Admin/owner rights lost? How can I fix it?

OK, so my Windows account is labelled owner as it was the only account for a long time. When my boyfriend moved in, he has created his own account and LONG story short, I think he did something for accounts that caused my account behaves like a standard user account, even if she says that I am an administrator. I have more access to many files and I used to have access to folders, I can't make my account or other changes on the computer. I can't change the security on the property for what it is. He is currently incarcerated and I do not have the password of the Windows account. How to regain access to my files and folders with him gone?
