  • Windows 8 and want to 4500 using Adobe Reader printing problems

    I have a laptop HP Pavilion (July 2013) with the dreaded Windows 8 and HP ENVY 4500 printer (November 2013). I will have questions, a booklet for printing Adobe Reader that displays only a few pages, and then the print job is canceled. I also noticed that a blue dialog box comes up saying an error has occurred and can not print, added to that, I now leave the printer in standby because another blue dialog box used to say that the printer is offline and I couldn't get it back in line without uninstalling and then reinstalling the printer. I have installed and uninstalled Adobe Reader X 1 and also the Adobe Reader X and I have also installed and uninstalled the printer about 6 times.

    The strange thing is that the same pdf file will appear as a brochure when I use my old Pavilion laptop (Circa 2009) which has Vista as the o/s.

    Anyone know how to solve the problem?

    Hi Mister_A,

    Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

    I read your post and see that you are not able to print a booklet from Adobe.

    I'll be happy to help you.

    You use the downloaded full feature software or driver Windows preinstalled?

    Here's the URL for the HP ENVY 4500 e-all-in-one printer drivers.

    Select the operating system, and then click Next.
    Click on driver - product Installation software and download the drivers.

    You can try and set it to print a picture to see if it will work.

    Go to file, print, click on the Advanced button and select print as Image.

    Run all updates from Adobe. Updates.

    Here is a URL to temporarily turn off all the start up programs to see if one of them is causing problems.

    How to change Windows 8 start programs.

    Temporarily disable the Antivirus software.

    Try to print again.

    You must follow the same steps to reactivate all the and turn on the Antivirus software.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
    Have a wonderful day!

    You must select the option "Advanced" in the dialog box print of Acrobat and it prints an image which is OK.

  • How can I add a "open a file" button on the Adobe Reader toolbar?

    I prefer to have a button on the toolbar that I sometimes forget the control + O shortcut. Looks like a major omission. How can I add that?

    Just right-click the toolbar, and then select file - open... It will add the icon open on the left side of the toolbar.

  • My toolbar Adobe Reader that lets save you, print, e-mail, etc. as the document in the browser window/tab is gone and I want to know how to get it back.

    I was unable to view PDF files in Firefox and would get a white screen telling me that I had to re - install Adobe. I did this and still he could not visualize the PDF files in the browser window or tab.

    Now that I've upgraded to the latest version of Firefox, I don't have the Adobe Reader toolbar which used to be a toolbar above a PDF file when displaying in the browser window or tab. I don't have the printer icon, icon of the diskette, email icon, page arrows to scroll upwards or downwards, the percentage of size, etc.. Is there a way to be able to have this toolbar again?

  • Adobe Reader - added toolbar: example hello world

    Hello world

    I would create a "toolbar button" Adobe Reader that supports all version of it.

    After a long search for this on the web found an article suggesting that this can be done with one of the 2 methods.

    1 acrobat Javascript.

    2 acrobat Plugins.

    1 acrobat Javascript:

    I managed to create a "toolbar button" in Adobe Reader with script placed in "C:\Program Adobe 10.0\Reader\Javascripts" below

    Script:

    function helloWorld()

    {

    App.Alert ("Hello World");

    }

    app.addToolButton({)

    cName: "helloWorldBtn", / / name of your button

    cExec: "helloWorld()", call //Function

    cLabel: "Hello World", //The text on the button

    cTooltext: "Say Hello World", //The text to help

    cEnable: true

    });

    Problem with Javascript:

    The only problem facing the implementation of my Javascript script is "I couldn't call a method ActiveX or a DLL of this Javascript.

    I tried to create new ActiveXObject in code, but it thorws runtime error saying that it ActiveXObject is an unrecognized keyword. (The same "new ActiveXObject" works very well in normal Javascrirpt.

    2 acrobat Plugins.

    I couldn't find a good sample of "Helloworld" for the creation of a toolbar of the sample on the internet. I think, Plugins, that it would be easier to call the method other DLL by adding a reference or on COM.

    Could someone help me is done with a more simple to make with this best sample. Please don't recommend the SDK samples, I don't really understand anything out of it.

    If we can create the toolbar with c# or VB, it would be better for me.

    Hope you got my problem. Thanks in advance.

    Please come back to me if one of my guesses to are wrong.

    Yes, these are the two ways to create a button in toolbar - JavaScript or Plugin.

    You are also right that you can't do anything with ActiveX or DLL from Acrobat JavaScript - which is the same engine of JavaScript in Mozilla/FireFox.  However, add many browsers to additional custom objects (for example, ActiveX), which may be what you think of...

    Plugins are written in C/C++, and they are documented in the Acrobat SDK kit.  You will need to download what to build.  It includes documentation, sample code, etc.  HOWEVER, be aware that, in order to develop a plugin for the reader, you must obtain a license from Adobe.  There is a cost and process for this license, and details are provided in the SDK.

  • Gel Adobe Reader problem

    I've got this situation.  I use Adobe Reader 11.0.6 and Mac OA 10.9.2.  I agree with the Business investor Daliy and download their daily editions in PDF format on my computer.  In the last two days, when I opened one of these editions, Adobe Reader freezes when I use the 'Find' dialog box or if I enter a page number in the toolbar.  I removed the drive and reinstalled twice, but the problem persists.  I have not encountered this problem with other PDF files.  I ask someone else has experienced this problem.  I'm not sure whether the problem is with my computer or with how IBD publishes his PFD.  Is there a diagnosis I can run on my computer?  Should I just complain to the PDCI?

    Thank you

    I've read about problems with Illustrator and photoshop on EL Capitan, but these seem to be in October 2015. She improved at all? I need to upgrade that I am running an old OS v but I need to run CS5. Can not afford to go to CC. I have a Macbook Pro.

    CS5 and 10.11 are not supported and will never be supported by Adobe or Apple.

    However it works for some, more actually, but not all. There are sporadic problems with Illustrator, Photoshop seems to be the best. Do not expect an improvement and keep in mind that anyone from Adobe, Apple or anywhere else will fix it.

    Do a clean install

    Make sure you have the Apple Java

    Make sure you have your serial number and if you are having problems with the serial number or the serialization however adobe of web server will not support your problem.

    update the application via photoshop.

  • (Problem with the arrows) Adobe Reader is not working properly

    I have problem with the Adobe Reader plug-in. When I have a tab open with the pdf file, my arrows do not work in other tabs in firefox, only in this tab where it is the open pdf file. Also, I noticed that when you try to use the arrows in the other cards, they are working on a pdf file.

    I am tempted to uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader, but it does not work. Help, please.

    I solved the problem reinstalling Firefox, because when I turned off Macromedia my pdf file still worked, but the arrows didn't always work. I think it was a problem with the plugin from adobe.

  • When I open a document in Firefox with Adobe Reader 9, I can't print (no problem if you use Internet Explorer)

    I am running Windows 7 (64-bit), using Firefox 8.0. When I open a document with Adobe Reader 9, I am unable to be with her (printing, recording, etc.) another what to see. When I use Internet Explorer I don't have this problem.

    The plug-in may not work well in Firefox because you are using an older version of Adobe Reader.

    Please note that there is currently a security breach uncorrected in Adobe Reader that is actively exploited by criminals.

         https://secunia.com/advisories/47133

    The current version of Adobe Reader (unpatched) is:

         Adobe Reader X (10.1.1)

    As an alternative, consider using

    You need to uninstall Adobe Reader unpatched software and install one of the PDF readers alternatives to its place as long as product Adobe is fixed, although you may find you like other products all also, or more.
