas are able to connect to the routers CISCO easy VPN with no poblem.

    Any ideas on how to get the RV016 to work for non-Windows users?

    We found and fixed the problem, so using VPN Tracker or current IPSecuritas on OS X people have access to the LAN via the RV016 machines. The "remote networks" in the screen BASE in VPN Tracker has been set on the entire subnet: 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 the in the RV016 has been set to the IP of 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254 range. Even if the addresses are essentially the same, without specifying the full subnet in the RV016 has allowed the connection to do but prevented the VPN client machine to connect because the RV016 would pass all traffic to the Remote LAN. Change the setting of 'local group' in RV016 settings in the screen "VPN/summary/GroupVPN', 'Local Group Zone' for the subnet 192.168.0.0/24 full solved the problem.

    This seems to be a common theme, but no other positions are exactly like mine.

    I have 4 clients of VPN (different versions) software that can connect to a VPN concentrator 3005. 2 clients work very well, they connect and can ping the server. I have two clients who connect but cannot ping the server.

    1 customer - who can NOT ping. VPN client 4.0.3c on XP Pro IP 10.10.0.0/16 private leaving a 501 PIX via Internet to a VPN 3005 concentrator inside a LAN 10.100.30.0/24.

    ---> PIX 501 VPN client - > Internet VPN Conc 3005--->---> LAN---> Server

    2nd customer who cannot ping. 4.6 VPN client. on XP Pro private IP 192.168.17/24 leaving a MS Win 2 K through the Internet server in a VPN 3005 concentrator inside a LAN 10.100.30.0/24.

    Client VPN---> Win 2 K server - > Internet VPN Conc 3005--->---> LAN---> Server

    Both can make the VPN connection to the VPN Conc throughout the day, but cannot ping the server. BUT other clients can ping the server.

  • OfficeJet J6450 - printer connects wireless but does not print job cable modem replacement

    Material: My printer is an OfficeJet J6450. I am running Windows Vista, current update.

    Probably triggering the event: I replaced my modem docsis 3.0 with a doscis 2.0 modem. PSI has remained the same. All other software and firewall remained the same.

    Dysfunction: After the replacement of cable modem, I found that I could print is no longer in my HP OfficeJet 6450. I would get an error in the printer window ' error - print. "  After the reboot after the publication of the initial error, I would get the error "error - sent to the printer.

    What I did:

    As a first step, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software for the printer (complete package with exception of PhotoSmart and HP customer monitoring program).

I also returned to the default setting of network on the printer and repeated the configuration of the network. The connection was finally successful.

    The result disappointing:  I still can't anything to print wireless.

    Go to start > Control Panel > printers and delete all instances of the printer.

    Then re-add the printer:

    2. click on > start > Control Panel > printers.

    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the IP address of the printer. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
    If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file begins with hp and ending with INF. click Open, then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If prompted, use the driver that is currently installed.
