Adobe DC prevention

How can I prevent the automatic updates for Adobe Reader? I'm dependent on a Web site that does not support Adobe Reader DC. If Windows restarts my computer that a DC is installed, I have to uninstall it and go somewhere and download and reinstall an earlier version.

Hi David,

Please uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, run the cleanup tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs.

Restart your computer & install Adober Reader using this link Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

And to disable updates please see this KB doc. automatic updates. Acrobat, Reader

  • The installation of Adobe Photoshop prevents Windows to restart

I had trouble installing the new software with Windows 8, but eventually, the issues have been resolved.  But this one has completely mystified me.

I downloaded and installed Adobe Photoshop elements 11 and Prime Minister 11 Adobe elements. After installation, I opened both programs and all seemed well.  But, by following the instructions, I restarted my computer.  I should say "attempted to restart.  After a few minutes, he told me he was diagnose my computer and then it was fixing the problem.  After a few minutes, he told me he couldn't fix it and gave me a few options.  I chose to restore to a previous state where he worked.  Of course, the windows open and my newly installed programs disappeared.  I have re-installed the same problem at least 4 times with different attempts to resolve the problem.  I talked to Adobe (they concluded it was a problem of BONE) and read MS Web sites until my eyes are painful.
The Adobe Setup log indicates no error and, indeed, I had no problems during installation. The SrtTrail.txt file will not display any errors until the end when he gives this information completely useless: "unspecified changes to the system configuration may have caused the problem."  Now this seems to point to Adobe make the changes and I don't have a clue how to prevent changes.
I'm almost to the point of accepting that I lost over $ 1200 with the computer and the software and buy a Mac.

When you download the Setup file of Adobe, if it's a .exe file and not in a .msi file, you can right click on the file and select run as administrator.  This is what I refer when I mention, "may specify that you right click on the actual Setup.exe and select the option"Run As Administrator "?  And even if your username is an administrator? »

Right click and "run as Administrator" option give the privileges as opposed to a user installing ordinary admin who really only equal to a standard user privileges, believe me.

Run as administrator - in Windows 8

Start over with a new installation of Windows, and then installing the Adobe programs first place before anything, including updates of Windows, can be the only way you get these Adobe programs installed if everything else fails to do the job.  You won't lose too much if the machine is only one week other than time and effort.  If you can't get Adobe in this way (a new clean Windows installation), then you will ever do in until Adobe come up with a solution.

  • How can I give feedback to Adobe?  What is somebody listening?

I periodically find situations in the use of Adobe products where I can't imagine why the product or service is set up or work in a particular way.  When I go to the Adobe web site there is no avenue for your comments.  I wonder, Adobe makes it difficult to give feedback because he does not want to hear of a very loyal customer?

Today, for example, I got a message to update Adobe Acrobat Reader.  This sent all kinds of attention signals in my mind because of past experiences. (see explanation below)  So I decided to give feedback using a feedback on the update button.  Feedback assumed that I already made the update because he asked me to give a general impression of my experience.  So I stopped here and proceeded first with the update.  However, when I completed the update, the feedback button had disappeared.  Why?  Because the last step in the update process was restarted.  Once I restarted, I could not find a feeback mechanism anywhere in the web pages of Adobe.

So here is my comments on this specific experience.

    1. make a feedback mechanism appears after starting in a manner similar to the message asking me to update.

2 and now the feedback that I wanted to send Adobe.  Prevent 3rd party companies to send messages "update" for Adobe Acrobat.

