  Follow the procedure below:

  • Remove all entries that has name of adobe. Then close the Textedit, it will Autosave.
  • Make sure that there is no entry of Adobe on the inside.
  • Then copy and paste the Hosts file in folder etc.
  • We replace the modified hosts file that we had copied on the desktop with the original Hosts file inside the folder etc.
  • When you are prompted, the authentication by password Mac,
  • Be sure to select the option Replace ...
  • Once you have replaced the Hosts file, double click on it again and check if the Hosts file is free of Adobe entries.

  Then try to activate the CS 6 apps using the serial number, it shud work.

  From what I was told by an employee, newer than 10.7 Mac must subscribe in the cloud instead of buy CS6... and someone with Win10 must also subscribe to the cloud for CS6 is not compatible (meaning that the seller will ask you your operating system and not sell you CS6 if she does not work on your computer...   Your problem is that the program wants a good video card and a fast hard disk and a lot of memory and have in what precedes. If you have upgraded the RAM to 8 GB memory and installed a disc hard solid state, you could do the program usable but the real bottleneck is going to be the Intel HD graphics, which cannot be upgraded.

  You don't have a slot open for add a 4 GB memory module. It is a simple upgrade relatively inexpensive. See here:

  Forgive my ignorance if this has been discussed, but I am running Windows 7, with a processor i7 970 Hexacore, 12 GB of RAM, a GTX 460 (I know that the Mercury playback engine does not support this, for some reason any)... I bought CS5 Production Suite and I'm very psyched on this subject, however, After Effects will not install with the following error code. Can someone help me? (Would be my GPU prevent After Effects install?) I thought that it would simply not be able to use the Mercury playback engine if the card was not supported.)
