  • Adobe Flash Player stop asking to install.

I use windows 7 and Mozilla firefox, but this problem occurs even when I do not have a browser window open.

Adobe flash player quit asking to install. probably once a minute, I get a request (UAC) to allow adobe flash player to install. Even with no browser windows open. EVEN WHILE I'M WATCHING FLASH VIDEOS, he tells me to install it. He literally interupts everything I do, even when I'm not browsing the internet.

I currently completely uninstalled it AFAIK. I used uninstaller from adobe available on this site. So there is no flash player or shockwave player installed on my computer... continues to receive this request every minute or so.

    This is ridiculous.

I tried to run a virus scan, because it's the only thing that I could possibly think would this irritating, and it says that my computer is clean.

Is there some secret files somewhere that I have to delete? I think to delete the activex installation files. I get "entry in the service of installation ActiveX (AxInstSV) the report being run." in my event viewer, that seem to coincide with this problem.

I finally got it fixed but I'm not sure what fixed it.

    Here's what I did:

    Uninstalled all browsers.

    Uninstalled all things Adobe.

    Uninstalled Java

Delete whatever it be left behind (I left stuff browser well because I wanted to save my password and other).

disabled activexsvinst or something of service. The activex Installer service.

    Used CC cleaner clean registry

Made sure to delete almost everything in user/local/temp and other records (where java and adobe store stuff usually.) I don't know maybe want to be careful to make this cause, I don't know if there is any important files. Also some records will not let you delete it but it just means that you must go to the folder and select then delete. The only file that must be in one of the records in thosetemp is like fxsapidebug or something, in my opinion).

    restarted

    run CC cleaner.

    restarted

not sure if that helped, but I also used HIJACKTHIS and uninstalled some aides of browser that was not deleted. In particular, there was an adobe one I think. Can't really remember tho. Now that I look at hijackthis it again, he couldn't was this because the browsers help stuff is still there.

I also ran about 500000000 virus scans with several scanning programs and none of them does not detect it.

I reinstalled Mozilla and flash and have not had any problems since.

Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.

    Hello

1 you get an error message after windows Internet Explorer and Firefox is closed during installation?

    Method 1:

    (a) download Adobe Flash Player: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    (b) to open the Task Manager and terminate all process of Firefox and Internet Explorer.

How to use the Task Manager:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/323527

    (c) install Flash Player.

Method 2: Boot your system in clean boot mode and install Flash Player.

Important: After you use the clean boot in order to solve your problem follow the steps in the "steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state" section to start your system in normal mode.

  • Adobe Flash Player update. Why I don't see tube you videos with Firefox?

I had this problem for a week now. I can hear the videos but not see images. I went into plugins and update of Adobe Flash Player, but it did not help. Restarted, etc. To return to the form on the page that it is said still Adobe reader must be updated on my windows xp, Adobe said it is up to date. Perhaps this is related to why I can't watch the videos?

From Firefox 40, YouTube uses many Windows XP users another drive, the HTML5 player. In order to confirm what player is used on the page, you can right click on the video and check the last line of the quick menu (context menu) that appears. (If the menu of Firefox crashes, press and release the Alt key to display the menu of the player.)

Assuming you get the menu black having HTML5 in the last line, that's your problem. So... what to do about it. Here are two possible solutions:

    (1) use an add-on to force YouTube to serve you the Flash Player

There are at least two extensions to do this, you only need:

    (2) use an add-on to tell YouTube that you're still under Firefox 39

    (A) install the https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ua-site-switch/ extension which certainly has a confusing interface.

    (B) select and copy the old identification of user agent for Firefox 39:

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:39.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/39.0

    (C) while on a youtube.com page, click on the small triangle of drop down menu to au-site-switch and paste the old and then user agent string press ENTER to save it

    (D) may reload YouTube without going through files cached (Ctrl + Shift + r)

E repeat B & C on https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/ to apply the hack for embedded videos

  • When you try to watch a video, I wonder Get Adobe Flash Player. I charge it but nothing appears in the column size in the list of installed pargrams.

    Thank you all

Wow, these are all accidents just of singular everything off in the memory of the garbage.  Something certainly won't, but I'm pretty confident that it is specific to your machine.

Here is where I would start.  I think we should take Flash completely, scan your disk for corruption and fix anything find us, restart, then proceed to reinstall.

1.), do manual uninstall for Flash to make sure it's really clean.

If you cannot remove some of these manually, the disk is damaged.  Do step 2 and then come back and do it again.

How to do a 'clean' Flash Player installation in Mac OS X

2.) see the section "try disk utility:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT203176

While you're there, choose repair file system permissions (check frequently back clean, but then repair will always fix a lot of problems).

3.) reboot the machine (for real, just to eliminate any possibility that something remained stuff Flash in use)

It's pretty weird for what it's worth diagnostics hardware running on the computer.  You may just have a baguette flaky RAM.

OS X El Capitan: use the Diagnostics of Apple or Apple Hardware Test

  • Flash Player keeps asking to update

    Hello

I posted this question before, but after a lot of additional information, I didn't get anything in a few weeks.