Explanation: even if it didn't happen recently, in the few years I received several times a message from Adobe update I guess now came from Google instead of Adobe.  I think it's from Google because I kept receiving the message, even after the update has been completed.  More importantly, after the update I discovered that Google Chrome has been installed.  I don't really like Chrome.  He messes with and control a lot of things on my computer that I won't take place.  For example, after the discovery of Google Chrome on my computer I uninstalled it. But then I found the spare part and sent me emails don't are more people forward would open when I clicked on the web page to the e-mail addresses.  I got were blank pages with some sort of message 'sorry '.  So I searched the Internet for an hour and finally found a helpful soul who explained how to decipher the Google Chrome uninstall problem.  Get this, first I had to install Foxfire and then do it, not Internet Explorer, be primary.  Later in the process, I was able to go back to Internet Explorer as primary. There was much more involved, but the result has been a success.  My conclusion, two hours of time lost after update of a product from a company, that I totally respect Adobe Reader.

Please tell Adobe to stop letting companies use third-party it is update mechanisms.  Not knowing is not with certainty if the update comes from Adobe or another company's real incentive to ignore messages from update, which, in turn, means that the product in question becomes less effective.

    Thanks for listening.

Adobe does not send 'messages' product updates, or it leaves 3-parties do it.  Most likely, you have received spam that tries to trick you in downloading other software or malware.

Software Adobe have their own mechanisms for updating, and most of them can be enabled or disabled by the user.

  • Connect to the internet and try again

    Hello

I cannot connect to my Photoshop elements 12 and then updated using PDAPP.exe 12.1.  The error I get told that I'm not connected to the internet or my clock is incorrect.  None of them are true.  I was chatting with Adobe for about 5 hours and spoke to them for about 3.  They still refuse to solve my problem, it's an ISP issue.  I informed that he isn't, but they believe that it is. (I talked to my ISP and I am a network technician, I followed the packages all the way to Adobe and this is where the traffic stops.)  See the output below. "Why servers adobe would prevent me to activate a 12 items legally bought?  Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?

P.S. I checked the hosts file, used different Admin accounts, moved the files, receive permissions to other files (things that I consider very insecure, but I'll for now).

    I solved the problem:

Adobe activation servers use a former Monogram Microsoft advised against using because FREAK vulnerability.  I applied a policy that stopped the Monogram cannot be used.  After Microsoft has released an update of the last week, I removed the policy as it was supposed to be safe, and now I can activate.

If Adobe, with the time and update your monograms.  Also, stop blaming it on my ISP, because I can't yet go to the web page of activate.adobe.com, but I'm activated.  Stop trying to pass the blame.

    Cannot install dreamweaver cs6

My problem is now solved , but I'll never really know what it was.

Because I did two things at once: I downloaded again CreativeCloudSet up.exe and, as with the CD install usually stopped during the installation of the Adobe help, I deleted the file "Adobe Help" from my computer and finally here's the installation worked.

Corrupted file or folder "Help Adobe" that prevented the installation?

In any case this kept me busy.

ABSOLUTELY NOT SAFE to OPEN !

Adobe never, repeat never, repeat once again sends never updates software via e-mail with a. ZIP file or with any other attachment or elsewhere, with a URL pointing to a so-called upgrade. Adobe upgrade notifications are the Adobe itself. You can leave Adobe own update to update your software or you can manually check, download and apply the updates to the Adobe software via the own Adobe Web site.

Here is the procedure to disable DEP in Vista: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/120778-dep-enable-disable.html.  Make sure that you are logged on as administrator.  Reboot after disabling.  Retry the installation of Adobe.  If it works, turn on DEP and restart to replace the protection of your system.

  • Adobe Captivate Widgets prevent the timeline stops.

I noticed a problem with Adobe Captivate Widgets after the Flash play updated to 20.0.0.286. Captivate bars 8.0 and 9.0, Adobe Captivate Widget (and customer bars) prevent the timeline to play and objects on the timeline do not appear on the scene (slide).

Is there a fix for widgets? If there is no solution, which is a workaround for a widget reading/navigation bar?

I don't know if there is an easy solution for widgets that do not work with Flash 20 but if it turns that there is no solution, then the solution will be to create your own navigation using standard interactive objects such as buttons, and then click boxes, or preference buttons smart shape on slide master.
