ads to clean pc
Dell Dimension 3000, xp pro, sp3, IE8, and Firefox, browsers, fully updated and corrected.
has run full scans with malwarebytes, microsoft safety scanner and Microsoft, all clean security databases.
See photos below: well seems I can't add a picture, when I go to the daily puzzles of shockwave, there's an ad running on the bottom of the screen between the bottom of the puzzle screen and the taskbar.
I have reset firefox to see if the problem has been fixed and took another screenshot I can't show here, the prob was not corrected.
Also reset firefox, now links are opened and immediately started a new tab, and I'll have to go back to about.config to change them to open in a new tab, but not switch.
Installed AdBlockPlus, ad no longer appears.
problem solved

Browser Safari keeps popping up ads in a new tab by saying that my mac is infected with the virus, the advertising comes back repeatedly.
N ° any message in a web browser saying that a Mac OS X system has a virus or other software malware is a scam; some sites Web legitimately analyzes the files uploaded to them, but is unable to scan the entire system.
Even on Windows, unless you manually ran a scan of malware in your web browser, the same applies.

How can I get rid of "Roll round ads"?
Today. I am suddenly being plagued by "Roll around ads", how do I get rid of this? Roll autour does not appear in my list of programs, but a file extension does not exist in my file (x 86) programs, please see joint image print screen
Here's my method to track down and clean up bad Add - ons and other ad injectors. Sorry for the length - it is not as bad as it sounds:
(1) open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Out as much garbage as possible here.
(2) open Firefox page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Any improvement?
(3) you can search the rest of problems with scanning/cleaning tools listed in our technical support article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware. These scanners on request are free and take a long time to run. If they end quickly, especially if they require the payment you have a serious infection. I suggest the specialty forums listed in the article in this case.
Success?

Why do I see ads for Firefox was supposed to have none?
I'm under the bombardment of each kind of sales, ads and video ads. Please do stop!
If the problem is limited to particular websites and continues after cleaning, you might consider using an ad extension in order to reduce the amount of blocking advertising see you. For example, it is a popular: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

I tried update my Adobe Flash Player and in the process, got a number of ads applied to almost all the websites I visit. It seems that the software is think clear and the ads all say ClearThink ads. the software cannot be deleted, as it says that I don't have administrator rights. Norton was blocking but we must remove the software before something worse
It is possible that some other malicious software 'protect' ClearThink to make it more difficult to remove. In some cases, you may need to use one of the special modes of Windows, such as Windows Safe Mode to disable the protection.
But first you might try clearing all other elements installed the same day where she can be part of the same group. I suggest starting here:
Open the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Out as much garbage as possible here.
You can "absorb" remain problems with scanning/cleaning suggested in this article of support tools: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware.
Finally, open Firefox page modules using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.
Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Clarify that?

Maybe 1 out of 10 maybe youtube videos works. My Favorites, including music videos have been working very well and now only a couple work. I cleaned my cache, restarted the computer, update flash and nothing worked. Installed chrome, did not work. I don't know what the problem is. Ads are working perfectly well...
I just remembered something. YouTube blocks some content
Depending on your situation. But you will get a message if this is the case. -
Usually I don't mind the ads on web pages. So, I feel strongly to use ad-blocking software to prevent any or all kinds of ads. But I don't mind the ads that float on web pages because they often block the view.
Although some floating ads allow the user to close them, more pop ups or other types of malware, can appear after their closure.
Yes, is there an easy way (an add-on, perhaps) to remove the floating ads after they appear and prevent them from generating more ads or to show again when the page is reloaded?
Maybe something like "CTRL + Alt + left click on ' applied to the floating ads?
I don't want to turn off scripts and Flash.
There are Add-ons that, but they don't have not been updated in a long time, while they might have problems.

Earlier, I would recommend Adblock Plus, used as follows:
- Install Adblock more.
- Click on Adblock Plus toolbar icon and click Filter Preferences.
- Subscriptions, right-click each subscription tab and choose Remove. Now, Adblock Plus is not blocking anything.
- Install the element hidden assistance made to Adblock Plus.
- Now when you want to hide something on a web page, click on Adblock Plus toolbar icon and choose "select an item to hide."
- Web page preview is acceptable, click the button add element hiding rule. For advanced use, see the following pages.

stop auto-fill on kijiji search ads
When I type 'camera' in search box on houssin.com ads it auto 'camaro' or something else, I'm not looking for. I disabled the history and clean the cache, but it's annoying that it does. Help prevent this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
'S done it through saved form data:
- Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "Use the custom settings for history": "don't forget to search and form history."
You can use the following steps to delete the recorded data (form) in a drop-down list:
- Click on the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
- Select an entry in the drop-down list
- Press the DELETE key (on a Mac: shift + delete) to remove it.

I reinstalled Firefox, why I get thousands of ads?
I had to do a system restore on my PC, after that, my Firefox started spoil, my homepage has changed by itself, and I started to receive ads everywhere. I did all the checks for malware, virus check etc and cleaned the PC. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. Everything works well, but I'm the ads all over the place, pop ups, ads on caterpillars, all kinds of advertising, pages popping up telling me to download the latest video player or download manager. How can I get rid of this?
The sounds that you still have some malware installed.
Make a check of malware with several malware scanning of programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Pop-up Blocker does not work on ads 'Bettersurf '!
Today I started seeing ads popping up with "Bettersurf Articles. How can I get rid of these? I have Norton Antivirus on my computer... but it's constantly nagging me as I surf the web. I think Foxfire should check into it. I think they have found a way to go beyond the blocker.
Thank you
CarolynSorry, I keep a clean garbage can.
Under ProgramFiles 86/bettersurf has three files: / ff, /ch and another one (not / en). In the subfolder /ff was firefox installation files.
Both times bettersurf appeared, I disabled Firefox Add in and removed from the bettersurf file tree. Restarted the computer for good measure and no problem after that.
