  What operating system is running your 12 items first? Have you updated to 12 to 12.1 update using Help Menu/implementation of an open project? If this isn't the case, please do.

  For your immediate problem, did you update Online Services in the preferences?

  Where are you in the program when you get the message "failed to initialize the services online.

  You are in a country outside of the USA?

  There are some online services that are simply not available outside the United States.

  In PE9, I see that many executives to the timeline appear empty. the frame clip transitions has images.   How can I change this to see all images?  In PE 2 I never had the "feature."  I guess most are empty to reduce the handling of files, etc.   But I would like to turn the frame power custom images.

  PS when I imported a short series of minutes 8 clips direct from my sony HD camera timeline frames were complete... but most video I use is old analogously conversions of tapes on DVD... that imported for editing PE files from dvd.

  There are several choices for the display of the thumbnail of the image. These are available from the video track in the timeline view Mode header. In my version of the GER, one has the choice of first, all and none (which displays the name of the element). PrPro, it is also first & last. This view could be added to the PrE 9.

  I am very new to Adobe Premiere elements 3 I was necessary to the understanding of the aspects of it for my new job. One of the aspects that I want to look at is the ability to add in subtitles. So, for example, I have some excerpts from DVD that was cut with no current subtitles (in about 2-3 minutes each) and was hoping to add captions to accompany the narration for those who have hearing difficulties. Is it possible through first elements 3? If so someone might be good enough to let me know how?

  If you have installed additional content (separate downloadable file separately or DVD), you should have a lot (not sure the casual count) titles of lower third. Also, you can create according to your needs. Usually with subtitles, the design is very clean and simple, so there is not much "design work" required. However, you might want to do something simple, such as adding a form to give good contrast for text and also to keep the details of the underlying video it clutter.

  A tip, I like to keep any title text on the screen about 1.5 x as long as it takes to read it.

  With real subtitles (as created from SCC files in yet), I find that too, too fast to really allow the Viewer to read. I hate when that happens.

  There is no link between the Premiere Elements and Adobe Creative Cloud. Elements is not part of the cloud. The cloud contains CC Pro first, not elements.

  If you have a problem dl'g, you don't follow all 7 steps.  the most common mistake is not meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).
