  I want to configure my 1.2 ISE to authenticate (for admin) to active directory. I know it's possible, but our ad is not all groups named for admins.

  Is it possible for the ISE 1.2 to configure a local user ID and compare it to the pub for the password of the user ID?

  I just did this.  First you must have the external configuration of Active Directory as a data source.  Once you do this, click on Administration - Admin Access.

  For the Type of authentication to ensure password database is switched and edit your data source Active Directory (or whatever you named it).

  Then click Administrators - Admin users.  Click Add a user - create an Admin user.  Make sure you check the external box and you will notice that the password field is leaving.  Fill in the appropriate information and then assign them to a group of Directors.

  Once you are done with that you can test the user in you on your ISE session.  You will notice that when you try to log back in you will have the choice of the sources of data used to authenticate the user.  Change the selection in the Active Directory and enter the AD username/password of the newly created account, you should be good to go.

  Make sure that you don't delete or deactivate your original admin account in this process.  (Change the password if you want.)

  Moreover, the keeps installation program invites me to update and there is no way to turn it off. Once the application CC "learned" that it was time to update limits access to menu standards CC app options and you are left abandoned, help, or update. There is no mechanism to stop the CC application notify you several times during the day. Force to leave the app doesn't work that it opens again after some time and reappears in the toolbar. In the future, it would be more user-friendly workflow to allow us to limit notifications and auto app to open even if the application needs to update. Other than that and this error, my CC experience has been great. Thank you.

  Just an update - I have reset my mac wide permissions at one point because I had my mac restart in gray screen, and then the installer worked. I don't know if that had nothing to do with this, but im guessing it CAN be because the restricted permissions were part of the Adobe error message.

  -Easy to maintain

  -Works with the old current computers

  I want to build a virtualized infrastructure Office/kiosk on this site. Here are the products of preliminary tests planned:

  -ESXi 4

  -Ubuntu 9.04

  -New server Dell 2950 - dual xeon heart, 16 GB of ram (specifications can change, not yet purchased)

  VNC - connection

  -Thinstation- http://www.thinstation.org/ to create a VNC client computers

  -A bunch of old computers

  -A few new (not yet purchased) thinclients

  I don't want to ask something specific, just your thoughts. It may be your experience or even your feeling on this type of installation. I want to know how many VMs, I could hope to run like this, limitations, bottlenecks, network requirements, and anything else that I should.

  As it is a public access site, running flash or games are not a concern. Just the possibility to browse the web and use open office.

  Yet once, I'd like some comments on this. I will gladly keep anyone interested posted about how the tests of this system going.

  I rename the file "AcrobatPro9AIP" to reflect the current version (for example, "Acrobat9.4.2"), copy the folder to my DFS, create an STD with the Customization Wizard, and then deploy with group policy.

  I built my installation for acrobat9.4.1, 9.4.0 and 9.3.3 package exactly the same way and facilities did not have this error. The file 'Adobe.Acrobat.Dependencies.manifest' does not exist in my 9.4.1 or 9.4.0 package files, neither exists - it in the 9.4.2 file. Any suggestions?

  File 'Adobe.Acrobat.Dependencies.manifest' is not present in the 9.4.2 AIP created by you and whence the error.

  This file is not getting extracted from your agreement in principle is because you set the PATCHAIP property to 1.

  According to the doc - http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/gpo_ad_9.pdf , no property is required to be used.

  My 9.4.2 AIP is install without any error, because I created it without using the PATCHAIP property.

  Note: you must create your AIP from the beginning (i.e. 9.0) without the help of this property. 9.4.2 applying the patch on the 9.4.0 - AIP-created-by-PATCHAIP property would still result in the same error.

  In short, the problem just remove "PATCHAIP = 1" to your script.

• Admin has no access to the user account

  I have a XP Pro computer where a user profile directory has no access at all to administrators: only for himself and system.

  Is this normal and supported? How can this be achieved?

  When I create a new account on this computer, the profile directory allows access to administrators.

  You could remove rights administrative account to any file or folder on the computer while you could do this for a profile.  If you leave rights system alone, Yes, the built-in backup function still works.

  However, anyone with administrative rights could just as easily give themselves rights of return...

• Update Player 11.0.5 application installation admin

  The 11.0.5 is patch for adobe reader software installs on my admin installation.  I was able to update 11.0.xx to 11.0.4 by applying a patch from a command line.

  The answer is that I myself somehow in the updates of Acrobat, rather than updates of the player.  The Acrobat update was not able to update the installation of drive - duh! on me.

  It will work with my script to install updates in the MSI to the reader.  All is well in the world when you pay attention!

• I can't access ColdFusion 10 Admin

  A few months ago with no problems, I have installed 10 ColdFusion on a Windows Server 2008 R2. I have tested the server since without plugged into the network and had no problems. Yesterday I plugged into our network and everything worked like a charm, except SMTP. I've been troubleshooting SMTP and finally realized this morning that I needed to put SMTP in ColdFusion. I tried to connect to the ColdFusion administrator, and he said it was an "Incorrect password". I have successfully connected to the Admin yesterday several times but not today.

  I ran the passwordreset.bat and choose '1' and then typed in the new password and confirm password then the popup went. I restarted the ColdFusion service then closed the browser and reopen the browser and typed the password and still not received the "Incorrect password".

  Also, I went into the file ' neo - security.xml "and changed the value"true"to"false"Boolean"admin.security.enabled"to enter the admin without password. I was able to connect to the Administrator without password, but when I made a change and click on 'Submit' it does not accept the change, and it gave me an error:

  «It was an error to access this page, check the logs for more details.»

  The log showed the following error:

  "There was an error while checking the token. The session has expired or unauthenticated access is suspected. »

  I don't really know what else to do at this stage, not to mention the re - install ColdFusion which is my last resort on a production server. If anyone has solutions please let me know.

  To the original poster above, reports it receives an error once logged into the Admin, where operations give ' room was error access this page, check the logs for more details. ', there is a work around for this problem.

  Basically, it is a cookie issue duplicate for the session cookie (s) CF. There are a few solutions to this, and I discuss the problem and workarounds in a blog entry that I just created:
