Adobe Flash Player Security message

Hello

I created the html page and on this page, I opened an animation flash (Captivate 4).

When I open the movie, I get the following error message:

error.gif

I need to send the code html + movie and I want to assure you that this message, is it possible to do?

Thank you

Merav.

Hello

If others will get the message will depend on the method you use to present the content.

If you copy the content to a web server, and they will be see on the internet, the message should not appear and everything should be good.

If you copy the contents of a CD-ROM, it is possible that they would find the message. But there is a workaround to prevent it.

See you soon... Rick

I am aware of the fix for this but I need help to understand a few things:

    1. Why some users to access the guest and others not?
    2. Why is the process of the application of the different fix for some users?
    3. How can we ensure proactively that the masses will not get this message when we're ready to release the product/service?

    History

We prepare to deploy a new product or service, so a small team of computer science have been video creating using e-Learning Suite.  Before we roll the final product of our users they wanted to confirm that the videos were playing very well.

People with e-Learning response indicated having received the Adobe Flash Player Security prompt (see below) when they tried to play one of the videos they've created.

    Flash_WithSpaces.png

My first thought was maybe the spaces had something to do with it, so I made a copy of another file (which was also having the same problem) & deleted all spaces, but the problem persisted. (See below)

    Flash_WithoutSpaces.png

I sent them some instructions on how to fix...

    FlashSecurityFix1.png

But on another machine, the person said was their process is quite different:

    • "Click on settings...".
    • Go to the Advanced tab
    • Click check now
    • When you click check now, it should bring you to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ , do remain.
    • Right-click on the text of the Version information - it should bring up a contextual menu
    • Select "global settings".
    • Click on the tab 'Advanced' in the Flash Player Settings Manager window resulting
    • Scroll to Developer Tools and click on "settings... trusted location:
    • Click "Add folder...". »
    • Select your drive APTUBE
    • Confirm
    • Close windows and restarting playback of the video.

Once again, I and several others (the majority) do *not* security message; The video loads and plays very well.  Yet, the group that created the video receive this prompt.

We want to ensure that it is not not a general configuration problem which will result in several hundreds of our help desk calls when announce us it!

I think you'll find that you're talking to a combination of people with the standard version of Flash Player, and people with the installed Flash Player debugger.  Looks like you have the installed Flash Player debugger.

You can check in the section 'Find the type of Flash Player version and capacity' on this page:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/find-version-Flash-Player.html

The debugger comes with Flash Professional and Flash Builder.  Professional Flash shipped as part of Adobe eLearning Suite.

When you are creating Flash content, we ask you to do strange things with local files.  We also show you popup errors ActionScript.  For the average end user, we tighten the security down and remove us all these messages to provide the smoothest experience possible.

I recommend that you install and test with Google Chrome, just like a convenience thing.  It comes with it's own version of Flash Player delivered it.  This makes it nice for the test, because you have an easy way to keep a version of the player installed, while retaining the debugger in other browsers to facilitate analysis and content creation.

You can always uninstall the debugger and return to a target release of Flash Player to Flash Player uninstall and download the most recent from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer

    Uninstall instructions:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

If you are not debugging Flash content on your system, the release player is MUCH faster.  You want to use it for general web surfing.

So back to this error message.  Looks like your customers are going to see that the current state of things, and you'll definitely want to fix front of ship.  You can confirm by checking with a browser with installed release player (Chrome).

Flash Player is saying that you try to run a SWF (compiled Flash animation), but the SWF file runs out of your local file system and called a network API.

When you compile a SWF file, you can define how this SWF behaves when run from the local file system.  It can a.) Talk to the Internet or b). Access local files.  You cannot cross the river.  This prevents a malicious user to read information from your machine and sending it to themselves.

I'm pretty sure that if you recompile the SWF, but go to file > publication settings > Security local playback and set of access network only, the error message will disappear for people with versions of Flash Player.

  • When you try to update Adobe Flash Player, the message says no found ActionList.

When I try to watch videos on the CNN homepage, it tells me that the video is optimized for flash player 10, and when I click on the appropriate buttons to download, it tells me "not found ActionList.

There are two versions of Flash, one for IE (ActiveX) and another (Plugin) that is used by other browsers, like Firefox. I don't see the Flash plugin in your list of installed plugins.

    1. download the file of configuration Flash from here:

    Adobe Flash - Plugin version.

    Save it to your desktop.

    2. close Firefox using file > exit

Then check the Task Manager > processes tab to make sure that firefox.exe is closed.

    {XP: Ctrl + Alt + Delete, processes tab =}

    3. then run the Flash configuration from your desktop file.

Also, I checked some flash banners and disabled options above for test and they worked very well even when

I'm not with the use of flashplayer ExternalInterface throwing these alerts also

    Help, please

You did evidence for you to replace this securioty alert, you must add the location to this second interface.  For example, you could add 'C:\Documents and Settings\George\Desktop' to that list empty lcurrently.

That security applies to the use of local files.  So if you have this file deployed on the internet, people have not the problem you are experiencing.

  • Adobe Flash Player Security Error

I use Linkinus, an IRC Client for mac. Whenever someone post a youtube link, the client has a feature where he joined the video within the program. However, I get the following error when someone publishes the video link.

