  My search indexer is not indexed parameters locations I do and after a day or two, he returns to the original setting whicgh was the Start Menu.  I changed the indexed locations to include most of my C drive, and it indexes all (the search function works well for awhile) but a day or two later, when I do a search, nothing comes.  I double-check the settings and find that it has been restored to the original indexed locations.

  I created a RAID 5 with my dell server, it is 4 disks and total disk space is 2.4 TB.

  As usual, I installed ESXi and now it only allow me to creat 768 GB datastore.

  When I go to create the data store it says partition 2.4 TB but only said 768 is free.

  I have a desktop running WMP 11 on XP and a laptop computer under WMP 12 on Windows 7. Both are connected to the desktop computer even router-, mobile - wireless ethernet.

  1 have had modifications made to your computer before the problem occurred?

  2. did you install or uninstall all the programs on your computer until the problem occurred?

  3. do you get an error message or error code when you access or file sharing on the network?

  4. what security (Antivirus & Firewall) program is installed on your computer?

  5. were you able to access shared files and folders on your laptop from your desktop earlier?

  I suggest you to follow a few troubleshooting steps and check if that help in the issue of the attachment on your computer.

  Method:

  Sharing files in Windows 7 and XP

  Sharing folders between two Windows 7 machines with the new homegroup feature is an easy process, but the homegroup feature is not compatible with Vista or XP.

  First of all, make sure that both computers are members of the same workgroup which by default is named Workgroup.

  a. on the Windows 7 machine go into control panel-all items in the control panel-network and sharing Center then click on change sharing settings, advanced.

  b. you want to check the following settings under Advanced for home or work and Public profile sharing settings.

  ·         Turn on network discovery.

  ·         Printer sharing and file.

  ·         Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can read write files in public folders.

   

  c. If you want any user to access public actions disable password protection.  It is located in the sharing settings advanced to the bottom of the list (protected by password sharing).

  ·         Turn off password protected sharing.

   

  d. If you want to keep it enabled, make sure that there is a newspaper account that the other XP machine and they have a password.

  e. over on your XP machine open my network places to search for the shared folder of Windows 7.

  f. double-click the shared folder to find a list of shared folders in the folder Public of Windows 7.  If you have password protection enabled you will have to type the user name and password of the user account on the windows 7 machine first.

  Hello, it was noted that the foxit pdf plugin is causing this issue. You can disable this plugin in firefox > addons > plugin until what foxit offers a patch/update for the plugin.

The reason why I ask this is that I find a bit strange that my custom PC has a total of 8GBs of RAM but XP only can use a 2.96GBs total or 3GBs if I use one of my two video cards (currently using a GPU SLI configuration). So is one such update for XP or I'd be better off getting Win7 or Win8 when it comes out?

  If I'm not mistaken, you need a 64-bit o/s (hardware Inc.) to address more than 4 GB.

  A few days ago, I bought Xperia M2 for my son and I was surprised with it. He has been connected successfully his phone with our Philips 42pfl6008 hdtv and always play the games and other tricks of phone TV mirror it. Then I bought the Z2 model for me, but I was disappointed with this jewel of phones Sony cannot reflect all the content but only the parameters, the walkman and movies.   There is a solution for this if you are rooted.

  Perhaps your son has a device rooted with a patch, or he just doesn't have a protection of the content about it.

  EDIT: Low-end Sony devices do not have this protection.

  I found something else. Try to update your TV software. It seems to have solved the problem for someone else.

  It seems that all the high-end smartphones have this problem, not only the devices of Sony (which is why the solutions are all different).

• Problems with CHM search & Index after you import the Word Document

  I recently inherited from all things RoboHelp at work, but the last person to work with our projects left 6 months ago.  I received a brief overview of how our CHM files are from the same word in HR 7 HTML document.

  Currently, I use RoboHelp HTML 9, but have problems with the indexing and search of an imported file in Word 2003 (.doc) features.  During my import, only a single topic is created and named after the source document.  I believe that this may be the root of my problems, but have not had much luck with a solution.

  I have stumbled my way through adjustment after adjustment, but feel I'm missing something obvious.  Any help would be appreciated.

  Background:

  Our source documents have a working table of contents and topic structure 1 - 3.  When creating a new project and import the document, the table of contents are imported correctly.  TOC navigation links seem to work fine.

  I used the smart Index Wizard to find new keywords to topic titles and the text of the topic.  Unfortunately it seems that import only creates a single, named subject according to the word source document and associates so all the keywords of the unique subject.  When you try to navigate the index after the CHM is generated, all the links reference just the beginning of the document.

  When you use the search functionality in CHM, only a single result is returned for any search words.  This result is always the only subject, as described above.  The link to the results always picks you up at the beginning of the document, but highlights the key word throughout the document.

  When you import there is an Advanced button in any of the dialog boxes. Click and you'll be able to Paginate against selected styles. That will stop your document in the headings.
