AEBS latency problem

Hi all

Recently I had a problem of serious latency with my 6th Gen Airport Extreme (model AC), which happens on the wired devices and connected wireless is not a wireless issue.  I tried a number of things to eliminate this problem... Rebooted the modem cable, restarted the AEBS, reset the AEBS to factory settings, downgraded the firmware as it seems to have started shortly after the 7.7.7 update, made sure that I wasn't sharing WIFI channels with the neighbors... None of these fixed the issue.  Just to make sure that it wasn't my access provider or the Internet in general having a bad week, I pulled out my old Netgear router, have everything connected to it and the latency problem disappeared.  I used it for a few days to make sure.  I have also connected my old Gen 4 AEBS and still no latency. I hooked the 6th Gen AEBS upward and returned latency, so I don't know what the source of the problem.  I tried to adjust some settings, but since this is the case for the cable connections and wireless, I guess it's more a hardware problem a matter of possible interference.  I have probably travelled all the troubleshooting steps, but thought I'd throw it out there when even to see if anyone else had any suggestions.

As a side to this note, I'm having a specific problem specific wireless.  Quite regularly, the individual devices are slowed to a crawl.  That is, for the moment my iPhone is listed as having a connection 802.11a/n/ac to 433Mbps, but after a while (sometimes hours, sometimes days), it will be reduced to 1 MB/s 802.11b/g/n.  One.  Although I am less than 10 feet from the router by means of a direct line of sight.  This also happens to my iPad, MacBook, iMac, actually all devices using a wireless connection.  The only way to remedy this is to reboot the router, restart the individual device doesn't fix it.  I got to the point of having to manually restart the router one or two times a week to make sure that everything is connected.  Products like Apple WIFI had some kind of keep alive or scheduled reboot setting.  Again, any thoughts?

Thank you.

A few things come to mind:

  1. A number of Internet service providers began to role over IPv6.
  2. A possible incompatibility between the modem and your AirPort base station. Specifically, if you have an Arris / Motorola SB61XX-series modem.
  3. Your base station is defective.

We can try to help with any part of these elements.

I have explored a number of positions and found out that my relatively frequent distortion of the sound corresponds to a problem of latency that may occur every 15 seconds, give or take a second, higher than 29000us, but usually about 20000us.

I disabled the common things in one by one, Device Manager without changing the latency.

I did not have a TV tuner in the Manager devices, but uninstalled the driver of software without modification.

Finally, I got this problem resolved by HP. Their initial option was to ask me to re - install the image on the hard disk, which got rid of a lot of marketing software originally installed when sold, but it had no effect on the noise/latency problem

Initially, I found the driver for ACPI-composite battery in Device Manager seems to cause the every 15 sec 20000us latency spike, because when I turned it off it, the problem disappeared. However, this driver was not what has been corrected to fix the problem.

Care of HP phone rang finally comes with their solution, and it was as follows (and did not involve the composite battery ACPI driver). Despite the use of the HP support assistant, none of these changes has been marked.

    1. I was told to go to the HP website and download an update of the BIOS recently transferred to my laptop - everything seemed to say that it has fixed a graphics issue. This update of the bios makes it immediately fixed the problem, if there were still a few peaks of latency up to 8000us without audio effect and without that there is no regularity of appearance.

    2. I was also told to download the audio driver who had recently been transferred (since I first noticed my problem). This resulted in latency spikes never exceeding 2000us (and generally not exceeding do not 600us)

I find it interesting that support assistant did not recommend these updates, and the audio driver is always marked as updated during the specific test, despite a seemingly better being available.

How about driver sound, display driver and BIOS update.
    Have you tried that?

To be honest, I don't know if this could help you or not, but if an update is available, then you should do this

  • WRVS4400N latency problem

I just got WRVS4400N with the latest firmware on my home network. I do not use wireless if I disabled it.

My problem is that when I connect to my PC directly to a modem cable (Linksys BEFCMU10), I get approximately 14 Mbit/s to 17 Mbps. But if I connected via WRVS4400N, I lost more than half of the bandwidth. I was getting only between 6 Mbps to 8 Mbps.

I have my Vonage in the DMZ, but I use it, more so if it is used not should not done my bandwidth.

I had no active IPS and I was using the last version supported firmware downloadable 1.01.03.  I set the MTU as automatic by my ISP guide. But I have question of latency/download speed.

Then I downloaded the beta of version 1.01.08 linksysinfo.org firmware. This firmware fixed my problem of latency.

  • Write the Bootdisk SATADOM latency problem

    Hi people,

I have a Supermicro Microcloud Pseudo-lame 8 Server identical blades, each installed with ESXi 5.5 on an edge D150QV Innodisk SATADOM (32 GB), with associated default datastore1 (about 24 GB) that has no virtual machine. A blade is a problem with strange writing with the SATADOM latency, and I wanted to ask if people have seen this behavior before, and if I should be worried about the SATADOM SSD life expectancy.

