  You need to install the Verdana font on your computer family (in the "System/Fonts" folder). All members of four of the members of the Verdana font family must be installed on your machine & in the active state.

  I couldn't find a similar thread with similar solutions, then we are, about 2 months ago, my Adobe Illustrator CC stopped opening. It starts up and displays the splash screen but then stops everything in "Reading Fonts" (see image below)

  I had not changed anything or downloaded everything I know and I thought it would start working again, but alas.

  I have a MacBook Pro (15 inch, late 2011) race Yosemite 10.10.1

  Things I've tried so far the problem:
  Uninstalled / reinstalled twice.

  Restarted my computer a million times.

  Cleared cache folders according to other suggestions from forums.

  Reset the system fonts and remove all the fonts in the system (by font book, if there is another way to solve the question police please let me know)

  Please help if you can, I'm at a total loss.

  It's weird seriously: even if you create file PDF Compatible unchecked, you should be able to save in PDF format.

  Maybe there's something corrupt, so the list may be worth trying:

  You try to open a document to a newer version?

  If so, you should get a downsaved version instead. Even if it was saved with PDF compatibility you'd lose probably important editability.

  Weird... I have never seen it before. I resaved the file, and it continues to be. I see no option "create PDF Compatible file" when you simply store a file HAVE...  I'm not trying to make a PDF!

  I did the same procedure that connects the other files HAVE in this file ID and it works as usual. Just that's the one. And it seems not particularly different from what I do every day...

  I finally made a PDF of the AI and placed in InDesign. But whenever I have to update the AI... Well, you know. It's just not the right way to do it.

  My personal opinion on the subject as I use Photoshop a lot myself, to be able to use Photoshop or any other software design to its full potential, you will need a separate video card and not using the video card to integrate it.  Embed the video card is usually simple and have the basic features, options to work but not many advance options that use Photoshop and other graphic design software.
  With this in mind and consider how not expensive video card today, you can easily find the one that, around $ 50 and can do the job better than your integrated video card.  Not to mention it will release memory for your system to be tied up with integrated video cards.

  After 4 months of trying to figure out what adobe Illustrator still does not work. It crashes when I try to click on a file or when I try to open a new.   Illustrator usually needs a printer. If none is there, install a PDF printer.