You can view the previous thread here: http://forums.Adobe.com/message/4563117#4563117

I'm still bothered by this problem of having the Windows 7 security shield icon will flash constantly. When I click the icon, I wonder if I want to install the Flash update. I chose no, it disappears, but then 5 min later I get the same flashing icon with Flash asking to update.

The problem is that the last Flash break of Nuance's Dragon Naturally Speaking, I went back to version 10.3 of Flash. You can read the entire saga in the previous message.

A solution to this problem would be very nice.

    Barry.

It is possible that an another application/utility requires a version level higher, prompting the CAB Installer to download.  For the problem of the root (dragon speaking naturally hangs), you might want to try upgrading to 11.3.300.268, published today, to see if you are still having accidents.

  • Installed Adobe Flash Player update and now get the security warning message

On each page on that I click I get the warning following pop box IE. A website wants to open web content outside of protected mode. This program will open outside of protected mode". The Web site, whether is Adobe Flash Player.  I can't get rid of the pop up if I click on allow.  I can click on don't allow not, but for every thing I'm in, I get this pop up warning window.  I do not think that I have to click on "don't show me this message again" that I should?

I asked this question on the Adobe forum, and while a lot of people have looked at my question, I did not get all the answers.  I also went to support at Microsoft and found this problem.  The only difference is that the problem is for Vista and I have Windows 7.  Otherwise, it's exactly the same thing.  He said to check for a fix.  I clicked the button to fix, but then he said that it was not available.  I don't understand.  First he said it was, but when I clicked it, it said that it was not.  Is it because I have Windows 7 and not Vista?

As you can probably, I'm not the sharptest knife in the drawer when it comes to computer problems so I could sure use some help.  I also installed all updates latest IE.  That did not help.  I would like just to uninstall Adobe Flash Player but don't have many programs need?  I you could use some help here.  Thank you.

    Sandee

I tried to follow your steps as carefully as I could.  I'm sorry to report that it did not work.  What I finally had to do was to make a back up and restore.  I backed up before 3 days, which was a bunch of Windows updates.  I probably lost all updates but guess what - the warning box has disappeared.

Thank you very much for taking the time & than give me such clear instructions, step by step.  The fact that you tried is appreciated by me.

  • Cannot install Adobe Flash Player on Firefox

    Hello

I already had the Adobe Flash Player version 11 on my PC. Now, I tried to update the plugin and I tried to install Adobe Flash Player 20 on my PC with Windows XP, SP2, 32-bit version, Firefox and Panda anti-virus. I disabled the antivirus and it still will not be installed.

Initially, I got the "Connection failed" message when I tried to install downloaded Adobe Flash Player by clicking twice. Now when I go to the Adobe website and download the Flash Player version 20, nothing happens when I double click on the downloaded Adobe Flash Player.

How can I get the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed and works on my PC to watch videos or do I have to go back to older versions of Adobe Flash Player?

    Thank you.

I have the same problem on one of my machines and similar settings. Maybe it's because we are still in Service Pack 2 for XP. According to this site: Adobe Flash Player | Technical specification understand the system requirements for Windows XP SP3 (see 2nd point to the needs of Windows). However, this page is not dated, nor the version number specified, so I do not know if the requirement of SP3 was just to publish for Flash Player v20, or if it has been the 'official' requirement for a while now. I know that a previous version (19.0.0.226) works on my SP2 system, so you can try and install it (even if she is no longer the safer version). I almost never run flash more, except on a small handful of sites that require it (and which I used for years). I also have my settings flash on "Ask to activate" on the page of Firefox plugins, so I have to enable it explicitly whenever a site wants to run flash. Many sites want to run flash for animation of advertising, so it actually speeds things upwards when I do not allow it to run on those.

I play with other settings on this computer to see if I can get the v20 installation program to run (if so, I will post it here), but we have just upgraded to SP3 if we want the latest version of flash. I held off upgrading the operating system for a long time on this machine, and I can finish just retire it in any case. For what it's worth, v20 FlashPlayer installed without problems on my Win7 machine.

When I clicked top asking you sure you want to install the application so I have as usual and then nothing happens, the downloaded file is not displayed, I repeat is not working...

Help please? (Sorry for my bad English I'm french)

  • Adobe Flash Player 32-bit to 64-bit system?

I have Windows Vista 64 bit OS but I use IE9 32-bit browser.  However, I mainly use Firefox.  I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (11.6.602.168) installed; I followed all the instructions on the help page - disable active x filtering, updating the drivers, disabled hardware acceleration, etc.  I want to know is should I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player 32-bit even though I have a 64 bit OS?  Flash player keeps freezing upwards.  I need to change my global settings?

    I think it's this thing:

    uninstall_flash_player.exe

I've been using one from last fall, & he

is a new version;  the old version seems to leave

in a partially State software installed that don't

allow the installer to work, while the new program uninstaller

    delete completely & installers can

    then move forward.