Currently, I see a 3ms latency of writing on datastore1 quasi-continuite according to viclient, and goes esxtop shows that there are 3 commands/s beating enough regularly to screw with the graph of viclient into thinking there is a continuous 3ms latency of writing. Most of the commands is concentrated in LVAD rather than KMOY. I don't see this behavior in other blades configured identically, which have probably SATADOM from the same manufacturing batch.

and I think I found the problem earlier...

He had a record of vmkdump VMFS on datastore1 with a file in use. Marking this unused file stopped this nonsense. See the forum for more information

basically make sure the dump partition is active and mark the inactive dump file.

  • Annoying latency problem

Okay, so I just bought this crazy program and I can not even save right, I do not understand because with Cool Edit Pro he has no problem with latency at all. My mic is a Samson C03u and just the box record MS or w/e is seriously off beat and it's vital to rap on the point, etc. I downloaded ASIO4ALL and cannot understand how it works. I went to changed to ASIO and audio material went into the settings and all that when I go to check the green bars are in one place and when I speak into the microphone, nothing appears. What I am doing wrong? I'm clearly retarded.

Just for the record, this is a five year thread, so previous discussions are on versions that no longer exist.

In any case, I have not noticed a difference in latency between CS6 and different versions of the CC of hearing that I used (I have both installed on my computer.)

It might be a good idea if you could give us some details of the hardware you use - type of audio interface or usb microphone, if you run MS or ASIO, your latency/buffer setting, etc.  A screenshot of your menu Edit/Preferences/Audio equipment would be very useful.

I must agree with ryclark that the best way to handle this is to use the 'direct' zero latency of monitoring on your interface. Closure of your audio through two A a D/D-a conversion over a buffer from the computer, you will never get zero latency without using a basic interface.

  • Despite Drivers ASIO soundcard and dedicated latency problem

    Hello

I recently bought an external sound card USB of U-Phoria UM2 by Behringher specifically for recording audio with (vocals), but I'm having a nightmare with a latency.

I use hearing CS6 on a desktop (i5, 8 GB of RAM, SSD hard drive) and CC2014 on a laptop (also i5 8 GB of RAM, SSD hard drive).

I checked the settings of the ASIO driver and tried to lower the buffer (up to 128, I get glitches with 64), track still comes out retarded... it's impossible to sing more. I've sailed all the options and menus I can think and tried all forums to see if I could get advice from already answered messages but have not found a specific case to mine (most have the standard sound cards or any driver ASIO and seem to have solved by simply installing one of the two).

I doubt that it is of any interest to the case, but I use a Shure Beta 58 and 58 PG to record.

Any idea on how I can do to fix this?

    Help would be very appreciated.

What part of the audio you hear the delay on? What is your own voice you hear delayed? You use the key to listening directly to monitor yourself then of the recording and listening not hearing of entry of surveillance?

  • Network - Smokeping latency problem

I have an ESXi 4 Server Ubuntu 9.10 machine lightly loaded.  One of the servers is run smokeping for monitoring the performance of the network.  After a few hours of the race, I could see that the ping response times are everywhere.

To help debug if it were a real network problem or a problem of vmware esxi, I started a ping of a physical server and the server vm - both on the same physical server.  The ping of the physical server were constantly less than 100 usec.  The ping to the server vm were about two times slower - yet fewer than 200 uSec.  However, the server vm I observed frequently delays in package (perhaps 1 to 15) more than 2 ms.

It is shaking the monitoring software and make me wonder generally about networking on this box.  It has a built-in broadcom NIC.  A few thoughts I had were:

    (1) select the second integrated nic and dedicate it to the virtual machine running smokeping

    2) add to that a network adapter intel pro 1000 to see that behavior

    (3) bag using vmware for this application

Any comments or other thoughts?  -Bud

This application is not so suitable for virtualization, if she is looking so closely to response times.  You can see the effect of delays schedules CPU, rather than performance of NIC problem.  The maximum CPU in ESX timeslice is. So I think, 30ms according to vCPU to Jepp ratio basis, there could be opportunity where very significant delays are saved.

Please give points for any helpful answer.

  • Satellite A660-167 - audio latency very high indeed

    Hello guys.

I have a Toshiba A660-167 and I'm having a problem with the audio latency, it is actually very high.
I am using Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit and I already tried using windows 7 32-bit and windows Xp but the problem remains.

Toshiba already tried to "fix" my problem, but as they said that my laptop works perfectly.
If someone knows something about the latency problem that his help will be very appreciated...

    Thanks in advance

    Hi dj_betty,

And how did you notice this problem of DPC latency?
You have a problem with noise or speakers as low volume or what?

I must say that my Satellite A660 runs great. I often listen to music with headphones or speakers in-house and have no problem at all. Music and video will be read correctly.

  • 15-20 time of latency to see the changes in analog inputs

I inherited a program extremely complex.  I find that I see 15-20 seconds latency on the changes to the analog inputs.  I can't post the code - (it has more than 200 sub screw) but I have captured the relevant section in the long latency period of the changes.jpg of analog input attached.

I tried to change the sampling rate and see the same problem from 1 Hz to 25 Hz (limit of reliable sampling with this PC).  I'm looking at indicators which are directly related to the acquisition of data Read.vi as evidenced by the big red arrow.