  • Installed Adobe Flash Player update and now get the security warning message

On each page on that I click I get the warning following pop box IE. A website wants to open web content outside of protected mode. This program will open outside of protected mode". The Web site, whether is Adobe Flash Player.  I can't get rid of the pop up if I click on allow.  I can click on don't allow not, but for every thing I'm in, I get this pop up warning window.  I do not think that I have to click on "don't show me this message again" that I should?

I asked this question on the Adobe forum, and while a lot of people have looked at my question, I did not get all the answers.  I also went to support at Microsoft and found this problem.  The only difference is that the problem is for Vista and I have Windows 7.  Otherwise, it's exactly the same thing.  He said to check for a fix.  I clicked the button to fix, but then he said that it was not available.  I don't understand.  First he said it was, but when I clicked it, it said that it was not.  Is it because I have Windows 7 and not Vista?

As you can probably, I'm not the sharptest knife in the drawer when it comes to computer problems so I could sure use some help.  I also installed all updates latest IE.  That did not help.  I would like just to uninstall Adobe Flash Player but don't have many programs need?  I you could use some help here.  Thank you.

    Sandee

I tried to follow your steps as carefully as I could.  I'm sorry to report that it did not work.  What I finally had to do was to make a back up and restore.  I backed up before 3 days, which was a bunch of Windows updates.  I probably lost all updates but guess what - the warning box has disappeared.

Thank you very much for taking the time & than give me such clear instructions, step by step.  The fact that you tried is appreciated by me.

  • I get a message that ADOBE FLASH PLAYER wants my permission to ALLOW or DENY

    original title: bendgee

I am running windows xp sp3 and said I have nneded ADOBE FLASH PLAYER for a site. Whenever I want to watch a snippet or open any site online, I get a message that ADOBE FLASH PLAYER wants my permission to ALLOW or DENY consent to store some of their information on my computer. As you can guess I have continues to choose to REFUSE the scrolling message will stay on my screen and let me not choose anything else so I have to close this window.

Can someone tell me WHY and HOW can I stop this because it's really annoying?

    Bendgee

When the Adobe Flash Player version 10.3.181.14 was released he installed the Flash Player Settings Manager in Control Panel.  Local storage settings can be managed through this console. There are three options Allow, ask before using local storage and block. It seems that your computer is configured for the second option. The stored data are called asa Flash cookie and like other cookies contains information about your preferences for the display of a particular site. They can be removed in the Advanced settings tab or when the removal of the browser history to the Internet Explorer.

Prior to version 10.3 these parameters should then be taken online by going directly to the global settings page or by accessing it by right click on a flash video and selecting settings(you can still do). Selection of the global settings will open the Flash Player settings manager in Control Panel. In addition, prior flash cookies have not eliminated by using delete browsing history via the Internet Options options or Security in Internet Explorer. Microsoft and Adobe have collaborated to integrate this feature in IE.

As there are too many other factors to include in the topic of this thread, please refer to the following:

I constantly had the message "security settings would allow me to run this file. The information bar, said, "check the internet options for possible conflicks." At the end of the day, I followed several Adobe troubleshooting instructions. I went in confidence and security level sites and I tried to change the setting of medium-high in the Middle, each time the cursor back to medium-high heat. I use Mac OS X El Capitan. After asked by C-Span to install Adobe Flash Player, I could watch their video streams. A lttlle later when I tried to re - open Safari from the dock, he was motionless. I went to the Finder and got this message. That is what it is?

I recently installed Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11 - 11.4.402.265 and when I open my Mozilla Firefox browser I get this message flashing on my screen: "Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working" and then "Windows is checking for a solution"

It flashes several times then stops usually but not always.

It happens every time I try to open a new page.

I solved this problem by uninstalling Adobe Flash Player 11 and install Adobe Flash Player 10.3. However, now my IE browser again wants me to install Adobe Flash Player 11. Although I do not often use my IE browser, I DON'T have to use sometimes. Is there a Firefox 15.0 update to fix this problem?

First of all, the Flash of the IE is totally different than the flash used in Firefox. You can update one without affecting the other.

Now, there is a problem right now with Flash 11.3 and 11.4 in Firefox. Downgraded to 10.3 is an acceptable solution for the moment. Adobe publishes the updates (slowly) that solve the problems, but it is not a matter of time before they are all fixed.

  • can not reinstall the adobe flash player. Error message "brccmctl close"?

I can't reinstall my adobe flash player.  I get a close message to the suite of programs, internet explore and brccmctl.  I closed the intern. exp., but I do not know what brccmctl is.  Help, please.  THN u

    @green13,.

I understand that Adobe Flash will not update because of brccmctl.

Have you tried HardBeatZ suggestions to search for the program?  The program that brccmctl means is ControlCenter3 which is software for Brother printers printing.

By chance, you are using a Brother printer?  If so, you can ensure that any process of brother ended in the Task Manager (right click on the taskbar to get the Task Manager).

The simplest option may be temporarily disable startup programs to update Adobe and then re-enable startup prorams.  This can be done by going to start, search for msconfig, the opening of this result and uncheck the startup items.  Once installed Adobe, go back to msconfig to activate startup programs.

    Let me know what happens.
