  Just to clarify: you cannot turn pages with Acrobat Reader permanently but temporarily, you can rotate the view: on the file menu, click view | Rotate the view | Clockwise or counterclockwise.

  You can also add controls to display rotation in the Tools menu.

  Right-click in the PDF file, go to 'Open with' & choose "Adobe Acrobat XI".

  

  Let me know if the file opens in Adobe Acrobat XI or not.

Computer function uses only the net works fine until a program I use try to use Windows Explorer.   Please open Reader and look for updates in the Help menu.

  If this is not enough, then try to disable the Protected Mode under ' Edit > preferences > (protection) "and restart the player.
