Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 - CPU

Hello everyone,

Please help me with this if anyone knows...

I have a HD file about 50 min its avi 1080p25 and I wanted to visit .mpg2 quality and when I run the rendered file my CPU leased to 96C I don't think it's healthy. I don't understand where is the problem.

My system:
Adobe CS5 PR 5.3
I7 980 x Extreme
24 GB Ram
Rampage iii extreme
sold disk for system files

1 TB for project files
1 final for out to put files.

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

For the CPU temperature monitoring, I really like "CPUID Hardware Monitor Pro" and is currently using the paid version 1.11.0 (cheap, can use trail version free).

To stock speeds and a cooler H70, you should be cooler from 25 to 30 degrees, if something seems wrong.

As we continue suggests, check your thermal grease (NOW!) and also look for any mechanical problems that could keep your heatsink sitting comfortably and squarely on your CPU.

Good luck!

Jim

    Description of the problem:

I got a bunch of MOV files on a disk formatted HFS + for editing on Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3). When I import to Premiere, first said "Codec missing or unavailable. Paragon HFS + is used to manage the disk formatted HFS +. I copied the data to a disc formatted NTFS before use.

Research, I gave the following indications:

I tried to play in Quicktime and Quicktime said that I would need additional software to play the .mov file. But I could run the detective movie and it shows "XDCAM EX 1080i 50 (35 Mb/s VBR).

VLC plays (!) and says it's a "video Mpeg 1/2 (xdvc)"

    MediaInfo said "MPEG video (XDCAM).

The sound is PCM (L) according to inspector mov programs.

The MPEG2 format seems to be supported by first (also in HD), forum entries tell me that I should be in version 5.0.2 as it Adobe supports the MOV container. So now my question: what am I missing?

I have no idea on the camera used to film, but it could be a JVC, as it says that the JVC writes mov files.

    OK, let's go:

    1. Get an accumulation of static electricity of FFmpeg here: FFmpeg Windows builds of HawkEye. The 32-bit version is fine.
    2. Open the file from archive downloaded and go to the folder "bin"; ffmpeg.exe extract to a folder containing your SBDAs.
    3. Create a new text document in the folder with FFmpeg and the media, called 'mov2mp4.bat' files by making sure that you change the .txt extension to. bat.
    4. Open the text document and paste the following text:
      @ECHO OFF
      for %%a in (*.mov) do ffmpeg.exe -i "%%a" -vcodec copy -an -f mp4 "%%~na".mp4

    5. Save the document (even once, ensuring, it has a .bat extension), double-click it in the Explorer. The batch file runs and every MOV in the file processing and repackaging it in a MP4 container. It is lossless (there is no transcoding) and should go relatively quickly. Note that this is not also copy the audio, so you do not have the video files only. The resultant MP4s will perfectly be important in first.

Let me know how it goes!

  • How can I capture video on a dvd disk in Adobe Premiere Pro Cs5?

Hello! I'm an amateur, I'm trying to restore a video on a vhs tape in first Pro Cs5.  I have Pinnacle Studio 14 Pro, Moviebox Plus USB hardware, Sony dvd player software and a Panasonic VCR.  I have captured vhs for Pinnacle Studio 14 Pro video and burned on a dvd.  I connected the Moviebox Plus to my computer via usb and connected at the entrance and exit for my Sony dvd player.  I opened the first Pro Cs5 and went to the file and clicked on the capture.  I push the game on dvd player and nothing happened in the capture window.   I noticed at the top of the window to capture were some info.  The news said: "the Capture device is in offline mode.   I went in first Pro Cs5 to edit and preferences.  I changed the brand of the Sony device and the Type of device to the standard.   So far, nothing has been captured.   I would like to know how I can solve this problem.  I know it's a lot of information, but it's the only way to assert my setup and what has been done.   Thank you.

    Gerald SR.

The simple way is with the DVD in the optical drive of your computer, use Explorer to navigate to the Video_ts folder and you'll find the VOB file

If you do not see the file extension highlight the folder and right click, select properties and in the Tools menu select options records then view uncheck Hide extensions of known file types.

Then you will see the. VOB file extensions.

Copy the large VOB on your hard drive then click on it and select Rename.

Rename it. VOB to .mpg and use this file.

There are some freeware VOB2MPG who does the same work but more easy.

  • 5.1 audio in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5

I have a sequence (5.1 audio). I checked "Match sequence settings" in the "Export settings" window when I was at the exit of the final video. The problem is that in the "export settings", he says:

    1920 x 1080... etc...

    ...............

    48000 Hz, stereo

STEREO? This means that I can NOT RELEASE A VIDEO WITH 5.1 AUDIO?

If I can not really out there, then what preset should I choose? Or do I have to change a software? What of all the films under the direction of Premiere Pro?

If I can, then why it says "Stereo"?

    Do I need some extensions?

BTW, 5.1 audio in After Effects and Soundbooth?

To export audio 5.1, you need the plugin Minnetonka Surcode. You have three tries before you need to buy it.

  • Bass on Adobe Premiere Pro CPU utilization

    Hello

I'm dealing with low CPU utilization on the export of videos with Adobe Premiere Pro. The use is between 40 and 50%. My equipment should not be the problem.

Well... tells us a part of your question, is that your writing export is part of which slows things down. Note that when you write the file much smaller, which unless disk activity to do this, your CPU usage increases.

Yes... you need several discs with your project better laid out. As suggested.

