Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro and Windows 7 (64-bit)
I got a new computer running Win7 64-bit. I have a copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro, I am getting down to work on the new system. During the installation process, he raised an error by requesting the file adobepdf.dll of Windows Vista. Since I also have a computer running Vista, I was able to locate the necessary file to complete the installation. However, when I try to PDF a website for example, it displays an error to the Task Manager (clock lower). When I check the properties of the Adobe PDF printer, it shows the port as being "LPT1".
I contacted Adobe via online chat, but was directed to the website www.adobe.com/support. There, I could not find anything.
I guess the first question to ask is... Is Windows 7 64 bit & Adobe Pro 8 compatible? If so, what am I doing wrong? If this isn't the case, that answers the question here. When I asked the cat Adobe representative, all they said about the compatibility, is that it has not been tested on Win7, so they don't know.
I tried to make the facility a couple of times / ways. The first time I did the installation, I clicked on Cancel when she asked the file AdobePDF.dll Vista. I got the same results as I did when I found the file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Is there anything I can do to make these work together?
Hello
As Acrobat 6 is a pretty old version, and it probably won't work with windows 7.
There is no possible way to make them work together. Either, you need to update your version of Acrobat that is compatible with windows 7 or downgrade your operating system if you want to stick to Acrobat.
However I recommend to spend in the last DC Acrobat, which is the latest version Adobe has launched and is compatible with the operating system you are using.
In addition, it is loaded with new features that will simplify your work and make it practical.
Here are the links to download Acrobat DC.
If you want the subscription see this - download Acrobat DC (continuous). Company or VIP
And if you want the perpetual version -download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X

How you import a PDF file in Microsoft Office 2007 with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional
I recently downloaded the trial version of Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional and want to import a PDF file in Word and be able to make changes to the document. I know that this can be down with earlier versions of Adobe Acrobat Professional. An advisor to do with version 9?
It just stated that you use Save as to export it in a DOC file. You would then open the DOC file in WORD. You can make minor changes to the PDF directly in Acrobat, but WORD have no capabilities - a totally different PDF editing document structure. As far as Acrobat goes, the process is save it as process. If you ask about WORD, you need to ask in a forum of MS WORD, but the answer is probably that it's impossible. WORD does not translate a PDF to WORD document, although it might allow it as an image.

Mr President
I have windows 7, after creation of the solid color red & gray icon PDF files, but now the icon has changed to adobe acrobat 7 Professional logo, how do I re obtain the icon or the old logo for my PDF files as the previous icon is very easy to identify, also I used acrobat adobe 7 Professional but this problem was not there.
Hi manojp35249311,
Acrobat 7 is not compatible with Windows 7, so it's difficult to judge how the application on an incompatible environment will behave.
Please attach a screenshot so that we can diagnose the problem correctly.

Some time ago I bought Adobe Acrobat 4.0 and aired on a Windows XP laptop. I recently bought another laptop running Windows 7 Professional, but it seems that my version of Adobe Acrobat 4.0 is not compatible with Windows 7. What should I do? Should I purchase an upgrade?
Hi johnindallas,
Yes, you reason as acrobat 4 is not compatible with Windows 7.
Acrobat 4 is a very old version and Adobe no longer provide support for this version.
I suggest you buy the Acrobat DC subscription or license.

The problem is, we want it to continue to be able to use Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional 8, but we also want to be able to pass the license key. Is it possible to do? If so, how?
No, full serial number is not available on the machine itself (or well anyone with access to it could fly).