I modeled the nested struct in the template attached without latency problems.jpg.  There is no perceptible latency but it duplicates the nested structures.

The only thing not shown is that there are several cases of Read.vi of data acquisition using the same physical changes but not of them are in the loops that need to run at the same time.

The data are consistent with the entries, just delayed.

The Signal processing device is a USB-6343.  I am running these screws on LabVIEW 2011 edition.

    Any ideas?

Yes, instead of getting just 1 sample buffer, try to get all the samples.

Then you can retrieve the most recent example of all the samples you get and take the rest of them.

Or you can change the configuration of taks for only once every time that you call the read function.

  • High with e1200 latency

If I get a lag when I play LoL or PS2 of anywhere between 80ms and 500 + Ms I use a wireless addapter but I don't know it doesn't have something to do with it. We tried to put my computer back to priority using the MAC address, but without success. I would try to reinstall and have my computer added to the group before my sisters, because from what I've read, that's added takes priority over the rest, but my mother is not like this idea. I would like to know if there is something that I could try to get my time to lower latency or if reinstall it it would work.

    * Sorry for the bad grammar/spelling, if applicable *.

Well, understood the problem. It was the router e1200 after all. Return to the one we used before (Motorola EB388) fixed latency problems I had.

  • Sluggish Qosmio F60 with Office 2007

    Hello world

    I have a new Qosmio F60 (i7, 4 GB of RAM, 1 GB graphics GT330) running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

It works fine, but when I have a document open in Microsoft Word 2007, the computer runs very slow, with long delays, for example when switching between applications with alt - tab or by clicking on the taskbar at the bottom. It only seems to happen when I first just open word (ie. with "Document1"), but once I open another file or type text, it slows down to a crawl. I opened these documents without any problem on another computer. Word itself isn't slow when that happens, but around switching and do things like moving files in windows Explorer are very tedious.

Initially, I had a 32-bit version of Home premium installed, but this would freeze every hour or so, then reloaded the 64-bit home premium since the partition of hard drive recovery.

Any ideas on the reasons of the computer is so laggy? Don't think that I needed a PC range to be able to type a word document, and open a web browser at the same time...

    Kind regards
    Dennis

Unfortunately, I have two problems that you can watch in... but no solutions!

First of all, your likely Nvidia graphics card suffers the Nvidia powermizer DPC latency problems that cause the slower the computer each time changes on the GPU clock speed. NVIDIA claims to have solved the problem, but we don't see until they release their next regular update. Hope that Toshiba makes the driver available as soon as its ready! You can find a lot more people with the problem of Nvidia in the Satellite A series forum:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=49337&TSTART=0

Second, is a huge problem with hard disk queue length. You will find that your computer runs lightning fast of complex calculations, but slows to a crawl, every time that you run simple programs that spend a lot of time communicating with the hard drive... as an office. Try opening the Windows - resource monitor task manager and look at the length of queue disk when your computer slows down. Anything above 2 indicates a bottleneck between CPU and hard drive (my disk queue length happens occasionally when 10 multitasking!). I don't know if this is related to the Nvidia problem or if there is another reason why communicating with the hard drive is so slow. The Toshiba satellite that I use for work does not suffer from this problem and has the same type of hard disk (even if a smaller size). Furthermore, you have the 640 GB HDD?

If you find that you don't have the problem of disk queue length, make sure that you call the assistance of Toshiba on this topic. Most people report, the better chance we all have to fix!

Thus, the title says it all, my computer currently marks a 7.3 (5.9 in the calculation) score off the 7.9, it does, however, for reasons that I can't come up with (it's 3:00 and I have a little juggled on it for several hours and assistance or advice would be welcome).

I describe what's happening: I start a game, DoW 2, my PC is well able to handle the graphics and the game play is smooth without any latency problems, action camera jerky, missing animations or something similar.  I play the game for about 10 minutes... And the computer automatically restarts without warning.

I have no idea what is the cause, something, sure I'll have a hunch would be food (I remember being told it gives 530 watts, while the graphics card requires 550 watts... would that be?) It would not cause the PC crash at startup? I was told that he wouldn't at the store...)
There is only the basics on the computer right now: mouse, keyboard, headset and screen
G9x, keyboard Microsoft Media, G35 and B24W-5 ECO.  I am running Windows 7 64-bit OS.

Pilots are in control, and I applied all the updates that are rudimentary.  Thanks in advance!

  • T610E

    Hey everybody,

I have T610E of ten thin clients running within my environment now with 3 monitors attached to each device. Unfortunately, they run really slow. It was recommended to me by a friend that I should use the universal converter Desktop (UDC) of IGEL to replace the rest of management on all devices so that they run more quickly.

The UDC will work on this model of thin client? The IGEL site does not show this model as a support unit.

Of the UDC even will help with the lag and latency problems? I'm not sure that replacement as a result of management will do much good.

    Hello

Universal Desktop Converter work on thin clients and you should be able to install it on your device. With respect to performance, that it depends on how and what you use... so wat I would say is to try to install it on one of the units and test it and see how it works and then once you have a fair idea on this subject, you can decide whether to use.
