    Hi Steven,

Right-click in the PDF file, go to 'Open with' & choose "Adobe Acrobat XI".

Let me know if the file opens in Adobe Acrobat XI or not.

Also, I would like to know if there is an error.

Internet Explorer won't open PDF in the browser. I can save it to the desktop and then open them well, and they seem open if I use Chrome. Have you tried a few solutions I found on the Web site, but nothing has worked.

You are running Internet Explorer in 64-bit mode?  The Adobe Reader plugin is 32-bit and will not work on a 64-bit browser.

  • Support, latest version of Adobe Flash Player now cannot open PDF files

I loaded Adobe Flash player today and now I'm sorry I did.  When I try to open PDFs on my mac, I get a message to the effect that I need to launch adobe reader, accept the terms of the agreement, exit my browser (safari) and start it again.  When I try to do all this, I can't find a way to accept the terms of adobe.  So, I'm stuck and so frustrated!  Thanks for your help as soon as possible - please talk in plain language I'm not tech savvy.

Launch the player in your Applications folder and accept the agreement. This has NOTHING to do with Flash Player.

  • Thunderbird keeps opening PDFs with LibreOffice

This is despite the parameters clearly say to use the viewer of documents to open PDF files and not libreoffice: http://i.imgur.com/iToznlA.png. How can I fix?

Delete the entry of type of pdf content in Options/accessories (click on the drop-down Action menu), restart TB, open pdf attachments and set the default to opening application by accessing the documents Viewer executable (do not take the list of the apps).

  • Open PDF with Adobe Acrobat DC IE11 gives only save option? How can I open it in the browser?

I am running Acrobat Pro DC, and I can view is no longer a PDF through Internet Explorer 11.  I already follow the recommended steps (make sure that the add-in is enabled), but whenever I click on a PDF link, Acrobat opens and asks me the file to open and the screen in IE goes gray.  The only way I can open a PDF on the internet is to save it, and then open it in Acrobat.

    Hi Lisa,

Just try him even after installing Acrobat Reader DC application.

  • I can no longer open PDFs with Firefox.

I get a blank screen. All started to arrive recently after upgrading to Firefox 9. I now use 11. I tried all the steps of troubleshooting of Firefox and Adobe without success. It works with IE, so it's certainly related somehow to Firefox. If I can't fix it, I might have to give up Firefox, which I really don't want to do. There are too many sites that I need this job. Other thoughts? Thank you.

I think I can have it fixed. If all goes well, it will stay like this. I got an extension, downloadable in PDF format, which I disabled it and now I was able to open a PDF file in three different sites, I've tried. I had this extension for a long time, so don't know why it would suddenly be a problem. For now, I'm thinking it is solved. Will post again if it returns. Thanks to all who tried to help.

  • Safari won't open PDFs in preview

After viewing a pdf document in Safari, I would like to open in preview. Usually I do flying over the lower third of the screen until the dark bar with four icons (perform a zoom, zoom, open in preview, download), and then by clicking on the icon "open in an excerpt. This icon no longer works (for example, the icon will blink once, but nothing happens). Otherwise I try ctrl + click in the window and select "Open with Preview" from the context menu. This no longer works (nothing happens). Can I use file > save as... in Safari, but it's heavy.

I have cleaned/Library/Internet Plug - ins / and User/Library/Internet Plug-ins / all suspicious plugins (including whatever it is labeled Adobe or Silverlight, as well as other things) and relaunched Safari nothing works.

Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be all Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ all Messages

in the list of logs on the left. If you don't see this list, select

List of newspapers seen ▹ display

in the menu at the top of the screen bar.

Click on the clear view icon in the toolbar. Then take an action that does not work the way you expect. Select all of the lines that appear in the Console window. Copy to the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command + V.

The journal contains a large amount of information, almost everything that is not relevant to solve a particular problem. When you post a journal excerpt, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't dump blindly thousands of lines in the journal in this discussion.

Please do not post screenshots of log messages - text poster.

Some private information, such as your name or e-mail address, can appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the journal excerpt, an error message may appear on the web page: "you include content in your post that is not allowed", or "the message contains invalid characters." It's a bug in the forum software. Thanks for posting the text on Pastebin, then post here a link to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please do not select private in exposure menu to paste on the page, because no one else that you will be able to see it.

  • How can I get Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for open PDF files in their own separate windows?

I find it interesting that in support of multiple monitors becomes more standard in operating systems, applications start requiring all documents related in the same window, such that sometimes you have to use Registry hacks to get documents in separate windows to be able to easily compare side-by-side all multiple monitors.

First it was Microsoft Excel... now, it seems that Adobe Reader required documents in a single window.

Although Adobe Reader at least allows you to click on the "Window" menu and choose "New window" to "move" a PDF file in a separate window (quite annoying rather than actually move the tab selected in the new window, it opens another copy, which requires that you always close the first copy in the original window). I prefer the default behavior to automatically open documents in a new window when I double click on it in Windows Explorer to open them.  At least give me a preference option for this...

Does anyone have solutions of (permanent) workaround for this?  I know there are changes in registry for Excel (that I put in place)... I hope it's easier for Adobe Reader.

    Thank you

    Murray

    Hello

Please navigate to Edit > preferences > General > uncheck "open documents as new tabs in the same window(requires restart). > once unchecked please re-launch Reader.

You would not be able to see the documents in separate windows.

  • Adobe prem pro won't open.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the same thing happens, opens fine on the main machine and opened on laptop, but now doesn't open, running windows 10 on both machines.

He starts to open, then says he has encountered a problem and needs to close. I don't have any third party add on is not installed something again and worked fine, but now it seems unable to work, if that had been my only machine I would have been up to a certain watery area without way to navigate.