  • Why this happens in Adobe Premiere Pro 2015.3 cc?

I hope someone can help me with this problem.

I import a video green screen and I start making my adjustments in the effects of Ultra keying and when I adjust the choke and soften in the cleaning of the Matte, the preview screen becomes black. That's when I had the problem and I did it a couple of times and it always seems to start when I start to adjust the choke or soften. I still have sound, but it becomes black. The video of the project also becomes black when hovered over with the mouse.

This is a new computer with Windows 10 Pro, the graphics card is Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 with the latest version of the video driver 372.54, CPU is Intel Core i7 - 6900K and I have 64 GB of Ram. My monitor is a Viewsonic VP2780 - 4K, and the resolution is set to 4096 x 2160. I adjusted the display settings, but it made no difference, and so I'm not sure why it happens in Adobe Premiere. Here is a link to show what it does:

Issue in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015

There is no sound in the video, but it is to illustrate that the preview screen went black and when you move the videos in the projects, the videos are also black.

Is there some settings that must be configured in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015.3 to prevent this? I use a Logitech mouse and a Logitech keyboard. They are also new. I am very surprised that I would still have a problem with Adobe Premiere, but I don't know if that's a problem with Windows 10 Pro, map video, monitor, or foregoing. Any help would be much appreciated. Sad to spend so much on a computer system nice and Adobe first does not work with the system.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  • I get this message error - "sorry, a serious error has occurred which requires Adobe Premiere Pro to stop. We will try to save your current project".

So I had [already] CS5 on my computer. I wanted to move to the new first Pro CC. So, until I did research on the passage, I just uninstall old Adobe all files my computer to ask a table open for my new download [first Pro CC].

I am a beginner with the 30 day free trial, then initiate the payment once the trial is over. I did everything what I had to do to install the latest version of Adobe first Pro CC.

Whenever I click the first Pro CC icon, it starts to launch upward, and about 5 seconds and it gives me the error "sorry, a serious error has occurred which requires Adobe Premiere Pro to stop. We will try to save your current project"and stops immediately...

    I have a 27-inch iMac [2014] new nice.

I have enough memory and ram.

What is causing this error? For more information on this would be greatly appreciated.

  • I just installed CC Adobe Premiere Pro and it crashes all the time!

I just installed CC Adobe Premiere Pro and it crashes.  I tried to create a new project, open an existing project - nothing works.  I can start a new project and get as much as import clips in the project window, but at the time wherever I try to play a clip or create a sequence from it, it crashes.  I'm running off a new laptop (3rd generation Lenovo X 1 carbon) 8 GB of Ram, processor i5, best of everything I could get on this specific machine.  Any thoughts?

The files that I open a new project are a gopro camera MP4 files.  The existing project was a CS5.5 file he tried to update to CC - in fact, he finds all the files fine and as soon as he arrives to the workspace with everything laid out, it crashes.  Let me know if I can provide more information.

I contacted Adobe support and they helped to solve the problem!

Apparently projects are set to use the Mercury playback engine by default if you need to disable this feature.

Go to file > project settings > General.

In the general tab change the video rendering and playback of 'accélération GPU (Open CL)' to ' Software Only '.

This fixed the problem for me, even if I don't have to review a project widely.

    I hope this helps!

  • How to properly configure a graphics card for SpeedGrade, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects?

Okay, so I have the following system configuration:

    2 NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970 s

    5960 X CPU

    MSI X 99 game 7 motherboard

    32 GB DDR4 RAM

256 GB and 1 TB Samsung 850 Pro SSD

Basically, even if I have the whole system built together, I'm not sure how check and know whether or not Adobe Premiere Pro is in fact using the map graphic or not.  I know it has to be using some of them, otherwise it would not run correctly (as I discovered a recent experience).  However, I don't know if there is, perhaps, some settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel that must be configured so that Premiere Pro can use the card to its full potential.  Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

    iVSmo66.pngJudvG6a.png

In other words, they are (I'm sure) all of the default settings of the Control Panel applies to Premiere Pro.  However, I don't know if there are any parameters here that I should change or not.  So what I'm looking for an answer to this question:

    • What parameters, if any, should change for Premiere Pro (as well as other adobe applications that can use all the force of the 970 GTX)?
    • How can I check the GPU activity it is applied during rendering?  (For example, I can check with the Task Manager, CPU usage while I made to see that it is used at 100%).
    • If, perhaps, something goes wrong and even with the right settings, say that the card still is not fully used, what other settings can I change to ensure that the GTX 970 is fully used by Adobe first Pro/After effects/SpeedGrade CC 2014?

If you want a reference point to measure the performance of Premiere Pro to your: drive system, GPU and CPU use our first Pro BenchMark (PPBM)

When you finish running the test and then run the script, you will get this report

In this case the result of my laptop (with a GTX 765 M GPU and SSD drives)

    1. The disk performance are explicit.
    2. Number 2 is a very complex timeline of seven layers with heavy assistance from CPU and GPU, without hardware acceleration GPU (processor only) should be longer than 1350 seconds.
    3. Three above is a measure of a chronology exaggerated using many, many GPU MPE accelerated effects and characteristics using a GPU to 99% of load (54 seconds above) and an export-only CPU of the same timeline (802 seconds).

If you want to compare your results to others, that you need to register on the site PPBM7 to see the results.

EDIT! I corrected the number 2 above originally, I said 900 seconds, but he was really longer than 1350 seconds
