  I already have a security account for the family windows on pc windows 7 of my son.  We just got him a windows Tablet 8 for school and I want to add this device to his account with the same settings.  I went through the installation on windows 8 (creation of a local child account for him, which allows security for the family for the account).  When I hit the button to manage the settings on the family safety website, it tells me that the service is not available.  My Internet as fine (since I'm on this site), so I doubt that it is a temporary problem.  On the family safety website, it shows its Windows 7 PC, but not the tablet of windows 8.  Someone has ideas of how do I synchronize the security settings for the windows family 8 with the site?

  It is possible that your Microsoft Account needs a form of additional verification.

  Follow these steps:

  1 1 glisser slide from the right side of the screen, then select settings

  2. Select change PC settings.

  3. Select accounts

  4. Select your account

  Now, you can see some indications that your account or the machine needs additional checks. If you could click on the link and follow the instructions provided, this might solve your problem.

  Once you are done, follow these steps:

  1. go in other accounts (under accounts where you were previously).

  2. Select the account you want to have a child, and then click change

  3. change the account to a child account, then select OK.

  To ensure that you are connected to the parental control service, follow these steps:

  1. press on the button of the window on your keyboard

  2. tap parental controls and select parental control

  3. press on the large enough to Manage settings on the Family Safety website button.

  Have 2 Win 8 machines, running Firefox 25 and a laptop with Win 7. All three are using Mcafee Security Suite ver 12.8 with Anti Virus 16.8. The subscription runs out in February 2014. I would like to make a change and I'm concerned about compatibility with Firefox worm 25 issues. Are there problems of compatibility with Bitdefender Security of Windows 8? Are there problems of compatibility with Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 or Pure 3.0 Total Security? If I make changes on the security Suites, I'll use the same version on Win 8 and Win 7 machines. All three will use Firefox 25. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  I am the user principal and administrator of this desk top using Windows Vista Home.  I'm trying to download Norton Security Suite Dowload Manager of Comcast Xfinity.  When I select "Run" I get the message "Download Manager requires administrator privileges to download and install the product."  It only allows me to run the selected product.

• recovery of preloaded HP Client Security Suite for 455 G1 laptop with fingerprint reader

  have a HP ProBook 455 G1 with fingerprint reader. Due to him having to replace the failed hard drive on the laptop, I had to use the support of recovery to re - install Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on the computer as well as all the drivers and other software that has been included on the recovery disks. However, I was not able to get the version of the HP Client Security software that is listed on the support page and downloads to install correctly. I was wondering if there was a link or a way to find another copy of the original version of HP Client Security that came pre-installed on the system.   It is a follow-up to the above post about the G1 455 ProBook with fingerprint reader. Whenever I try to install the security software, it keeps giving me an error code (error code 101). This code requires the installer to roll back and does not allow the software to install. I don't know if this helps much to find a solution to the issue. Any help you can give me on this matter is greatly appreciated.

  Since then, buying a new computer and transmitting the data transferred, I received security for the weekly family reports saying that there is 'no activity' but I know that my kids use the internet... I have to sign.  How can I get the reports is accurate again?

  Because you bought a new computer, it is possible that parental control is not recognize it even if you have the data transferred from your old computer.

  First of all, please upgrade to the latest version Family Safety, you can download it here. After you have installed the latest version, please follow these steps to ensure that parental control is set to the new computer:

  1. connect to http://familysafety.microsoft.com using the parent account.

  2. click on Manage list of the members of the family.

  3. Select the child's account and then click Remove. Click delete to confirm.

  4. open the client of parental controls on your computer.

  5. on the upper right side of the parental control window, click the icon to get the latest settings from the Web site .

  6. after a few seconds, it displays a dialog box saying that there is no accounts on your computer. Click set up the Family Safety. If the dialog box has not shown, just, close the client and reopen it.

  7. connect again to Family Safety using the parent account.

  8. follow the on-screen instructions to set up parental controls.

  9. return to the Family Safety website. Activate the activity tracking and change other settings according to your preference.

