After access freezes Office safe mode after pressing on on Windows XP

I get the blue screen advising to go in safe mode to fix.  I'm in safe mode after you restart stopping computer, I press f8 alnd when I get xp a lot of filenames scroll down then the comp freezes there. I can only try to reboot by turning off my computer, again and the same thing happens again. safe mode works only for the restart.

Hi Happy New Year!   I've been away during the holidays and the day before where I left my computer just does not respond after trying to enter safe mode.  I ordered a new computer and meanwhile using my Dell laptop which is about 6 years old, but works on my wireless router.

From what I see in blue, the screen and the black screen is that it is a hardware problem, I'll have to call Dell to get it going one last time, so I can get some files.

From the dell Web site he suggested out me the hard drive, then put it again.

If external hard disk is encrypted using BitLocker To Go then, you must enter the Bitlocker password or the Bitlocker recovery key in order access the hard drive. You will not be able to access the disk hard if you don't remember the password.

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community

I understand that you are facing the problem with win 10 in SafeMode as normal mode

Please answer these questions to better understand the issue and help you:

    1. You have the disc of windows 7 installation?

I want to suggest everything first, disconnect any external devices (Cd/DVD, USB key, webcam, memory card reader, etc.), except the mouse and keyboard and try to start.

Now press Ctrl + Shift + ESC key combination to check if the Task Manager opens.

If you have the Windows 7 installation disc, try to run the Startup Repair tool once more with the disc.

If this does not help, get in safe mode with command prompt and use startup recovery tool to repair windows startup problems

    Hope this helps

  • Cannot go beyond the Office in standard mode, various scenarios of (non-performance issues) freezing. Safe MODE works very well.

Cannot go beyond the office longer. Freezes clicking on dialog boxes does nothing most of the time. Clicking on some dialog boxes will close them but leave the box empty and completely white out. The icon on the taskbar is different than what is on the desktop. Everything works fine in safe mode. I have worked on this for almost 3 weeks and have been asking for help. One of my diagnostic checks give several (IRQ) has not been defined in time. (OFOO:0132 or OFOO:XXXX)

Running Vista 32-bit Basic. Did a restore of the system (not a full reboot) and he made sure the cursor to move to the desktop (but no result has produced most of the time) Unlike before where the cursor was just immediately frozen.  Also received DST short Test failed and OFOO:065 D. error reading disk-DST self-test. Do not forget that in Safe Mode, I can do everything very well. It's the only way I can access the internet. If anyone can help me I'll always owe to your kindness.

  • 7.0 Firefox crashes at startup (including safe mode) as a standard in Windows XP SP3, even after the clean install user

    Hi all

I need help. 7.0 FF crashes at startup / launch every time, even in safe mode of Windows XP.

I've initially automatically upgraded to version 7.0 the FF of the version the latest version 6. This automatic installation crashed, then I downloaded again v7.0.

I uninstalled my existing installation of FF6, including personal settings and ran Setup v7.0. He appeared to install successfully, but crashes at launch. I repeated this process several times with the operating system restarts without success.

I also ran FF in safe mode of Windows XP, but have experienced the same crash at the launch of the application. FF now display only the 'Crash Reporter'.

    Reminder:

    • I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 on a computer.
    • The machine is on Tivoli Access Manager (but I choose not to use it)
    • I ran a scan anti-virus AVG Free with no result.
    • I did a scan of MalwareBytes Anti Malware. An infection was detected (since corrected) as follows:

    Infected registry data items:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\SystemRestore\DisableConfig (Windows.Tool.Disabled)

Please let me know if you need more information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm curious to know if the reg key parameters are the same as the post above Associates

The "reg" shift key is probably set your field of business via GPO that prevents you to configure system restore settings. Probably not an "infection" but MalwareBytes can pick it up as a false positve.

  • My pc freezes during a normal race, does not freeze in safe mode

My computer crashes after the normal start time randomly I do nothing especially when it freezes. It seems to help if I constantly move the mouse so it doesn't freeze. I ran malware bytes and nothing was found, I also ran mcafee, norton, windows defender and malicious microsoft removal tool. I can run the pc in safe mode and mode safe mode with networking, but as soon as I run it in normal mode it freezes all the time. I'm at my wits end trying to fix can someone help plz

No I have not used all anti-virus durning in the last two weeks to try to find a virus but have had no luck. I have run both antivirus software and uninstall it once I use it I am currently only running windows Defender

    If you care to try...

In safe mode, create a new user account with EXACTLY the same privileges as the other.
Reboot, logon to the account again in NORMAL mode. It freezes on you also?

My point of view (speculation only): maybe your old user account is damaged.

P.S. running with ONLY windows Defender may not a good idea. Install a good AV (anti-virus) program.  I do not make recommendations when it comes to AV.
I'm very curious. You have used Norton and McAfee and uninstalled them. Don't you have to pay for them? They have trial versions?

  • Cannot access admin or safe mode...

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion dv2500 with a screen broken or burned. (My step grandson accidentally shot of the stool on which I got). I hung it on a monitor so that it can still be used and have since bought another.  I put the password on the admin account and created a user account for my husband and one for comments.

The problem is that I forgot the password I created. I tried everything I could think of, and I can't access the admin account. I know that you can access and change of safe mode, but because my screen is not working I can not see the loading screen, press F8 and select Safe mode.  It is attached to the monitor, but the display lights when it is loaded to the user accounts page. I created recovery discs when I got to the laptop, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to do it because I have a ton of family photos on the admin account I want to transfer to my new PC. I tried to access a safe mode then than the guest account, but he asks me admin password.

Is there a way I can access the account admin or safe mode without using the F8 when loading? For any help or suggestion would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Jen

    Edit: It has Vista

    Hi Jen,

On another PC, download the ISO on the following link.

    PC login now

Once downloaded, use a program such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD.  A guide on how to use it is on the link below.

    PC connection Guide now

Insert the CD in your laptop you can not connect to and restart to boot from the disc.

I hope that this should simply remove your password altogether, so you can configure then comes a new.

  • Internet access only in safe mode with network! Help!

I can access the internet and open a Web page in SafeMode with network. When I try to open a Web page in normal mode, I can't. I looked at the diagonisic and it says that my firewall or something is not allowed my HTTP port 80 and HTTPS 443 port and port 21 FTP to open or access. I went into my settings of firewall and turned all these, but I have not yet been able to get access to the internet.  HELP PLEASE?

    Hello

    (1) remember you to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    (2) that you get error messages when you access internet in normal mode?

I suggest you follow these methods and check.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: If the method above does not work, you can put the computer in the boot and check.

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

  • Access to the Safe Mode on Windows 8

    Hello

I understand sometimes through troubleshooting or for other reasons, there is a need to access safe mode when using windows 8. What many people do not know is Windows 8 does not use F8 at startup to access the secure mode. It needs to be done inside of Windows 8, himself. The screenshots below will show you how to access safe mode when you use Windows 8.

On the startup screen, click settings:

Then click on change settings for PC:

Click gernal on the left side of the page:

On the right side scroll advanced boot:

The computer then stops, and you want to click on troubleshoot:

    Click on advanced options:

    Click startup parameters:

You will then see a page that lists information, click Restart on the right:

You will then choose which environment you want to connect to:

I hope this information is useful
