• After Effects CS4 / Illustrator scaling of fonts problem

  I created a file Adobe Illlustrator consisting of three layers of text in three sizes of fonts, 1296, 72 and 6 points on a computer running WIndows Vista with CS4 (all updates) using the Impact font without mods.  Then I used it in After Effects to create a pixel annimation 1280/720 can evolve from the largest to the smallest font.  I have anti-aliasing more accurate film and NOMINAL value is not defined in the timeline panel.  As you can see from the example, it makes good to a point, then it starts to Pixelize.   You shouldn't have CUDA software isntalled on that computer. Uninstall it.

  Remove the MP3.  It is not any kind of audio compressed which works well in AE.  Change the MS to wav or aiff.

  If you use After Effects CS5.5, the latest version is 10.5.1. See the next page. As this page says this update is not available through help > updates. This update fixes two bugs. It is not a critical update, unless you need it for these two bugs. None of them are accidents, so this will not help with accidents that you quote.

  The reason why you got an error, is that you tried to install a (10.0.1) update for After Effects CS5, not After Effects CS5.5.

  I've heard a similar problen with QtWidgets in a different context, and that the only solution was to connect the Qt libraries statically.

  Another short in the dark: try putting the dll Qt somewhere in the path (if they aren't already) or to the folder where the "After Effects.exe', because I remember, there could be situations where the"current"Directory isn't the plugin but the source of the host folder.