  10. open again the parental control client, and then click the icon to get the latest settings from the Web site on more time.

• Application best suited for 8 and 16 second animated ads Board digital wall?

  Hello, I'm looking for some advice which would be better suited for 8 and 16 second animation ads Board digital wall?  I need to combine video or animated backgrounds with content grpahics, photos, video and custom text and animate these objects and power so create smooth transitions.  I feel like Animate would be preferable but perhaps primers or after effects would work or be better?  O perhaps r should I use all 3!  But above all what I am looking for the easiest way and fastest of these ads on the pump and that balance with control.  The final output should be a 1280 px h x 800 px s (not in standard size video HD 1280 x 720?)  and a MP4 or Quicktime video.

  With After Effects, I can import a PSD and manipulate any layer of gazillion ways. Or implement videos and layer those into the mix. It can be overwhelming at first, but once you understand the basics of the sky is the limit. I could watch tutorials AE starting on YouTube and see if it feels right for you.

  I used to be more experienced in Flash (now animate) but no more and only touched on board.

• Norton Security Suite does not always load at startup

  I downloaded Norton Security Suite for Comcast.  When starting my computer Norton does not always .
  When it does load I can not start it manually.  When it loads on start-up (sometimes), it works fine.

  I would recommend that you follow the below given steps and check if this solves the problem.

  I suggest you to restart services of Norton in the list of services and set - the Norton on automatic.

  Follow these steps to run Norton services

  Method 1:

  Press windows key + r.
  b. in the run window type services.msc
  c. it will open windows services
  d. Select services norton in the list of services
  e. double-click
  f at the top of the window, make sure that the service status is started and the startup type is automatic...

  g.Click apply and OK.

  If this does not resolve the problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling Norton software and check if it helps.

  If the steps above do not help, I suggest you to contact Norton for additional assistance.

  A couple of years back, I've set up family safety on my daughter's laptop Win 7.  She is now 17 and a senior in high school.  Time to lift the restrictions.  They interfere with his school work.  I had a couple of Microsoft accounts over the years.  I think that I probably put in place safety for the family on his machine using an older account.  When I try to log in security for the family on his cell phone, he already has my most recent user name and allow me to the older (and the password).  When I get my most recent credentials, it says the following: "the action cannot be completed because the parent is therefore more a part of the Family Safety family."  How can I enter the security software for the family on his computer, turn it off and uninstall.  Thank you.

  I understand that you want to replace the primary parent in family safety. I apologize, but we do not have this option of parental control. What you can do is to reconfigure your parental control by using the new account that you have. First of all, you must disable the parental controls from your main account.

  Once you clear the previous parent ID, you can configure Family Safety using the new user as the ID of the Parent account.

• I have the latest Firefox installed on an older Dell and the CA security suite through my ISP, that takes up all my CPU and causes everything to freeze when I try to access its features. I need a free internet security software that my so tax system

  Have old Dell Dimension 32/bit with Win XP Prof 2002. I installed the security suite CA from my ISP, which is a huge program and uses 100% CPU on starting and stopping, slowing everthing at a snails pace. I deleted evrything I need not using 30 days free Revo Unistaller Pro, but when I try to access the CA firewall to add programs to the exemption, it opens, then freezes tabbed Firefox and nothing else. Can not even stop from the start menu. I want to get rid of all (even if it's a good program, it's too big) and return to my Win Firewall(or another better free firewall that's good for more than 30 days trial) and some other internet security free program that is easy, runs in background and does not all my resources and is not just a 30 day free trial until you purchase the program. I also try to install a wireless adapter, so I can drop my ISP and use the free city/county signal as no work for 20 months!

No more crashes or freeze & yes I think there is a problem with CA & Firefox, but don't know what it is. It was a big big time eater. I also got rid of my ISP and installed an Intellinet Wireless G PCI Card & am now entirely wireless on my PC. More quickly by far than what I was paying $50 / month for & I use my Windows Firewall.
