  Your photos are stored on your hard drive.  At least that - during the uninstall process - you check a box (I don't think there is) to remove images - they will be stored on your hard drive in the s place x even as they were before.

  I have the original copy of the first Adobe Elements 8 with CD and the appropriate series number; However, when I try to load on my computer, it won't hold through with the installation.  I am running Windows 7 software with more of available space.  Please assist in this endeavour.

  The download, it's what you do to get a file from a Web site to your computer... The installation is what you do to have the installation files, put a program on your computer and link it to your operating system

  A few years ago I bought online Premeiere Adobe Elements 4.0. It was installed on an old computer that was then upgraded. The old hard drive was put in the new machine to store and access to old files. I went on this drive and run the Setup file to install it on the new disk. When I started the program on the new installation then I get the message "too many activations. I uninstalled and then ran the old version to try to disable. The program began, but then also gave me the message "too many activations. So now I am unable to disable anything as I can't in any installation program to do!. Despite being an older version, it is a program perfectly although I paid, but cannot be used. Have you tried the convoluted forums, but couldn't find anything specific for this.   Did you check help-> updates to see if they are available? You probably don't have the latest version of Camera Raw that was compatible with Photoshop elements 12 installed.

  You can download as many times as you want, you can install and activate 2 times

  Depending on your version of the program and the Mac operating system, you may or may NOT be able to install this OLD program on a NEW operating system

  Once you have registered the product, you should not see the banner of 'Trial' on NEW projects. This isn't the case, right? You only see on the project that you created before you register the product, right?

  That said, to remove the banner, go to the folder of directory on your hard drive where your project PREL files are stored and delete the folder called Adobe Premiere elements preview files.

  I don't think that there is any such path upgrade to Lightroom. Lightroom can work with Photoshop Elements or Photoshop as a complementary product to improve and provide features that are not possible in Lightroom itself. For example, with Lightroom, it is extremely difficult if not impossible to remove unwanted objects from an image. Or, there may be sometimes a few necessary dusting that Lightroom cannot do just effectively on its own. If Lightroom offers an easy way to move from Photoshop or Photoshop Elements image in order to more easily accomplish some of these specialized tasks.
